Can somebody please direct me to the link showing Himalayas JTAG points. Im really having a hard time locating it. Ive googled and searched the forums, Im just not lucky in finding it. The wiki does not show it either, it says to be continued. Pls help me. Thanks

Yes I have seen the wiki, but if you will read the contents, it doesnt say anything other than, a dead xda is required to find the jtag points. also it described what jtag is, and that it has been found on other ipaq and the other device. But it does not show the jtag points, Not even a picture, of the pcb.. At least not for me, I dont see anything.
Any other leads? Can jtag be accessed by thru cradle connection? I really need to know this info. Thanks

I have searched the site and have seen lots of problems with using a Hermes as a modem with a Mac.
I am POSITIVE I saw one posting SOMEWHERE before I purchased it that detailed how to get it working but I cannot find the damn post anywhere now.
It talked about running a 'modem' application before pairing the device and before trying to use the Hermes as a modem.
Can anyone help or point me in the direction of the post????

It but according to I do not have myself understood when you take one pocket in the conditions to need jtag seems to be that it says the technical service to you that it does not have repair.
But of this I do not have confirmation since I have not taken it.

hi all, this is my first post but have been viewing a while,
im not sure an upgrade is what i should be looking at and have never done this before,
to avoid bricking it i would like to ask a few questions if you can help that would be excellent,
1. i have a standard out of the box o2 xda orbit that i purchased from car phone (you know the shop) and it came unlocked to any network, its obviously running the o2 version of WM5, im using a vodafone sim and have followed various settings to try get my gprs/mms/internet working but just cant get anywhere,
will upgrading to a different rom help this.
2. what is the best rom out there for this phone and where can i get it
3. i seem to find the forums scattered with instruction i have searched and tried to compile some sort of understandable document but im reluctant to use it incase i have missed something in my search,
is there an easy to follow newbies guide out there, if so can you point me in the right direction,
i am on other forums for different things and im aware of the etiquate of asking for information thats already there, i have searched but i dont want to turn this phone into a brick just because in my search i have missed a step that i was not aware of in the first place,
i hope you can all understand why i have asked this question, some that have bricks might and others with the knowledge may not, lol, well dont those people,

I desperately need some help.
My girlfriend bought a HTC Touch Dual from ebay which was locked to the Orange Network in the UK. I tried to unlock the phone for her so she could use her Vodafone SIM and have made a right mess! I used an eight-step process on one of the threads on this forum and got completley lost.
Firstly, I don't really know what I'm doing, and have no idea what a 'radio', 'rom', etc is. In fact, in reading these forums I realise how out of my depth I am.
Would somebody be able to help me out. Not necesarily with unlocking, but just getting the unit back to working order - i.e. so the cameras work, the sound works, the screen responds to my taps, the wireless card works, etc...
Please remember I know nothing about these machines, so you will need to use VERY simple explanation!!

1.Please help looked everywear rooting in gtforums for all devices doesnt work even became member of gtv forums but that site sucks and alot if people agrees on that site no one helps now have tried to research so im not trying just to get free info but everything I have tried has not work thanks
2.it does have usb but not usb debugging yes i have looked everywhere and the latest rooting is not very helpful suppose to work on every device but it doesn't and everybody on forum needs help but no help I don't know why its not here the guy who started the site on gtv hackers forum but the site is not very helpful not just me but you can see the post and how everybody never gets any help
