In ear phones with roller - Touch Pro, Fuze Accessories

or how it's called in good english..
I am looking for in-ear phones with a cable which can be rolled into some system. I know these for normal earphones, but didn't find them for mini-usb so far.
Currently the earphones are "knotted" all the time

Sorry have no answer for you but I wonder: where can you find it for normal earphones? (or what they are called, not english).

Sorry, I don't have an answer for you either. They're generally referred to as retractable earbuds.

I guess he is referring to retractable in ear headphones,

( I am not sure about the quality of these headphones)
you also need a audio adapter. I am currently using

headphones for XDA II

can you use normal headphones for the xda ii, or do you have to have special ones? because i want to use this as my mp3 player too =/.
if you mean the headphones used for regular cd-players then the answer would be no. the xda's headphone plug only allows the 2.5mm jacks to plug in; the same size the standard headsets it comes with when you buy a unit. other "normal" headsets use the 3.5mm jacks. although; you can buy a plug converter...do a search in the internet for the sites offering this item. the standard one has a 2.5mm plug connected to a 3.5mm jack. so when you want to use your cd-player's headphone, you have to plug in the converter and then plug in the headphone jack. i ordered one out of this site based in hong kong; aside from being a converter it also allows you to answer the phone using the built-in microphone (with volume control). can't remember the site where i bought it from though...
cheers mate

If you're ok with a bit of fiddly soldering then it's an ideal solution.

Replacement for Mini Headset

I'm looking for replacement for Magician's (wired) headset coz I think the one that comes with it sucks (low audio quality).
Anyone can suggest good alternatives with good MP3 quality (enough bass,...) and also as the phone's handsfree.
Thanks a lot.
If you are handy with a soldering iron, cut off that stupid pair of earbuds and solder on your favorite headset (that's what I did) or you can buy 3rd party adapters. If you solder on new headphones, don't forget to get some of that really cool heat shrink stuff to put over the wires, it turns out very professional looking and very strong.
Hmm...nice idea.
Unfortunately i'm not good at soldering.
So it seems i'm stuck with alternative to find a good earphone+hansfree combo....
SOny Ericsson p900 headset
5x times sound quality, + only one with a microphone that fits the 2.5mm plug. I searched long and hard to get this answer as i cannot solder too
this headset is not a stereo one, rigth ?
There are some adapters that have a built in mic and you plug the 3.5 headhones of your choice into it. There is also a small adapter that is just for audio 2.5-3.5. It is true that the Sony P800-900 headsets are compatible with the Jam. Unfortunately I have yet to hear original earphones that are acceptable to me. I can't remember where I bought it, but the adapter with a built-in mic and 3.5 headphone jack is probably what you are looking for. I use one in my car. Maybe somone has a link for you?

But in this case, is there any high quality 3.5mm earphone that also work as handsfree for the Jam?
This solution uses the internal mic of the PPC Phone so you can use any high quality headset from your local hi-fi store.
Can you confirm that this doesn't mess up the stereo or do anything else weird?
I found it! This is the adapter that I bought for my Sony P800 years ago(works with Magician). You can use it to plug into your home stereo, favorite headphones and it even has a volume control. Mainly I use it in my car. I use it to plug my Jam into my car stereo and sometimes I use it to plug in the earbud for one ear wired headset communication. ENJOY!

I have that. I don't like it too much since it feels very fragile (including the thin wire) and the fact that it isn't a simple straight wire means it snga everywhere.
I only use that adapter in the car. It is good for people that can't make their own headset by soldering. I made a custom headset from Koss headphones and a Sony handsfree. That baby sounds really good, and I'm picky about sound quality.
Does the mic work? Can you accept and end calls using the button?
Thanks,
K
Yes, the above adapter works exactly as the original handsfree headset (+ volume control) except that you have to plug in a normal 3.5 plug stereo headphones. If there are other models out there without the reel thingy, I haven't found it.

headphones with miniUSB connector?

Today at the phone store I saw a pair of headphones that had a miniUSB connector at the end. I don't have stereo BT headphones and I was considering buying some, but I don't really mind wires so this looked pretty good.
It would be great to have regular headphones without any adapter, but these were the in-ear type headphones and they always fall out of my ears! I prefer the around-the-back type headphones.
Are there any other headphones that have a miniUSB that anyone knows of??
When it comes to audio there isn't a standard for miniUSB. If you do find headphones you like make sure they are intended to work with an HTC device. One made for a Razr won't work.
Keep in mind that on HTC devices, it's not really a miniUSB. It's the same size and shape but they actually call it ExtUSB because it can do both the sync/charging and the audio. As mentioned, you MUST use headsets that are made to work with HTC devices.
most in ear headphones come with 3 or 4 different bud sizes to fit the ears, my sony DS-980 BT headphones did and i changed them to the largest ones and they now fit in the ear perfectly
I use the Bose in-ear with the HTC USB adapter. Agree the adapter is large but the sound quality of the Bose headphones is like from another world. I also use Plantronic steroa BT headphones whih are good but when it comes to HIFI Stereo sound I love my Bose.

wired headset?

Hi chaps,
Do you have any suggestion for a wired compact headset to take phone calls?
I got a bt but its not always on and when I get a call, I dont want everybody around me to hear the conversation but when i pop in a 3.5mm stereo headphone, the microphone stops working
I cant find a combo in-ear headphone microphone thingi with one 3.5mm jack or a mini usb headset... so any suggestions?
What about the original one in the package?
You can leave your device in the pocket and accept or quit phonecalls.
You can set the volume of the incoming call to lowest with the slider left to the navi-stick, then other people do not hear your calls if you are 2-3 meters away.
I'd like to know a wired headset which shows the caller-ID in the microphone case, like the old sony walkman with the display on the wire, showing actual song and volume. The 3.5 jack will not support this, i know.
yeah you can just leave any 3.5mm headphones pluggged in, as long as they are plugged in before the phone comes in you can use the inbuit microphone.
The device still rings, so you just put the buds in your ears and answer.
This is what I do with my senseinhers.
I'd like a decent replacement corded set, don't like the sound quality from BT ones I've tried.
Had a USB one from gpsforless that you can plug your own headphones in just past the mic, but it wasn't well built and lasted about 3 weeks.
I bought this one for use in the car while plugged into my AUX in on the car stereo.

It works great with the Athena, there are a bunch of different types on ebay, just search for "Tytn Adapter" and you will find a bunch.
Pretty much any HTC Extended USB based adapter will work with the Athena.
Good Luck

I don't have such a problem with the original wired headset. The sound is excellent in both WM5 and WM6.
My wired headphones died pretty quickly, so now I use a pair of sennseisher buds, the microphone on the athena works when using standard earbuds, so although not hands free, it is at least a bit more private.
I like this from PPC Techs.
http://www.pocketpctechs.com/main.asp?unit=HTC_Advantage-895&area=accessories&item=PPCPADPT17
It gives you both 2.5mm and 3.5mm output so you can have your headphones in one plug and the headset in the other.
They have another adapter that goes from the USB for the same purpose but I don't have that one.

HTC Headphones Mod, or something...

.
Hi, first of all, I did this thread here because I'm not quite asking about the accessories, but about a modification. But if any Moderator thinks this should be moved, please do so.
At any rate, the thing is, I'm still beaten up about the fact that the headphones bundled to the cellphone are such low quality. Ok, there are some superb phones that comes with crappy headset, but you can replace them with any other headphones you have. But this one doesn't support detaching them. That's low quality for me.
So, I went to search for detachable HTC headsets. To my wonder - or bad searching skills - I found none. All are just one-piece headset. Really?
Ok, maybe makes sense when we take into account the fact that for an odd reason, HTC headsets works different than the rest. Just incompatible with other phones.
And here is my question. Is it possible to mod this headphones? My idea is to just trim the original bundled and re-wire the plug to some kind of 4 bands 3,5 female plug, so I can connect non HTC heaphones with mic to this sort of adapter and that could operate the phone.
Or, maybe there's such adapter out there in the world? theory says I'm not the first one to think in this, but I've found nothing so far.
In resume:
a) Are there detachable HTC headsets out there?
b) Is it possible to make an adapter for non HTC headsets?
c) Does this adapter exits already and I'm just wasting time and not money?
bonus) Is there some sort of schematics about HTC headsets? I just can't guess why others are incompatible, but a different wiring...
Many thanks before hand!
.
Really? no one? :/ I cant believe everyone is just satisfied using that lousy headset or just headphones with no mic.
why bother. Any set of decent cell phone headphones work great.
I got a pair of rocket fish headphones. It comes with a mic, and a voice dial/answer button that works great on the Aria.
edit: here is a newer version of what i have.
http://www.rocketfishproducts.com/products/mobile-phones-gps/RF-EB22.html
Don't use headphones here, I have bluetooth in my car .
But, I'd suggest buying skull candy headphones, or even the headphones that come with some nokia xpressmusic phones are awesome. (particularly 5800).
i use these skullcandies because i mainly listen to music on my phone they have a mic on them to so i kan use the on a call if i get one while i have them on
I found that if you download a music player with an equalizer built in, you can improve the quality of the sound 100%
