Car Charger for the fuze - Touch Pro, Fuze Accessories

I wanted to know if this car charger would work with the fuze without damaging the battery or the phone.

I have read some posts saying that it does not matter because the usb output will not harm it. But others have said to watch out for the amps? I'm still confused on this topic. Just wanted to know if someone knew the answer. Thanks

it should work just fine although i would spend the $ for a better built one. i have an OEM htc charger that i bought for my mogul.

sprint touch no longer charges

i am hoping someone here has had this problem and found a solution:
my touch will not charge
the batteries will charge when in other phones
i have tested with multiple chargers/batteries
the phone works fine with a charged battery
i have hard/soft reset
running the stock 6.1 sprint ROM
options?
really rather not get rid of the touch... touch pro will cost me 200-300
thought about getting an external battery charger, but that is not a real solution
this phone is not new. got it a few months after the touch came out.

Your connecting through the Mini-USB on the bottom to activesync right? or doesnt that work either?

Maybe the mini-usb port's busted? I don't know....
You're posting on the wrong section btw, this is for the CDMA touch.

that doesn't work either. the pins seems alright, maybe not though. i can get a cheap external battery charger dock for like 4.99 in the meantime...
the phone does not charge when turned off either, read that was a few people's problems.

Well if you cant sync and the battery wont charge - then your mini-USB is wrecked then.. There is no fix to this without sending it in for repair but from the sound of it you probably have a plan without the insurance right?
If it helps, On EBay some time back I picked up a phone cradle with an extra charger slot in the back for the Touch (CDMA BTW, so I too am in the right area LOL) and it lets me seat the phone and charge a battery behind it - it was like $9 USD as an option at least then you can seat your phone, see the screen (movies, video, music, whatever) while the other battery charges behind it

Doesnt really matter his provider given the phone model and the fact this is a hardware not software or service issue does it?
Wasnt blasting you, just been noticing a jump in "wrong thread" responses from people of late when it hasnt been an issue of wrong thread or the issue asked about had nothing to do with a CDMA/GSM or type of phone in general and it doesnt help people out to just give a quick response like "wrong thread" but not giving them the proper thread to check in...
Its a community of people helping others is all and just trying to help rather than a blind redirect

it's 80 bucks to have that service
or i can buy the part for 5 bucks from hong kong and try to do it myself...
so... 80 bucks to make it work absolutley

damn economy

Car Dock

The clip that keeps the phone attached to the google car dock broke on my dock.
are there alternatove car docks that work with the N1?
If its inside of 1 year, they will replace it. They'll tell you they won't, but they will. Got mine replaced. Thankfully, they sent me two on accident. Which is good because my warranty expired and the 2nd one broke...
Is there somewhere I can still buy the Car Dock ? or any of the accessories for that matter... battery is the only other one I can think of right now. Preferably original equipment.
Edit: Answered my own question. In case anyone else is interested... HTC Nexus One Accessory store. Unfortunately, no battery tho .

A quick google search indicates that the HTC Desire battery is directly interchangeable with the N1 battery.
Unrelated: In case anyone has an official but broken broken car dock I am interested in the cadaver for repurposing (electronics should work).
I made one of these car docks, and HTC told me to try ebay for a battery (although the other poster is right, the Desire battery works too). I found them a couple of weeks ago for about $1 +$5 shipping on ebay, but shipping is taking forever so I can't say for sure if they're even worth the few bucks I spent yet.
Mine broke at the top, just right of the center clip where the plastic is thinnest. I called HTC who first said they did not warranty accessories, then said they would cross ship me a new one but would be charging me for shipping. In the end they shipped me out a new one in 2 days and charged me nothing.
HTC FTW!
I fixed mine with heat shrink holding up good for now but if I can get a new one that would be sweet.
Getting mine replaced, seems that they want me to ship it first tho, good thing I have two, one for each car.

Warranty Charger Replacement

Hi guys,
Can anyone tell me how on Eart I go about getting the charger replaced under warranty? I've registered my TF on Asus' site but I'm finding it difficult to raise a request for this. Basically, the plug on the end of the charger keeps coming loose and my TF only seems to charge intermittently as a result of this. The charger is a little bizarre in my opinion. Could have been built a little better and they could have at least given us more slack with the cable! It is painfully short! Thanks!
Vipergrm,
I called the customer service number here in the US (888-678-3688) and waded thru the many menus until I got to the TF people and told them mine had just quit working. They gave me an RA number to return the bad unit which they plan to replace. I had purchased a spare just in case and now i am using that one as my main charger.[they call that playing the odds] I plan on building a good one using a 12volt 2amp switching power supply. There is a thread on how to do that.
Hope that helps.

Thanks a lot for your reply. So they actually want the charger back before they replace it? That's a total pain. Is there no third party ones available anywhere? I can pay about £3 for an iPod/iPad charger but yet the Transforner is £25 for some reason. Probably the same in US dollars. Oh well. I'll try find a second one here in the UK. I suppose a spare is always handy. Thank you!

Mine died a couple of months back ..I called ...got a RMA ...sent it off and I got a brand new one sent to me. I had already bought a spare so no problem.
I believe (but don't quote me) a IPod/Ipad charger operates at 5 volts...a TF at 15 volts.....look up 15 volt chargers that put out 1200mA or more like on ebay...I'm sure your find they aren't the cheapest thing going.
For an alternative check out this thread....I have a simular one I made for a spare and keep the other extra TF one I bought in my travel case

Worth buying? Hard to fix?

I have really wanted an HD2 for a while now. Today I won one on ebay but I didn't read the description carefully and missed where he said it wouldn't power on. He said in the description that it had been running Android but that he doesn't know much about phones.
He packaged it up with a pair of monster beats tour headphones and a powermat for $130.
My question is, having never owned this phone before, is should I ask him to cancel the sale or go ahead and buy it? I am a fairly experienced Android "ROMer" and after reading through these forums, I think there is a good chance that he just let the battery drain all the way and since he has android installed, he probably also has magldr which I read will not charge the battery while the phone is off. There are so many posts on here with solutions for phones that are in this state that it seems like I should be able to fix it.
I supposed he could have just bricked it and is now trying to cut his losses. He says it just wouldn't turn on one day. The thing is that if the headphones are authentic, they sell for $140+ new so it seems like it might be worth the risk. If I can't fix it, I can probably sell it for $50 for parts and keep the headphones right?
Any advice?
Well personally considering it has a powermat you can sell for $25 and the phone itself if you can't get it to work I'm sure you
could list it for $100+free shipping I think its well worth it. I've seen several HD2's sell on ebay for around that $100 mark in not
working/for parts condition.
Like you said there is a chance he let the phone die and since he has MAGLDR its just not turning on because of that.
This has happened to me in the past but you will need a spare battery to test that out. You can find them
on there for around $5-$10 or you could ask him if he has already tried that.
Here's one that sold for $122 on ebay in not working order so you should feel a little safe knowing that if something goes wrong
you can get a large portion of your money back and have some great head phones to boot.
Thanks! I bought it. I asked he seller some questions and it turns his son's friends rooted it and none of them have even tried to fix it. He suggested i wait to order a battery because he didn't even think it was broken. I will probably order one anyway.

Charger port

Hello community.
I have a recently purchased 6t. Upon arrival of my new phone, I have noticed that when I plug in the oem charger, there is fair play (wobble) in the port. Everything works fine etc. Charging, it clicks in.
This concerns me because I am very anal about charger ports wearing down in the long term future and am always careful when handling my phone while charging.
Does any one else phone do this? Is it normal?
It makes me worry connecting the headphones to the port if I want too and putting the phone in my pocket which I haven't done yet because of this issue.
I have contacted oneplus but it appears they are ignoring me as I never heard back from them.
I have to add that I am a little upset with their customer support.
Hey, I actually noticed this problem on my 6T too, but honestly, I've gotten used to it. I have also noticed that it tends to be a bit loose.....which means that sometimes, not all the time, a little pull can take off the charging cable. The same goes with the dongle. It gets annoying, but I'm certain that it was a manufacturer defect. I haven't emailed or talked to OP in any way yet, but if we get a larger group of people complaining about this, maybe we can get something done.
PS. Let me know if your type C connector is a bit crooked when it's plugged in.
Mine was bought off eBay (I know, I know) .. it was my second purchase.. the first one was purchased from eBay and worked great until I had realized its IMEI was bad.. and I dont have time to try to go into fixing that. But I can replace a flex port charger cable. I could tell the different right away. I made sure there was no excess debris, etc.. but I cannot FIND A REPLACEMENT ANYWHERE except for in China, which would take a month if I used normal shipping for the 5-10 dollars that it should cost. If I want something that'll supposedly come quicker, it would at least be shipped in the US or Canada or even the U.K. China takes months to ship for whatever reason.. they want $30 just for fedex. There's another youtube guide about replacing it that seems to be a bit cheaper and honest about pricing, but still over the stop.. something with eBay. I can't find it anywhere. I'm literally just about to return the phone and give up on the OnePlus 6T ... since it isn't an LG or a Samsung Galaxy Swhateverthe****, replacement parts seem rare and very hard to come by.
If anyone knows anything, please don't hesitate to at least post in this thread. I'd like to get a charger that isn't chipped and barely working. If a file is transferring and I move the phone the slightest inch, you might as well forget it. For me it's not that it's loose.. it's just straight up defective. I wrote it off for awhile but I tried to recently contact the eBay seller about getting a replacement and haven't gotten a response. I was hoping he'd just have one he could swap out or even one he could send to me and that do me enough justice, so long that it works. Shipping from China is basically like asking for a bad cable all over again unless you use a major shipping outlet i..e Fedex, UPS, etc..
ANYTHING on this would be appreciated. This is technically still under the vendor's warranty but I doubt he has many of these. It's a Worldphone, dual-sim, unlocked.. I'm trying to keep this one.. even though I could do the same thing to my T-Mobile and grab a simple dual-sim tray.
Don't know much about this site so do your homework 1st before buying.
