XTRAKT: the first games to run smoothly on the touch HD! Works on the Diamond! - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV Themes and Apps

This is the first game with such great graphics and to run so soothly on the Touch Pro. The only thing I found to kinda be cut off because of the difference in screen size is the loading screen.
EDIT: Well after looking closer I found that while playing the game the left part of the screen is slightly cut off not allowing you to see your score. But is still good enough to play.

Ya, check the first post I posted a 4Shared link

this game is amazing ad the shape of things to come on WM
does anyone know of a way we can get the g-sensor to turn the bike left and right? this would be the only thing this game need to be perfect!

it crashes for me even though I use the drivers.. weird.

It's an amazing game but to be honest the ati driver didn't make any difference at all... The htc d3dm driver ran just as good.
What does that mean?

They are probably the same thing, but not sure, but some rom or devices don't have either

Thank you very much. It's a great game.(although it would be more fun if it was using the gsensor).
Ps.For those that they have problem:i noticed that when i had Idiamond enabled,it was crashing. So i disabled TF3D (from the settings) and it worked.Try it out,it might help you too

Oops! Apparently this is an opengl (gles) game so the Ati d3d drivers are completely unnecessary here

try disable touchflo3d>softreset>run game

Thanks for the game!!! works really well, very impressed with the graphics. I did not know the Diamond could handle stuff like this.
Its quite troublesome for me thought, my phone runs average 60+% ram usage and this game takes 40%... So each time i want to play i have to disable TF3D and softreset too

try changing the rom. I use Nataly rom with manila and a lot of programs installed (by Mondilv), 47% free (55mb) after softreset,

thank you it work on my diamond

I'm having a problem. On my diamond it won't even let me install it, it keeps saying it is unsuccessful.

apparently it works with gcontroller. i manage to get it to work by tilting forward and backwards but not rotation
times like this i really wish i have multi touch, tapping the screen moves the bike making me run into things and i cant shoot while actively driving the bike
but we do need more games like this + acccelrometer
winmo is heavily under developed on its gaming and multimedia sections

Games on TyTN

Hi there.
This question may have been asked before, and I used the search function, but didn't find a satisfying answer.
Do you guys know of any (S)NES/gameboy emulator that works on the TyTN?
PocketNester seems to have problems with the screen being in landscape...
Thnx
I know this is not much helpful either...I'm working on a new version of PocketNester which may be released in several weeks.
Try Morphgear.. it works fine on my TyTN..

Cool! The one thing I was put off by with SNES emulators was that you were forced to use the touchscreen, and the interface for that took up a good 1/3rd of the screen!
Are you showing it full screen in landscape and allowing use of the hardware keyboard to control?!? train journeys would be even better (still good thanks to coreplayer but...) if SNES games were on the agenda also!

Will you please post here when it's finished? I thank you very much in advance.
And Shamanix, thanks for your tip to use Morphgear. I think I did that, and it didn't work. I'll try again. Which version are you using?
Regards,
DM
I am using v2.4.0.1, but there is a newer version out there..

Landscape support: Yes, as well as VGA support.
But the new features in this version will not be just limited to that.
Speak of SNES emulator...we'll see
PocketGBA is surprisingly good, I play without sound though so that may have an impact.
http://www.sunbug.net/products/emul/PocketGBA.html
You can play in landscape and assign the message and internet keys to a and b so it's like holding a proper games console
oh yes and it's free :-D
I use PocketSNES - works fine on most games.
Also use CEGG (GameGear/Master System), PicoDrive (Genesis/Megadrive), GNUboy and PocketGBA and recommend them all (well, some versions...).
Fed up of emulation on Hermes though, what with the multiple-key bug and lack of diagonals. Can't seem to play a game without using the on-screen pad and hardware keys simultaneously. Real pain.
On the other hand, there's PocketSCUMM!

[REQ] Helicopter (iCopter) for touch diamond/VGA

I think that everyone here knows the game on the iphone, computer and qvga winmo where you have to fly a helicopter trough a cave by tapping on the screen. Unfortunately there is no such game for VGA windows mobile phones, like the diamond. I hope that a developer is willing to make this simple game for the diamond, It'll make me (and others) very happy .
The qvga version (which simply doesn't start up on the diamond) is found here: http://gamezone.floftgames.com/game/helicopter .
The game is kinda like caver for the touch diamond, over here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=410178 , maybe that'll help.
theres a game called caver ! i think the helicopter is replaced by a ball! hope thats close enough for you ! search for it

Thanks for the reply but caver is controlled by the G-Sensor and helicopter is controlled by taps on the screen or on a button. You can watch the clip below to see what i mean: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p1XA4j8Ecak#t=35s . As you can see, if you tap the screen the helicopter goes up and when you release the helicopter goes down. You can play it on your computer over here : http://www.addictinggames.com/helicopter.html .
VGA version
Hi, I just created VGA version but I don't have any device to test it, so you can try it on my homepage.
no man it keeps crashing ! on mine XDA ignito stock rom! cant get much info from the error report either! may be it works on the other roms
here you need?
try that one...

[DEV] OpenGL ES Test Application

Hi everyone...
I've been playing around with OpenGL ES, struggling to get it to compile, and eventually succeeding to discover that some of the parameters I set wouldn't work on the Diamond.
I've fixed all of the issues that I know of and now I want to see what devices a little test application will work on.
Hopefully, it should work on all the MSM720X based devices, and anything else that supports OpenGL|ES, that support can either be hardware or software acceleration, so those of you without the more recent devices can give it a shot and see what happens.
You should be presented with a triangle, that you can reorientate with mouse click and drags...
If people could test it out and see what happens, I'd be very happy
It may even lead somewhere!
Tested and verified on:
HTC Touch Diamond
HTC Touch Diamond2
Xperia X1 (sortof...)
HTC Touch HD
HTC Touch Pro
it works perfectly on my HD !

Excellent.
Are the framerates good? (I know there's no display of framerates, but does it feel smooth?)
XDA Diamond Pro
I've tested it on my german O2 XDA Diamond Pro and it works very well and feels very smooth - even with chainfires gfxboost being disabled...

C++. Which is why I had trouble setting it up. Koush's managed API is easier to set up, but slower to run...
Attached is a new version that utilises a wrapper for some OpenGL ES functions, and l3v5yExtendedFunctions for some window creation etc...
It should have comparable frame rates, memory usage etc.
It also utilises the accelerometer of HTC devices, tap the center button (or anything that sends VK_RETURN) do toggle it.
You need to copy both dlls and the exe to your device, then run the exe.
Fast and smooth on my diamond here
and the new version is flickering a bit by fast moves
I don't know, if this has supposed to work on Iolite (different chipset), so i tried it . App even didn't start. It shows usual error with "either it is not signed..."

That probably means your device doesn't have a libGLES_cm.dll file. Which means that by default there's no OpenGL ES support.
Something that may be of interest to people here...
This is a game built off the framework created earlier... Should work on the same devices
Tested all apps on HTC Jade and all run smoothly..
Tested on x1 Test1 in post1 works but freezes for a second here and there.
test2 run but displays hello! and then closes.
and in the coin thread i reported it worked flawlessly on my x1

Kinda odd...
But since the coin works, it may be because of the version of the dlls... No idea why... I'll have a look though!

umm... sorry. test 2 doesn't work. as above - just brief hello and exits.
Absolutely amazing work!
This is great. I tried the two tests and your coin app on a htc td - they were all perfectly smooth...
Do you think it's possible to add support for 3ds max model files? That would be completely fantastic!
Thank you for your work, I really appreciate it. Now I can show my iPhone friends that my device isn't just a lagging piece of crap..

It'll be because of the lack of accelerometer... My code didn't contain that much error checking... :S

MorphGear. SNES and GBA in full speed possible?

I tried yesterday plaing snes (knight of the round) and it works very nice but ive got no sound and its just a bit leggy but I think its accaptable (maybe 22 fps)... I didnt try to get it in fullscreen, but i coulndt get it working in landscape mode...
GBA files work really nice, guess they are even with sound. Fullspeed? Yes!
hey man,
I have had my x1 since jan this year and with roms getting better/faster and with people making tweaks (gfxboost etc) yes...morphgear is very playable.
To be honest tho, I dont put it fullscreen...i make it "actual size" which keeps it 4:3 and also turn on sound. NES/GBA games are full speed...I have noticed some snes games are kinda sluggish still (better with sound off).
I read on another part of the forum somebody is making a new snes emulator and its been getting good reviews so far!
oh, ye, found something about the new emulator you were speaking of
SnesGo:
http://sites.google.com/site/snesgo/
any1 tried it on the xperia?
are You sure guys that You are talking about gba and not gb/gbc ?? if yes, then is it possible to play on this morphgear in landscape mode with keyboard open?
gba is not fullspeed on morphgear. its laggy, but playable. Sound doesnt work with gba roms in morphgear.
fullscreen is still playable. 4:3 ratio (actual size) is a bit better.
The problem is, that this emulators were made when phones were slow. They dont emulate Roms like an emulator on PC does. If you want a fast Emulator (GBA) on X1 someone needs to make a new emulator desigend for fast phones.
Maybe a solution but I havent tried it:
Install pocketDOS and run the No$GBA dos version. maybe it works. dont know ...

Tried on X1. Can't get it to run roms. Just goes into the splash screen after loading up a rom and hangs there. Exactly same thing happens with pocketSNES which this emulator is based on.
Finally! Just got morphgear running perfectly with Chrono Trigger on X1 And with a amazingly cool virtual pad.

Yippee!
Good topic, I was thinking about a good SNES emulator yesterday: "I wonder if there's a good SNES emulator for Winmo..."
Well, it works pretty good on my X1 and I'm happily playing Frontmission (one of my favorite mecha game-series) while commuting. the only thing I didn't get working yet was sound, but I'm thinking I should fiddle around with the settings a little. I really like that the emulator lets you rotate and auto-scale the graphics so that I can comfortably use my X1 sideways for a bit more screen-estate.

Nice. The below comment conversation is from SnesGo dev blog. So we should be waiting for a X1 compatible version in a few weeks. Hope it will work out

hey, Im running this on a SE X1. When I choose rom the emulator goes to the the SnesGo splash screen and does nothing.
I tried changing to VGA and then running snesgo, but the problem remained. Roms that I tried was Super mario world, punch out and zelda. They are all in zip format.
I tried to look for a FAQ or instructions but couldnt find anything. Maybe I missed something here, lemme know, I'll be glad to help you with testing.

Thanks for reporting this. I've added a FAQ page at project site.
VGA/WVGA devices shall be supported by next release, in 2-3 weeks
