just bought myself the xperia,
everything was going well to the customization insatter started,
it's been "installing" inhand_signed.cab for about 30 minutes now,
it's not frozen, because i can turn it to horisontal and it turns without any problems, and i have tried a soft reset
so what to do?

Got a problem with my wizard. After about 20-30 min the screen shuts off, when i try to resume screen stays blank, all the lights keep blinking but the phone is completely off. the only way to get the screen back on is to soft reset.
Havent messed with the phone, just got it two weeks ago. Programs installed:
Memaid
Resco explorer 2005
a few games.
Thats it.
Any suggestions?

I too have started getting it lately..Though the occurance is very occassional but still its a nuisance...

My phone has been working fine for a few months now, after several flashes (cant pick a ROM ) anyway, a few days ago it started acting funny. It would freeze just doing normal everyday tasks, then it would just start working again like nothing happened after about 2 minutes. Now today, it freezes on my welcome splash (the one after the htc, the windows splash). and it just sits there. Sometimes, if I let it sit for about 10 minutes, it will start up-VERY SLOWLY, and if you go into any menus, it freezes. I tried to re-flash, but it wont establish an activesync connection. Is there anyway to get the phone to flash in my situation? Hopefully, I could flash it back to a cingular rom and send it in for warranty.
Did you tried to hard reset your Wizard by resetting while holding Comm Manager and Voice Command button?
Yeap, runs through the set up, gets to the screen where it says "customizing in 3...2...1" and shuts off.
Well, today, it completely died. Won't turn on, tried a new battery.....nothing. Do you think, since it won't turn on, I may be able to sneak it by Exchange By Mail???
Fixed it! For some reason, the first time I tried a new battery, it didn't work. Tried it again just for the hell of it, and it fixed it. Strange.....

I have an HTC Sapphire (HTC Magic from Vodafone UK). Problem with it this morning stopping me using it so urgently need some help!! I've included all details I can think of below to help someone diagnose the issue.
Been a very happy CM user for several months now and upgraded to 5.0.8 just a week or two ago. I did a full backup and wipe and haven't had any problems with it until last night.
Just before going to bed I noticed when pushing the menu/red button to turn the screen on, the keypad lights would light up but the screen wouldn't turn on. This happened a couple times in the last week but taking the battery out and restarting resolved it before. So I did that last night and it started up again and I went to sleep.
This morning I went to use the phone and it seemed a little strange, like some of my settings were back to default (security lock pattern went red when wrong, no battery % in title etc.), but the phone worked and I could make a call.
I then tried to configure the settings but as soon as I tried to enter any category I got FC's in the Settings app. So I restarted...(strangely silent/airplace modes weren't options, only reboot/switch off)
This time after the red Vodafone boot logo the phone got stuck in a boot loop - (CM specific: the 4-colour X swirl would be OK but after 3/4 silver X swirls the 4-colour one would start again) and this continues until pulling the battery out.
Left battery out a while but no help.
Went into recovery console and wiped cache - startup took a lot longer but still eventually got stuck in a restart loop.
Will reflashing CM help? Should I bother with a wipe (would rather not cause no backup!)
ANY OTHER IDEAS??? I'm really stuck/frustrated/depressed right now as this is my only phone and I'm not even living in my home country so am really cut off right now.

Few weeks ago, I bought my Note 4 SM-N910C. It was second hand but still got 20m warranty.
When I unbox phone and turn it on, after couple minutes it become very hot, and it got first freeze, on changing screen wallpaper.
I test it later, and i realize that, when I do factory reset, device become really hot, and after that when i tried set up phone, i could'n even go through start setting.
All apllication was crushed, and it turn off, and on again.
When I wait couple minutes, till phone get cold i start work normally. But when it gets hot again it starts doing the same, phone start turning off/on in loop.
I flash new soft with odin, do factory reset and reset cache. Nothing help. I do reset of sdhc card (32gb san disc clas10 UHS-I), the same.
I went with it to samsung service. They took it without problem, but after week, they sent it back from central sevice, and they said, there was nathing wrong with device. I took it and check it with serviceman. I start phone, than start factory reset which took 20 minutes, and it starts doing the same thing. heat up and on/off loop. I send it again, and after week, the same notice, nohing wrong....
I test it again, turn on phone, factory reset. This time factory reset took 50 minuter, and still not end. sick. I gave it to serviceman, he flashed software but when he start it it freeze on bootlogo...
I send it again. Today I going to collect it from service, but i am not expect anything will change.
Does anyone know what could happen with my phone?
Hi! I have an S10+ Snapdragon, I bought it a year ago, the firsts weeks the phone worked perfectly, but as time passed, the phone started to reboot suddenly, no matter what I was doing, sometimes playing music, watching videos, or chatting in whatsapp or telegram. Then, I don't know why, the phone got bricked, got stuck in the boot animation and it only started in recovery mode, I made a factory reset from recovery mode, and the phone started only in safe mode. I took it to the technician and he flashed it with Odin and the phone worked again, but still with the sudden reboots.
Few months later, the phone got bricked again, it got stuck in download mode, with the message "hash of data does not match digest in descriptor" in the top left corner, another technician said me it was necessary to change the "motherboard" of the phone, he changed it and the phone worked again and still with the sudden reboots.
Sometimes the phone reboots completely, sometimes it reboots from the end of the boot animation and sometimes it seems that the systemUI restarts because the screen gets black and I have to unlock the phone with my pin again but the apps processes still running normally. Once, the phone rebooted and it got stuck in the lock screen, I wrote my PIN and the phone got back to the lock screen again, and so on... I have to reset it from the recovery mode and it worked again.
Nowadays, the phone stills rebooting suddenly and any app stops working anytime. I've noticed that when it reboots, the middle left side of the phone heats.
Someone knows what can be? Thx in advance for reading and for any help
