No useless stuff in it, really fast, very good reply on gestures, no freezes so far and TomTom 6 is working.
Not working for me right now:
-Switching through e-mail accounts by gesture
-Scrolling in "all programs", when starting it from the programs tab
-Active Sync activates itsself and runs in the background??
-"Long Press End Key" - Terminate Data Connection not working (other functions are working correct).
To use customized cities in the weather tab, you have to install the weather patched Manila 2D.exe, to start internet from the internet tab, you have to first install Opera. Also NetCF 3.5 is missing.

test results
Very good rom, not yet mesured the speed with spb and sktools benchmark but fully functional:
- automatic sound profile ok,
- Photo and video ok,
- mail with exchange server ok and sliding mail works and do not crash,
- music tab working and refresh is ok,
So the only things you need to complete:
- install .netcf 3.5 and activate it,
- add opera which is missing,
then install your favorite programs.
Very good rom.
I've also tested to add Touchflo3D but it's not very operational: not working so bad so the 3D driver is really here but some blocking bugs not due to the rom but to the actual state of TF3D make it unusable: not possible to standby the phone, some blocage time to time which leads to a reset, ...
Very nice but for TF3D, we have still to wait.

I tried 'it also ( coming from the v33F with radio 1.59.42.15)
2 problems :
"all programs" works only one time after the boot or a reset , then it doesn't work anymore ( not important ) and as folderview is soon in the rom it cannot be solved.
sipchange don't works : i've to choose "letter recognizer" after each reboot (important for me )
sipchange is also in th rom , so it cannot be changed.
i tried reinstalling the rom also hard reset but solved nothing.
i came back to the v33f which is for me the best Rom i've ever had Thank you PdaViet !!

I have the same problem .. however its a problem I could live with.

This does not work the camera rom

I was using Syrius R1 and I tried this PhamQuang's ROM eith the last Radio Rom. I must say that for me is more stable and usable. No freezing problems and no problems with the calendar (with R1 sometimes it didn't show the next appointment until I did a Soft-Reset).
As for the problems I have they are minor:

Same thing here.
2- No possible to scroll in the programs tab when getting there from the "All Programs" link.

Excellent ROM, Amazing and FAST, two issues however:
how to retrieve the DIALER & CALLER ID used on many other new roms like Syrius, etc. [Full screen Caller ID]
and CAMERA...How bout the MICRO MOD and AutoFocus!

Destinator 7 is SO much better than TomTom.

If you install Opera cab then everything will be fine. If you intend to use Maps Search tab then you will also need to install Google Maps as well.
I had to install Net CF 3.5 for Advanced Config to work too......

very nice and stable rom
So I was under PDAVIet V42. I had only one pb with my bluetooth stereo with my parrot MK6000: the rewind, forward, play/pause button was not working.
It's fixed with this rom.
Yes you have to complete the rom: opera, .net cf 3.5, advance config tools, googlemap if you want to use the localization tab page,...
Even thought, it's a really stable and good rom.
I have 42 Mb free ram just after reboot. and after one day run without reboot 36Mb ram free.

Searching Carrier
HI:
I installed the rom and it works great with one exception, everytime I restart, it tries to locate the carrier and a window appears that it cannot be found. Is there a way to cancel this from appearing? My carrier is ATT and it keeps searching after setup.

This rum is amazing, reduce battery consumption by 30%, for me it was the biggest problem at Polaris. He has one problem until now when scroll with the finger in the Phone menu numbers are written one upon another

I noticed someone has posted a supposed Touch Pro 2 Calculator .cab:
http://mylostblog.altervista.org/software/freeware/per-htc/htc-freeware-htc-calculator-esclusiva. It looks great other than it is a huge install and it only works on WVGA. Looking at the cab file, there appears to be an XML file which skins the app. I'm throwing down the gauntlet to see who can first adjust all the layout so it fits on a VGA screen.
Also, I notice some images are .bmp and some are .png, so for extra credit see if you can convert all of them to .png and maybe save some space. I'm gonna look into this myself, but I know someone else can beat me to completing this.
P.S. - Not sure if you'll have to resize the button graphics to fit, or if the w/h parameters in the layout xml will do that for you on load.

I've done it (before reading this thread). But I don't know how to create cabs.
I resized the buttons (both portrait and landscape) and updated the coordinates and dimensions in the file "CalculatorMain_NoImgPkg.xml" (installed in the \Windows folder).
And also, I don't like all these small bmp files in my windows folder, so I moved the whole bunch to "\storage card\program files\htccalc"
I attach the buttons in a zip file, and the converted xml (also zipped).
This is not much use for most of you, but could be a good base for a VGA version.
"Installation":
1. install the original mylostblog version
2. delete the calc_*.bmp files from your windows folder
3. create the folder "htccalc" under "program files" in your storage card
4. unzip "buttons.zip" into the "htccalc" folder
5. replace "CalculatorMain_NoImgPkg.xml" in "\Windows" with the attached "CalculatorMain_NoImgPkg.xml"
To get to the scientific version slide out the keyboard or use a screen rotation utility.

Got the dependencies working on the Touch Pro 2 files from the dumpity-dump, here's the Manila:

Same launch as the others-- open SIP keyboard while launching. The sure fire way is on Today->Items, open SIP keyboard before checking TF3D. Let's see if others can modify it faster than xboxmod (I'm busy with my ROM this will take take to resize)

Welcome to the EzInput 2.0 Keyboard Suite project.
Ok, the time has come.
HTC has rushed to prepare a pre-release of its EzInput 2.0 technology just in time for the MWC in Barcelona, and we have it here ready for our tweaks, hacks and workarounds.
These are the new layouts - only Phone Keypad and Full Qwerty, this time.
The first two Beta cabs are ready for download, but beware, this is just for experienced users only.
As you'll see, the known issues are a bit annoying, especially if compared to what we're accustomed to with the 1.5 release.
But that said, the huge use of .xml configuration files will probably mean a quite easily customizable experience for all the known form factors.
Sadly, it seems that although the .xml configuration files might be ok, the keyboard in its current form presents too many bugs to be acceptable for a day-to-day use.
Feel free to make your tests and prepare your cabs and packages. A better release will arrive as soon as the first Rhodium and Topaz phones will be ready for prime time...

Known Issues
Availability of Keypad Layout.
The Keypad layout is available and working, but not selectable using the settings or the old Input Panel.

Languages Availability and Selection.
Not all languages are available on the pre-release rom.

The .xml layout definition files seem to be ok, so this might be a bug in the code.

[APP]UPDATED VERSION HTC Album Version 3.0.1911.1826 from TP2 (MADE VGA)
In other news here is the HTC ALBUM Version 2.5.1820.4127 and 3.0.1911.1826. the only thing i see different is 2.5 version does have Album Social Networking and it works with FOOTPRINTS. 3.0 is truely from TP2 and doesn't support footprints. other than that it moves quicker than other albums. this is all i can see that is different. (THANKS TO CONFLIPPER FOR THE CORRECTIONS)
to use it with FOOTPRINTS with version 2.5 you must have it installed already. When you click on a picture that has gps lat and long cordinates in it select menu and scroll down. under save to contacts you will see 2 blanked out lines. the one under save contacts opens google maps while the one under that one opens up footprints.

Yes, a better idea would be to use a main thread to post the download links, and separate threads for the ongoing discussions... trying to follow posts regarding each package would be overwhelming, in a single merged thread...

Where are the programs?

Hi guys,
Ive downloaded Touch-ITs very good touch flo and so started to download other programs. So far ive done the keyboard and that works a treat.
Problem is ive downloaded the mp3 trimmer and social network engine installed them but cant find them anywhere...how do i access them? can these be used as tabs on the touchflo screen as i really like the interface?

mp3trimmer already comes WITH itje's rom. no need to install it again. which "social network engine" are you talking about?
you'll find all programs if you click "start" (upper left) and then "all programs" (lower left).

I used this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=442154 to get the cabs and installed them. Cant find the option to trim MP3s at all. and i downloaded the Touch-It Blackstone Social Network engine. Any ideas?
Im hoping that by downloading the engine that the social networking sites would pop up under the internet tab where youtube is...you know where i mean?

okay, i'm sorry, but i never used stock rom with manila-cab. but i can tell you this:
- manila works best if cooked in, use a custom rom (i.e. itje's touch-it v.10. but there are many good roms, have a look in the rom-developing-part)
- the cab you used is from november 2008, there's a newer version out now
- "social engine": never saw it in the internet tab, it connects your contacts with a corresponding facebook-friend.
so, bottom line:
programs should show where i told you above, even in the cab i think. and: manila as a cab is slow, cooked-in it flies these days.

I am LOST, however up for installing whatever makes it run that little bit smoother! I like the look of manila i am using now but if there is an upto date one then i can give that a go.
I havent found the ROM you suggested but will keep looking, the first thread i came across (the main one) seems to have the download links removed, any ideas?

typing this from my mobile, so to keep it short:
- you need to apply "hard-spl" first to flash a custom rom (it's a sticky)
- if you're flashing itje's v.10.2, be aware that there is a bug for some people with sending sms. i NEVER had it though. also you'll need to apply 2 or 3 fixes.
- READ READ READ!
if you're going to flash ANY custom rom you'll have to learn a lot. "just install and everything's perfect" won't work. and everytime you flash a new rom you'll loose all data on your phone, so make backup first!!!
if you're willing to get into this - do it. it's worth it and it will really improve your x1. if you want to have everything working out of the box with many restrictions - apple makes such a device...

hope you did a backup of your data - if not, don't come yelling if it's all gone...
edit: the fixes needed
since the thread on v10 is pretty much to read (it started as v7...), for starters the 3 fixes needed with this version.
- Advanced Network (found in itje's first post, under the dl-link for the rom itself)
- "v10.2_corrected_highlights.zip" (also posted by itje, somewhere in the thread, search for it)
extract the files in these two zips to your \windows-directory (on your x1) with total commander (comes with the rom)
- v10.2_smaberg_1_percent_battery.cab (install normally. this fixes a bug that the battery-meter always shows 100% full. alternatively you could install another icon-set from this forum. watch out if they're for WinMob 6.1 or 6.5 though!)
the cooked-in build of opera mobile 9.5 doesn't work with the hardware-keyboard of xperia. either install build 16194 (iit's from an official x1-rom) or try opera mobile 9.7 beta.
every other question you should ask in the thread of the rom you've chosen.
this should set you up, from here on it's all tweaking, lots of reading, learning and adding apps to your likeness.

i have a problem like this one: i installed the touch it manila cab and then i installed the touch it htc album but... i cannot find the program... what do i have to do?
EDIT: ok i found two exe files in the windows folder wich are : HTCAlbum.exe and AlbumSearch.exe, and when i run each of them i have HTC Album... btw the problem is that i have no text in the menus... what may be the problem?

We are proud to present our first German WM6.5 ROM.
For sure it's not perfect and not free of bugs at all, but I think we did our very best. This is a Manila ROM, Titanium will not work. A Titanium only ROM will be possible in the future, if there is a need of it. Most Packages are from the HTC MEGA Rom development. Known Bugs:
- It not always appears but Home Weather sometimes does not update as it should. But I will post a CAB to fix it in my next post.
- You can speed up the Touchscreen sensitivity so that it feels a bit more flawless. Look at the Polaris Tips and Tweaks threat how to do that. Registry-Fix in 3rd post
- Lazy Touch Commander Registry-Fix in 3rd post
- Low RAM after second boot ~25MB, after htcCleanRAM Stage 2 ~28MB (If anyone knows how to increase that value, we would be thankful for informations Registry-Fix in 3rd post
- Backlight stays dimmed until unlocked.
- QuickGPS isn't working
- Some have BT-Headset issues

Increase Touchflo sensitivity

what i discoverd so far:
if you apply the cab file (home weather update), manila does not start anymore. you have to hard reset.
weather update on homescreen does not work with gprs connection, but with wifi!
voice speed dial doesn't exist (or does not work).
it's a pity, that there is only one option in ezinput... (no phone keypad for example)
everything else seems fine at the moment... tomtom works, bluetooth, wifi...
and i do like the touch response settings... to hold your finger a little longer on an entry in file explorer for example... it reduces unwanted actions.
one last question: is it possible to add new words to the t9 system? with the old ezinput, there has been an option to add new words (to xt9 i think). i can't see any possibility to do it with the new ezinput.
please keep up the good work!!

Hi, first of all, I'm glad you basically like our ROM.
- First you should reflash your device and perform a manual hard reset first. That sometimes is needed (even for me).
- Not everybody needs to install the HomeWeatherUpdate.cab only if your Home Weather does not update automatically. It is a MortScript that actualizes from Weather Tab every 15 Minutes. And actualization works on both GPRS/3G and Wifi from Weather Tab. But you are right, that actualization does not work from Home Tab. It's just a workaround.
- The Voice Speed Dial issue is new, but we will check it out. (look at the bottom)
- The EzInput 2.0 is not fully compatible with our device, and there is no fully working one for QVGA. If you more like or need the other input layouts, just install BJK EzInput 1.5 where all layouts are working. And by the way they need a litte less space on the Touchscreen. This is what I did myself. For sorry I was not able to cook them in, but you can use the cabs you find in this forum. XT9 even works with them.
- The Bluetooth problem you have, can not be verified and even fixed by me because I don't have a Headset to try with, but possibly Steve can help you out there, if he has one.... Sorry
Edit: VoiceCommand (Voice Speed Dial) isn't cooked in.

first of all thanks for this rom. It works very well, but sometimes it freezes on my Polaris.
Is it possible for you to cook an "light" version of this rom ?
For example I don´t use Manila but SPB Mobile Shell, I don´t use Total Commander but Resco Explorer...
I think that was usefull for many users.
Once more thanks for the first german Win 6.5 rom I found.

With "Ortseinstellung" Home Weather isn't meant. The Problem is that you have not allowed HTCGeoLocalizationService to use your localisation data.
You one have to start google location from it's tab and allow GeoLocalization. Then it will work...
The Filenames of the google tab backgrounds are HH_LOCATION_MAP_**.png (** = 1-10 and BASE)

I also like this ROM. It tried it, but I had some problems with it. I had to hard-reset some times, because boot procedure hang on this silly hacker screen. In addition, I also was not able to have WiFi internet access. I connected successfully to my AP (just WEP encrypted), but neither Opera nor IE, nor weather tab was able to get internet data.
I'ld also prefer a more neutral background, if this is not too much effort to change for you. And sometimes the ROM is really slow because of missing memory, if there are multiple programs running.
Once your ROM is more stable, I will try again. There is definitely a urgent need for a german 6.5 ROM.

Hi,
first boot takes a very long time, and we did not have such Problems, so I think you have not been patient enough...
If you don't like that "silly hacker screen" just replace welcomehead.96.png in Windows root Directory. About the Background, feel free to replace the default theme by any other you like using m2dc-tool.
Internet access is working over GPRS/3G and Wifi as well. (My primary AP is WPA2-PSK and secondary WEP)
Anyway you are adviced once to hardreset manually after flashing, that fixes some problems like these. Recommended Radio is 1.59.46.12, wich could be the reason of your connection Problems 1.6* Radios are not tested.

Looks really nice at first sight, but IMO the low available RAM is a
real showstopper at this point. If you'd manage to increase free
RAM ressources to about 45MB+ even I would maybe give it a shot.

Thank you for your credits. Your 6.1 ROMs for the Polaris are great. I use 5.0 for fallback in my Polaris. And you are right, the memory leak is a Problem. But we didn't understand how to increase it. how did you manage it in your ROMs? Or is it to different to WM6.5 ? I don't know...
But we are still in an development process and would like to continue our work to a better useable ROM in further releases...
Maybe our Polaris is not the first selection in running 6.5 because all of the new devices have much bigger RAM/ROM.
It would be great if anybody could help us to increase the available amount of RAM...
I think I will PM pcarvalho or gullum in advice to give us a hint or some more help...

So you did not patch your ROM to 101MB ? I wasn't aware...
