Hi Guys,
I've installed SecondToday and Ultimate Launcher.
On my today, Touchflo3d is running, while on SecondToday,
I have Ultimate Launcher running. In Ultimate Launcher,
I've activate some normal today plugins and also TodaysAgenda.
However, when in SecondToday, the animation in Ultimate Launcher
lags. Damn disappointing.
Even when I've enable Ultimate Launcher on my today and disable TouchFlo,
it still lags.
And advise why is this so?
If you use secondtoday to bypass TF3D then you should know that it is artificial today screen - for example there is no system tray down. I suggest you to use this - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=480475. It will surely save resources and let you access REAL today screen.

Hi guys,
I'm looking for an aps for my today screen that will simply have a few icons that i can customise to launch my most used apps.
I've tried cLaunch and Launch but both arn't suitable.
Any other ideas?
It needs to be simple, i dont need all the extra bloat, just a basic app launcher with largish icons.

i am assuming you are not using tf3d as there is a quicklaunch tab on there?

Is there a way to edit the today screen in touch flo? I dont only want the calender and clock, but also my plugins (like spb weather) from the today screen when i am not using touch flo.

I just loaded this Home screen for the analog clock, but you do have the opportunity to select no clock, and no calendar.

The TF3D UI does not support 3rd party plugins, so no you can't do it. Best alternative is to use other UIs such as Wisbar Advance or SPB Mobile Shell, which I believe do support such plugins.
I am using a plugin to switch easily between User Interface programs. I put together a video of me running Titanium, Touchflo 2d, Second Today, IFonz, SPB Mobile Shell, and Throttle Launcher all at the same time. Its Pretty cool. I know there are memory issues running all at once. I'm just playing around. here are screens. watch video (used app launcher plugin, touchflo detacher, all the UI programs. getting the settings right is most time consuming. Softkey changes, windows startup settings, and icons is all you need to do

add all the ui programs to the panel pages and make screenshots of each ui so you can make icons for each page. I personally dont like any ui starting with windows accept titanium. so make your startup settings for each ui how you want. If they dont start with windows they will take longer to load when you click on them but its better than them all starting with windows. let me know if you need any more help.

I disabled TF3D, because I don't like that software for several reasons.
But one today screen is not enough. I am not sure, which today manager applikation is "the best":

Ultimate Launche 1.2
iLauncher
Pocket Plus
Homescreen Plusplus
Mobile Shell
I need about 4 screens. The software should be easy to configure and fast. Any ideas / hints?

Well, I am using TF3D with SecondToday. Works great on me, able to switch between two easily. Of course when I am on Secondtoday, I can add SBP Pocket Plus, home+++ plugin easily on my secondtoday screen with other today plugin you want.
I tried SBP Mobile Shell 3.01 on my TP2, don't really like, cos it is not works 100% with TP2.
Definetly Ultimate Launcher.
BTW the second today doesn't display tray icons

I'm wondering what the best option for a Today Screen replacement or addition to make it more finger friendly on a 6.1 device.
Of course, SPB Mobile Shell is very nice, but I'm looking for something more streamlined, with very, very little memory or CPU usage.
What other options are out there, and what do you think is best?

There is nothing low memory for our limited titan. spb is the best. I suggest to get a new phone with tf3d

it looks exactly like the htch touch homescreen, and works wonders. it didnt use too much of my memory <2mb
Have you looked at HTC Home Plugin? I use the HHCv10Final which is the customizer program. The HTC Home Customizer is a FREE tool that allows you to fully customize your HTC Home Plugin settings. With it, you can customize the background, clock, tab icons, and weather icons and more. Another really cool feature is that you can add color to the icons and large display clock your today screen.
If you just install the customizer it will check to see if you have the HTC Home Plugin already installed and if you don't, it will download and install it for you!

Yeah I just recently added HHC to my phone and it works great. I highly recommend it if your bored with the default skins
