HTC Touch 3G Restart Problem - Touch 3G General

Hi to all,
I had an HTC Touch but due to screen damage I bought an HTC Touch 3G. Unfortunately I run the last sbp backup exe file of the HTC Touch on the new HTC Touch 3G and the device does not restart. When I start the device it goes up to the smart mobility screen but windows does not start. Does anybody know what is the problem and what can I do to fix it?

Hard reset the machine, run the restore file again, but don't restore the registry.

Touch Screen

Hi, I have a problem with my Cingular 8125. See my touch sreen is not working and I just flashed my phone. Now I am at the part where it tells me to "Tap the screen to set your Windows Mobile based device." Since my touch sreen is not working, I can not touch it, well I did but it does not work. Is there any other way I can by pass this? Any help is really apprecited, thanks in advance.
why not install wm6 standard rom without (touch screen)
If can provide the link, I would really apprecite it and also I tried flashing the ROM with WM6 but I have Vista. I followed all the steps in how to update ROM with Vista but it doesn't work. Everytime I try to flash the phone, it says "ROMUpdateUtility MFC Application has stopped working" and I can not seem to find any solutions .
PLEASE NOTE!!! SMARTPHONE(Non touchscreen) AND POCKET PC ROMS ARE TWO DIFFERENT THINGS! YOU CANNOT FLASH A SMARTPHONE ROM TO A POCKET PC!
I tried flashing the Cingular 8125 with a WM6 ROM, and that doesn't work. I couldn't find any ROM that has the touch sreen disabled . Is there a WM6 for Cingular 8125 that has the touch sreen disabled? If anyone could help me, I would really apprecite it.
- Thank You...

If your touch screen doesn't work I don't know how much use the phone will be for you but to get past the spot your in at this stage of your install you can always use a freeware called my mobiler at mymobiler dot com or pocket controller pro from any of the usual places.
Than you for the software information, it really helped but I'm still stuck, I am at the "align screen" part, I keep tapping the target but never works.. .
I just posted this on another forum and then I read this posting. Based on what I read here, the MDA is totally hosed if you cannot use the touch screen?
Well my MDA Touch Screen has finally quit working. My MDA is almost 2 years old. Now I have a problem using the MDA since I am so use to using the Touch Screen. Has anyone tried to use the MDA without the touch screen?
If so, how did you setup your MDA? I cannot even get to the various button menu to reset all my buttons. I have been using SPB PocketPlus, SPB Diary, etc., and now I am at a loss to even get to the Menu Screen. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
All I can say is that you can try to change the touch screen or call T-Mobile or HTC to see if they will replace it for you. I just ordered a new touch screen I found on eBay and am waiting until it comes so I can replace it and see what happens. If you are having software problems, I am not sure what problems you are having, you can try to re-flash the MDA with the newest MDA ROM or a ROM on this site...
Hope it helps
I had the exact same problem you had, and I finally came across a solution on a different site.
All you need to do to bypass this is connect your phone to your pc (usb activesync) and browse the contents on your wizard and delete \\\Windows\StartUp\Welcome.ink . Then soft reset your phone and you are past the screen calibration part and continuing the installation

Can you tell me how to find this file? I've connected my 8125 to my PC, but did a search for the file and it's not found. If I can bypass the screen it would at least be able to be used. I appreciate your help. Also, using My Mobilier doesn't work if you can't tap the screen as I tried it.

Guys,
I own an HTC Touch 3G.The Touch Screen suddenly stoped working.I tried Hard Reset, then it went into the Known loop of Align Screen.I somehow managed by skipping the Align Screen using the Remote Screen Alignment Tool.
But to make my Touch Screen to work, I need the Calibration Data File which by using Remote Screen Alignment Tool i can put the alignment for my Phone (Hopefully,Not Sure)
Any Tips & Suggestions are always welcome !!!

I got problems with the touch screen also, when i press something on the screen it highlights above or below my selection, writing SMS was nightmare. So i went to htc service and they replace the "touch digitizer" and now my problems are history, everything works like charm.I think you should try that.

Align touchscreen after replacing

The touchscreen of my HTC Diamond Touch 2 had a "Newton Rings" problem. So i decided to replace it. Found a new touchscreen on E-bay and replaced it in a hour or so.
But after rebooting the alignment of the touchscreen is not correct.
After trying "Remote screen Aligment" form Code factory, the screen aligment program in my HTC keeps on looping.
Even tried to use "Mymobiler", so i could remotely use my HTC from a pc and start the screen alignment program, but that also keep looping.
Also used "CeRegistryEditor" to change the registry of my HTC from a pc, to change the calibration Data of m touchscreen. But i dont have the correct data code. Does someone got the correct code for me?
You can find it here:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\TOUCH:CalibrationData
This is my code: (and not working correctly)
511,558 182,889 187,217 847,216 850,892
Here you go man.
I exported the whole Touch registry just in case.
