Voice SMS'ing - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV Themes and Apps

Does anybody know if there is a program where you can speak in to your phone and it writes the message as you speak it. Instead of typing. I would try search for it but I have no idea what it would be called.
Thanks.

Yeah that would be amazing if you could make a text just through voice recognition

Yeah..
Forgive my "Nieveness" but Isn't that what you use a Phone for?
I'd understand a Text to speech engine that reads off your Text messages. that is a good idea.

ya, nokias already have that where they can read the messages to you. But It does not only include speaking in order to write messages. What about emails. It would save a lot of time if you have to write out an email on a htc diamond. Instead, just speak into the mic and it writes it all down for you.

keep working on this!

Check out www.vlingo.com
They currently have software out for Iphone and Blackberry.
The WM release should be out here in the next few months from the information I have found online. My coworker has a blackberry and this software allows him to email, sms, etc. It's very accurate and does the job well. I myself can't wait for this to come out on the WM platform.

i have watch the video, its really coooool apps,i want this for my diamond!
do we have to wait few month for this
are there no other solution for wm users

i would love this app too

LOL - my thoughts exactly...
But on the Speech-To-Text subject - I'd suggest trialling voice recognition first (or Youtube some vid's on it )... more headaches than it's worth (if you have an Aussie accent at least!).

It requires less RAM to run,
It's faster,
It reads email/sms/mms messages aloud as they arrive,
It's got proper support for bluetooth headsets,
There are a few more small bug fixes, but I'm too excited about the changes mentioned above to notice them
reads email!!! that's all I want...

Yes, it's nice while listening to music on the train in the morning, and have your emails read to you... Especially when its an email saying the lecture you are on your way to has been canceled -_-
Shame the voice is so "blurred" really, would be nice to replace it with another one that's clearer...

Is a demo available?
I have been waiting for this.
I have tried JetWares Bluetooth extension, but is did not seem to very reliable.
If appreciate it if someone could tell me were to find a demo version.
New Sliced Bread
Microsoft has just changed how I look at slice bread... I need new voice command, my phone readin my emails would be killer especially if it can run on less ram... I get a ton of emails everyday from work and messageboards...
email sent
If people keep sending me email, I may just send loads of stuff back to them, in bulk...
After the 100+ emails i've got over the past couple of days, all off people from here...
Notes:
1. There is no demo/trial.
2. It is actually possible to go an buy it (hint, hint), I have, and I am happy with the small amount of money I spent on it.
3. Microsoft have made all of this, and they deserve all the credit, whether they included it in the rom or not.

I installed mine on my sd card and it worked fine except that Voice Command will not listen for my command from my BT headset but is still listening on off of the phone's mic.

boy, so you're not only a **** with 1 specific app like the messenger live thread, but ALL apps?
You think it's that hard to find these things?
Please...
Lame.
And fwiw, I've been using it for a few days now. The reading thing actually gets annoying and I turned it off. If someone sends you a long ass message it reads it out... in far longer time then it'd take to just open and read it anyway.
As far as running program mem usage, It uses the same as 1.5 does.
cool app
I'm trying to figure out how to use it... it remapped my msg button as the voice command button... I will try it for the next few days
I purchased my MS VC 1.5 from a retail store. Handango seems to offer the upgrade price only if you bought it from them.
Anybody know anywhere I can get v 1.6 at an upgrade price?

Chat Style SMS?

Hi!
Sorry if this is not the right sub forum. I am trying to look for a program for my trinity wm 6 that can transform our sms system to a chat style ( i.e. iphone like) I have tried pocketcm and threader program.. but they cannot replace the quickness and reliability of the native windows sms program.. can anyone point me to the right direction? thanks before...
SMS Chat Style
Hi,
I use the program shogunmark rip from a treo (I think).
Works great.
Is this any different or better than Codyppc's threaded SMS?
Search on here for IMSMS. You will be amazed what that can do.
WB
IMSMS looks very snazzy. I may have to give that a try! Thanks for the heads up!!

codyppc's doesn't work reliably. Don't know about this one but it probably has the same problems since they were ripped from the same device and hacked to WM6.
Hmm, I had immediate issues with IMSMS and subsequently went back to Codyppc's. Perhaps I should mess around with IMSMS some more, but I really haven't had an issue with Codyppc's app.
Had problem with IMSMS...cannot receive sms at all.
wm6 threaded is better, buthas small bug. When you are typing a message, you cannot see what you are writting, because the keypad cover it up.
Where I can find Codyppc's threaded SMS?
http://discussion.treocentral.com/showthread.php?t=139379
Hi guys.. have tried all the apps above and i find that threaded is actually really good! BUT one thing that's really annoying and almost makes it unussable is that using the trinity when u write a msg in the chat window.. the line's get completely covered with the SIP and you don't know what you're writing... is there a way to hack this program? or has someone did it already? i went back using pocketcm's sms and whenever i send a msg.. have to exit out of pocketcm and back to to windows messaging for the msg to be delivered.. o you guys have the same problems with the two apps? i can't believe that our wm devices can't do iphone style sms without a glitch..
I encountered the same probelm with you bluesky3012......now I just using standard message application.
In personal, I like palm messaging so much...but as bluesky3012' said...it has bug
It isn't a "bug". That is the way it works. It wasnt designed for our phones. It is a RIP from the PALM phone and the Palm phones have a different display method than ours.
so there's no way of having a threaded sms with no glitch in our trinity? so sad.. i'm sticking to pocketcm for now but it tooks up almost 5mb of memory if i just minimize the apps..

I only had one issue using the threaded sms app on a device it was built for (700wx) and that was with duplicate messages being sent out. A fix was released, but it wasn't directly related to the threaded sms application.
Now that it has been ported to other WM5/WM6 devices, some have encountered issues which isn't surprising considering how much hacking Palm did with the OS in the Treos.
I use the WM6 version pulled from a WM6 Treo 750 on my Mogul and I don't personally have any issues with it. I do know that others do though.

[Request] Auto text on missed call?

Hey, guys. I'm wondering if there's such a way that I can set my phone to auto text someone when A call is missed?
My phone: HTC TOUCH PRO2 (T-Mobile USA)
My phone has a deny with text message feature, but I just want one for when calls are missed.
Mainly want one that can have customize text, so that I can edit it for the different things I'm doing. ( or maybe the auto text message is different according to your profile (IE: in school, it will give a text message saying that I'm in school, or Meeting, ect. )
Just a suggestion, not only for me, but I thought some people would find it useful.

Sorry if there's a Rule Against Grave-Digging. Didn't see anything in the rules about it.
It would be cool if you there's an app that you can set the text messages according to schedual. If I miss calles from 7am-3pm it'll send a text message saying that I'm in school, ect.

Speech Text Messaging?

Ok, so my city recently passed a huge ban on cell phone use while driving. I know I can have my phone reac any new message to me wehn it is received and I currently have it set up to do so. However, I have heard of other phone coming with a speech to text feature. Is there a wway to get something like this on the TPS where I can speak the reply to a text and be able to send it that way?
I don't know of any specific apps that do this, but I'm sure they're out there considering Bling and Google Maps have this technology.
I dont recomend trying to text while driving & dont like applications where you use voice commands but you should try this one
Code:
http://vitotechnology.com/voice2go.html
(not free but you could try the tial) it lets you control your whole phone by voice and you could add custom commands but im not sure if you could set it up to reply to sms.
ps: by the way nice to see another member from el paso

This would be a very cool feature! I am interested in this also. Can anybody help out with this?
microsoft tell me
i had it on my phone ported from i think a samsung device.
it didnt fit too well with the screen resolution and whatnot, but it worked.
although it doesn't work if you have an accent or if you want to send messages to someone who has a rather unusual name
i went to a At&T store for help with something with a friend, he had and still has a verizon blackberry curve but anyways one of the associates there had a blackberry and showed him a whole buch of apps he got from a certian website (dont remember what it was) and one of them was a talk to text app and it work almost perfectly. ive been searcing for an app like that for windows mobile ever since then and that was almost 2 yrs ago!!!! i also just found out a few days ago from my girlfriend that theres a app like that for her iphone. i seriously dont know what microsoft is doin but they need to step their game up and to all the developers out there, you need to beat them to the punch!!!

Didn't pick up on the SMS part. Looking for an app to read/speak email messages(non-SMS). Especially, would be nice to be able to filter by sender, subject, etc.

I use TellMeText Version 1.1.0 on my Rhodium Touch Pro 2. It installs and works okay. If the installation crashes, the best thing is to redownload it until it works fine. Also try the app on different ROMS.
I have used it on ARK_N's ROMS as well as on Leo Cell ROMS.
Make sure (I think) you install BlondieSoft_MobileCertificates cab prior to the intallation of the TellMeText cab.
Hopefully this should help.
Why not sooner.
If someone can rip the install from the Samsung Intrepid I think we can get something going.
The only other option is Vlingo and it is buggy at best, you can search the forums and people have had spotty success with it.
This could be a real difference breaker at this point in time in the Mobile Phone wars, I don't know why someone hasn't jumped on it and capitalized, tons of apps already use voice recognition (bing, google) for driving directions, I don't know why in a world where people are dieing left and right from txting while driving someone hasn't jumped on this.

The tell me ap works for some and not for others.. I believe it has something to do with the carrier you are with. That said.. you guys are probably better of going over to the tell me thread and reading through that to figure out how to get it working on your phone. I personally gave up. It would install fine on multiple roms I was running and as soon as I would to go speak a text to it it would just hang then give me some error.
Regardless... no sense in having multiple threads about the same thing!
Do a search in the Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Themes and Apps forum and you'll find it.

TellMe does not work for AT&T customers on their network on anything but BlackBerry. I ran a packet trace and the packets leave the phone but there is NO response.
WiFi works fine but how often are you on WiFi on the go?
You need to install microsoft voice command FIRST then this. Just search, the cabs are posted.

Emoji Keyboard

I searched the entire forum for emoji and nothing came up to my surprise? There has to be a million threads on this. Feel free to direct me to the most current one, if you know....
Just wondering if google will ever support this. Emoji is huge and very fun to text with. Google already has it for there IM service, so why not on there phones. For me, this would be the single coolest/fun little add on they could do. I know nothing of programming but cant help to think it wouldn't be that hard to add... Only reason I could think they wouldn't is that they dont want to copy iphone... But who really cares with something little like this. iphone didn't invent emoji or emoticons...
I've tryied some of the emoji apps... no disrespect to the dev, but they are horrible for everyday use... its something Android will have to implement im guessing...
I want 2 bump this thread 2 also find a keyboard or something that can be used on Android.
