8125 - problems booting up & staying on - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario General

I have owned this since new in Feb. 06. Bought a new battery in August this year as the old one was not holding a long charge. Now in the past couple of weeks....I have the following symptons;
1- Hard to boot up, as in the first blue screen lighting up and then in 5-15 seconds it automatically reboots itself and cycles doing the same thing 3-4 times before shutting down. Sometimes it will get to the 'Mobile' loading screen before doing the same thing. HTC said over the phone that the unit is 'dead'....particularly since we couldn't get it to boot up so that we could do a hard reset. After continuing for the last week to get a hard reset started on power up.....I was able to get it to hard reset yesterday and the phone turned on and everything worked. But then in the middle of my second call using it again...it shut down.
It may take hours to try to get the phone on as it just 'cycles' over and over again trying to boot up. Once in a while it will boot up,...right now it is on.....but I can't rely on it to make a call as it will turn off suddenly.
Is this phone ready for the bone-yard? ....or is there some CPR that can be done?
Oh,....it has the latest ROM from HTC and runs on the original WM5,....no other programs loaded back on it after the hard reset (not that it matters as the phone still has problems turning on and if it gets on....it may randomly shut down

Bricked HD?

I used my touch HD for several months without a problem, then suddenly today it auto reset itself. No problem i thought, fired up the phone and tried to use it immediately. After it rang for some time (other guy didnt pick up), the phone turned itself off while i was trying to make the call.
Since then i haven't been able to get the phone working again....=(
What have i tried?
- Soft reset:
The phone fades to black after 2-3 seconds. The only sign of booting i see is the smart mobility, after the fade nothing seems to be going on.
- Hard reset:
When i start the hard reset using the VolUp button, see th bar starting, screen fades to black befor it finishes.
- Bootloader:
I put the phone in bootloader, get the serial message, the screen fades to black.
After the phone fades to black, i need to unplug the battery to be able to make it do anything (booting/hard reset/etc).
I used the search, and read somewhere that someone managed to get his phone working again after 20 hard resets, but that hasn't worked for me yet.
Does any of you have any suggestion on what i can do?
Oh, its got Dutty WM6.5 R6 and i used USPL to flash the ROMs.
Ok i managed to get some life back in the phone again. What i did was put the battery out of the phone for some minutes (5 or so) and then put it back in. I was able to hard reset the phone and it booted. Problem still persists that it didnt finish the boot for the first time sequence (reset itself). Ill try some more....
Maybe it is a battery issue, but last time i looked it had 83% left...

HD2 completely bricked - tried everything

I have owned my HD2 for about a week and recently it started turning itself off after everytime I put it in standby which in itself was annoying. However now it has started loading to one of these two states
White screen
HTC logo
HTC "quietly brilliant" logo
Windows screen
Windows screen but loading the "today" screen - hangs when it reaches 100%
A couple of times it has even reached Connection choice where I choose my network, but the touchscreen and all hardware buttons are unresponsive. I'm at my wit's end because I've hard reset it several times and tried to update the ROM but to no avail; as I can't get the thing to turn on... what can I do?

I'm afraid you need to send that back to your supplier immediately. I really don't see any other answer.
Good luck!!
Damn I thought so, I have to wait til Tuesday for it to get restocked though! So annoyed with this phone, I have only had it for a week!
Thankyou anyway, this was my last chance saloon before I had to send the damn thing back
so you flashed in a new ROM and it's still unresponsive? Hmmm that's a killer.
Remove your SD card, place device into bootloader by...
• taking out battery>
• putting battery back in>
• holding vol. down and
• pressing power button once while still holding vol. down>
• letting go when bootloader screen comes up and
• flashing another ROM via ActiveSync with USB
I forgot to ask, "DO you have HDSPL already installed?"
Let us know how it goes....

Unresponsive Touch Screen, Forever Bootup

My hero, which ive had for a year and half now, has broken in 1 day, first the touch screen started becoming very unresponsive and took a about 15 minutes to boot up, and now today it takes 30+ minutes to boot (regardless of switching from darchdroid 2.7 to cynagenmod 7, and the touch screen is completely unresponsive.
Anyone know a fix, or is it time to give sprint a visit, and if i need to bring it to sprint, where can i find the RUU, i believe it was the 2.1 version
I would first try if I were you, taking out the SD card(although a factory reset wont affect your SD data, I still take it out), turning off the phone, holding the home and back keys, and press the power button with the two keys still pressed. You should get into a factory reset menu. Now you press the menu button and it will reset and all your apps and phone data will be erased. If this doesn't work, take it to Sprint and see what they can do. It may be time for a new phone!

Phone stuck on logo screen

While i am a noob for Android/Smartphones, I am kinda a geek for pc's... With that in mind, I ask: Why doesn't someone create a program that can be downloaded and placed on a SD card that will run during a smartphones boot up that will start the phone in a "Safe mode" and allow users to fix them.
I currently have a Samsung that keeps freezing when the logo appears. I have attempted to perform a "Soft reset" but it still freezes. I don't know were to turn, so here I am....
I apologize if I have posted this in the wrong forum... Any help with were i should go from here will be greatly appreciated.
try charging it and turning it on....or try to repeatedly take out the battery and then turning it back on.....it happens sometimes one mine
You also could run a logcat to see where the phone is hanging.
Are you running stock?

will the phone go to download-mode? hold the volume-/camera/power for about 10secs it should get to a download screen so it can be reflashed, otherwise... well you know...
Sometimes this startup hanging happens for me & it will only boot w/o the SD card. Give that a shot.
This happens to me several times a month. The only solution that works consistently for me is:
1. Remove the battery
2. Wait for several minutes (Seems that some component needs to cool down, or capacitors need to drain, or something)
3. Then plug the battery back in
4. Reboot
i have found that when you hold down the Phone button for about a minute or so after you remove the battery , the phone will vibrate , do not remove your finger until the phone vibrates ...and it should boot from there.
Solution
I was talking to a tech rep at Virgin Mobile one day, and asked him if this was a common problem (knowing already that it was). Sparing you the details, what he told me is that when the intercept boots up, something gets jammed up with the 3G. And then the phone locks in the flashing logo phase. Now, EVERY single time I shut my phone down, I put it in airplane mode. It then reboots in airplane mode, and I almost never have a problem (meaning two or three times in the last 6 months). When is does happen, I reboot it again, and it boots right up. I presume that if need be, take it into a place with no signal and reboot it then.

heat and boot loop

so i have bought a brand new OP 5. did the latest update to O2 os 4.5.5 and considered doing a hard reset as i have spent a good amount of time with windows phone and a reset was just another ritual there after a ota update.
so i set the device to do a clean reset with wiping of all the data. the device rebooted to the red dot and 2 with dots revolving around it and then after a few seconds rebooted again . as it was late night already i decided to leave it resetting and will set it up later in the morning.
for my surprise when i woke a hour or 2 later i saw the phone is still in the same condition with the two dots revolving around in circles. and the device was super hot around the camera lens region. i didn't wanted to disturb the process so i kept the phone upside down to get it to cool down and went back to bed once again.
when i woke up in the morning and tried switching on my phone it showed a warning sign which read " low battery cannot boot" for a sec and died again. so i connected the charger and the phone booted up with the normal setup screen.
so what just happened? i thought of recreating the issue and i was able to reproduce it again when i charged the phone back to 90% i again set it to factory reset and alas again the thing got stuck in a loop where the two white dots kept circling around. this time i held the power button and the phone switched off but when i turned it on it went straight to the setup screen.
i can still recreate this issue and is seriously bothering me as what is the issue, my knowledge tells me this must be a software bug but is anyone else facing it? though a proper reset happens once in a while where the phone itself boots up to the setup screen but most of the times the device will be stuck on the rotating dots screen.
any help / suggestions / explanations will be much appreciated .
I had the same issue when i reset my phone
Oops Reseting leads to bootloop ??
Same thing happened to me as well. Stuck on bootloop
