If Cheetah=Hermes does Panther=Kaiser? - Palm Treo Pro

Basically most Rom Tools for the Hermes would work with Cheetah.
Does anyone know if internally the Panther is basically a Kaiser?

I'm hoping that you are trying to cook?
No answer, sorry

Because tools for the Hermes worked with Cheetah
I thought I would try tools for Kaiser with the Panther.
I got my raws with:
pdocread.exe -w -d FLASHDR -b 0x800 -p Part00 0 0x31f000 Part00.raw
pdocread.exe -w -d FLASHDR -b 0x800 -p Part01 0 0x3c0000 Part01.raw
pdocread.exe -w -d FLASHDR -b 0x800 -p Part02 0 0x4d40000 Part02.raw
pdocread.exe -w -d FLASHDR -b 0x800 -p Part03 0 0x6980000 Part03.raw

I've reconstructed and all went well.
I now have an RUU_signed.NBH!
No, I haven't flashed, and won't until I'm pretty sure the Kaiser tools also work with Panther.
We also need to be sure HardSPl works with Panther.
But I still don't think I want to flash until I have an Official Rom to Flash just in case.
But then We'd have an Official nbh that we could easily dump and rebuild, so all of the above would be of no need anyway.

if you need a tester
if you need a tester just drop me a call!!

Nexus Tools is an installer for the Android debug/development command-line tools ADB (Android Device Bridge) and Fastboot for Mac OS X and Linux. The script does not need to be downloaded, simply copy and paste this command into the terminal and run it to install ADB/Fastboot:
Code:
bash <(curl -s https://raw.githubusercontent.com/corbindavenport/nexus-tools/master/install.sh)
and this command to un-install Nexus Tools:
Code:
bash <(curl -s https://raw.githubusercontent.com/corbindavenport/nexus-tools/master/uninstall.sh)
Nexus Tools requires sudo privileges to install/uninstall the adb and fastboot tools to /usr/local/bin, so they can be run without typing the full directory. Nexus Tools is licensed under the GPLv3 license, and the source code is at the GitHub project below.

[no root] Change screen resolution to increase battery life SM-J7108 and Galaxy On8

Reason Galaxy On8 is applicable is they got 1080p display
ok, let's get started, first you need Adb. If you don't have, download below:
https://developer.android.com/studio/releases/platform-tools.html <-- that package about 7mb
Extract it to a folder, on that folder Shift + Right Click, 'Open command window here'

1. Enable USB debugging (google it)
2. Run this command:
adb shell wm size 720x1280 && adb shell wm density "320" && adb reboot
3. Done. Your phone will reboot, voila! Your screen should still look nice without noticeable change
To reset:
adb shell wm size reset && adb shell wm density reset && adb reboot
How I calculate 320, for 720p case:
default is 480 so 480 รท 3 = 160 then 480 - 160 = 320
That's it
Did you tested it in on 8 or any touchwiz rom ??

How to *really* mount /system in read/write?

Rooted OnePlus 5 with up to date magisk.
Whatever file manager I use, I can mount /system in r/w mode, but whenever I actually want to edit a file under /system, it tells me that file system is read only.
I have tried via shell command:
Code:
OnePlus5:/ # mount -o r,w / system
mount: bad /etc/fstab: No such file or directory
so that gets me nowhere.
I want to edit certain properties in /system/etc/media_profiles.xml in order to improve audio recording quality, but I am stuck at getting that particular partition mounted r/w.
Anyone?
Code:
su -c mount -o rw,remount /system

Does this command work for any phone?
Here is the solution to your problem my friends. Enjoy!
Works like a charm in Android 10 and later. Now my system, vendor and product partitions are read-write!
Use at your own risk!
