Hi all,
I have a Dot or a small Square on the top left of my screen !
What is it ? and how can I get rid of it ?
There was no program running in the task manager when I took the screenshot, see it in the attachment.
Soft reset get rid of it?
I have it too on Itje´s 6.5, i think it comes from the new panel manager.

No it don't, and it is not there all the time, is comes and goes !

I'm using Itje´s 4.5 rom, but I think I had it also in the original R2A UK rom.
I suspect it has got something to do with Finger Keyboard 2. I have the square too but only in landscape mode. See if you can get rid of the square by changing the SIP to some other keyboard.
I see you're using Gtrab's taskbar, perhaps that has something to do with it?

Yesssssss ! thats it !!
When I clicked on it now the letter "q" from the Finger Keyboard 2 appeared in the bottom of the screen !
Now how can we fix this? I like Finger Keyboard 2 !
i have the same dot at the top of my screen, but only in landscape mode.
i have finger keyboard 2 and gtrab's "F" series icons.
Its Finger Keyboard 2.
Can any one help as with a Fix for this?

There is no F11 key on the Shift, which is very annoying for full screen browser operation - can anybody suggest the best way to fix this please?
I use firefox, and there are several plugins for use with smaller screens, which shrink or remove the menus and give you an onscreen icon to switch to fullscreen.

Thanks, I use FF too, with LittleFox and FullerScreen addons. There is no on-screen button for full screen though as far as I can see?
Fullerscreen gives me a small icon at the bottom right of the browser window, which switches to full screen when clicked.

I understand your pain.. FF is so bad in full screen ... but there is a button in IE to go full screen without using the F11 key ! you just need to press "tools" and then "full screen" and it's ok ..isn't it ?

Yes that's true, but what about coming back from full screen?
Move the cursor to the bottom of the screen, the toolbar pops up again.

use internet explorer.. it's better ! you just need to go to the top of the window to get the bars back !

It's not that easy.
With my fingers I cannot get there. So I need the pen.
And even with the pen in the upper corner it does not always work nicely.
to get back
Realize that, with such a small screen, you continuously switch from full to normal IE screen.
F10 would be great for me.

you know... when I will have the shift .. I will keep IE in full screen and use alt+tab (or flip 3D) to switch between windows.. and never come back to non-full screen.
why do you need to come back in normal screen ? alt-tab and flip3D are not enough ?

Maybe that's not such a bad idea at all.
You know. Working with normal screens, I am not so much used to shortcuts. I use to click the toolbar down there to select other things.
And now... Alt Tab...
You know something. I have about 30 years of computer experience, and never thought about it.
You are never too old.....
And in the future somebody will come up with some solutions when the keyboard is closed.

yeah I understand !!!! you know , the shift's mouse is like the mouse on my first computer (20 years ago) which had a trackball on the right side of the notebook. the trackball can be detached.
keyconfig firefox addon allows you to remap any keyboard shorcut. I use it to change Full screen to F9 instead of F11.

So I also can use it with IE.
And I also solve my eternal capslock problem by mapping the CapsLock to Left Shift.
And the tab key is my F11 now.

Same problem here.
As a question... do you have CE-Star installed? I do... do you guys?
I just press the little keyboard on the screen to bring the on screen keyboard up then i close the on screen keyboard
I have ce star installed and dont get this at all...

i have noticed a thing in bsb tweaks named htc magnifier i activated it but i don't know its function , what is its function ?
start a new sms, type something, now press and hold screen, text will be magnified while you drag to set left select marker and right select marker.
if only it worked in all apps eh? hehe

Isn't that a system wide function on the iphone? Since upgrading to a Leo from a touch pro 2, I've decided its a necessity due to the inherent lack of accuracy of capacitive screens compared to pressure sensitive screens with a stylus.
Does android have it? Does anyone know if any work is being done to bring a system-wide magnifier to WM 6.1 or 6.5?
You can always bring it up by pressing the keyboard icon at the bottom of the screen. How can you remove it though ?
All Apps handle the keyboard differently. Only a very few let you press the keyboard button again to remove it. Some let you scroll the App underneath. Some don't let you do anything.
A good example is Windows Explorer. Have a play and see what I mean.
Am I missing something, is there a solution ?
hey hesian, sorry but i dont have a solution but am in agreement with you on this. my example is while using opera the keboard icon remains and blocks out the "tabs" icon when in portrait. hope someone may know this one.
my phone is HD2 with lynx-ex 1.4.1 rom.

Have a go with SLIDE IT i have been using it for a few days now and its very good same as swype or you can disable the swype part, has a lot of features including ARROW KEYS !!!!!!
ive installed swype but i can see the config page but cant get it to replace the standard keyboard...come to think of it i could never get it working on the HD2 either....must be me....

Open a browser page and hold down on the browser Address and a box will pop up to give you the option to change keyboard

Nice one lufc, I couldn't work it out on the Dell but knew how to do it on the HD2
Does anyone know why the when using swype in landscape mode, the text area becomes massive, shifting previous texts off screen....there's about 8 or 9 lines available and almost the whole length of the screen....is there anyway to reduce this box so it expands when filled like in portrait mode?
