hello from spain.... - Touch 3G General

Hello:
One question about htc jade:
Where is incrusted the stylus?
I don´t have seen in internet-previews of the product.
The box contain one or two stylus?.
Thank you and sorry for my bad english.

If you're facing the screen the stylus is on top on the right. No spare stylus is provided in the UK version... don't know about others...

You can see the stylus here:

Screen and keybord ?

Hi, I am interested in bying a Shift.
So I did read the manual and saw the pictures there and did not find an answer for :
1. does the SnapVue-Screen appear smaller than the Vista-Screen sreen? ( it looks like the screen of my advantage X7500 )
2. if I use the SnapVue for mail etc. , is the original keyboard disabled? ( it looks like I could only use the on-screen-keyboard )
Thank you and sorry for my poor english!
Hello,
1. Your right. In SnapVue (or WindowsMobile) the screen resolution is 640*480 like by an HTC-Advantage. Native resolution of the Shift display is 800*480, because of that, you have two black stripes left and right.
Anyway, i think the display is a little bigger.
2. Sure, you can use the hardwarekeyboard any time.
Bye,
Lyvia
P.S
Maybe this thread is interesting, if you which to use SnapVue "better."

Hello Lyvia
and many thanks for Your quick answer.
And thank You for this link......

using swedish letters on english x1

hi there, first post on the forum and need this 1 question answered before i make the decision to purchase an x1!
what i need to know is, is it possible to flash an english x1 with a swedish rom so that i can use the keyboard layout in the same way that the characters are positioned on the swedish models? obviusly it will take a bit of getting used to knowing were the characters which go in the same place as the åäö buttons do on the swedish phones but i dont think it should be a problem.
or is there another way of getting the åäö buttons shortcutted somehow?
thanks
If you flash a Swedish ROM, you will get a Swedish keymap straight away, I should think

In your windowsfolder there are txt.file called sym.0409. This txt.file decides wich alternate letter comes up using the àü-butten. Look at that and you will see how you can alter the row of letters to your liking. I did it with my english version X1. I'm norwegian so I used of course my special letters. See this for more information......(I guess you are swedish so you will understand norwegian): http://forum.smartmobil.no/viewtopic.php?f=97&t=10878&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&start=15
Good luck!

PocketCM keyboard
the screen of diamond isnt so big as iphone ...
there is only one keyboard to use with a diamond and that's TouchPal. have tried most keyboards and still looking for a better one. This is the fastest and best by a long way once you get used to using it.

Yes, but the Diamond's resolution is twice !
clearly the bes keyobard, if you are klookinf for somethnig similar to the iphones is vga diamond 1 keyboard without arrows
head over to
everythingdiamond.info
and install the keyboard with no arrows...
Finger Keyboard VGA is the best IMO, especially if you need language specific characters like I do with Swedish. See link in my sig.
Touch Pal 3.5
Just love this keyboard app. The predictable text regarding word corrections and predictable word choice is phenomenal.
If you take the time to Read through this, then you will discover the hidden potential of this app
The video is great but Reading is Believing !

Question to ROM Cookers: WM6.5 and the old School Keyboard from WM6.1

I am very sorry that i have to start this thread, but i couldn't find any solution
whether in this forum nor through google for my problem.
Well i have updated to WM6.5 and i really like it except the big HTC Keyboard
that steals over 50% of the Screen.
So my question is, how can i get back to the normal original Keybaord from WM6.1(the blue one)
Does any of the ROM Chiefs have a solution for me and maybe a lot of other Users?
Is there a CAB or any Registry Setting?
Thank you!
Yes, l would like that too
Are you referring to the small white keyboard, which needs a stylus to operate?

Samsun Omnia 735; GT-B7350 Microprocessor - Prozessor

I have searched a long time to get informations about the built in processor of the new Samsung Omnia 735. Now I have owned one for testing.
The buit in processor is the Qualcom Typ: 7227 with a recommanded maximum clock Frequency of 600MHZ.
Fine phone, but not as good as the HP Glisten (if someone can provide me an unlockcode)
more Information you can find @ http://www.samsung.de/de/news/read.aspx?pmguid=89eb2cb1-82cb-42e5-9e74-82ae997c3909

Hi Steve,
did you by any chance buy a protective casing for your Omnia 735?
If yes (even if no, actually) - can you recommend one?
I don't care if it's leather of plastic, as long as it does its job well.
Since I'm a student and driving around a lot with my bicycle I'd like to try to be more careful with my next smartphone - my Palm Treo Pro didn't take the few times I threw it down too well (microphone and gsm reception are slightly broken now).
Thanks!

Sure thing.
I'm in dire need for a English ROM - do you happen to have access to one?
I'd be glad to pay for it, if that's an incentive for you.
And about the file keypad_ORSAY.dll - the one with file size 68312 bytes in \Windows?
I can find it using "Search" in PocketController Pro, but it's not displayed in the file explorer... any idea why and how to copy it? Do I need to install Resco Explorer to do that?
Thanks,
Art4

Here it is, with copied with TOTAL COMMANDER, rename the txt file to dll
You can change phisical keyboard language layout in any rom.
You just need to replace 2 dlls in following registry:
1. [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\keypad]
"Dll" = "keypad_ORSAY.Dll"
keypad_ORSAY.Dll to available in ROM:
keypad_ORSAY_0C0A.dll
keypad_Orsay_040B.dll Finnish
keypad_Orsay_040C.dll French
keypad_Orsay_040D.dll hebrew
keypad_Orsay_0406.dll Danish
keypad_Orsay_0407.dll German
keypad_Orsay_0414.dll Norwegian - Bokml
keypad_Orsay_0419.dll Russian
keypad_Orsay_0809.dll China
Other:
keypad_ORSAY_MiddleAsia.dll
keypad_ORSAY_MiddleAsia_Arab.dll
keypad_ORSAY_SoutheastAsia.dll
2.[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\KEYBD]
"DriverName"="kbdmouse.dll"
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Layouts\00000409]
"Layout File"="kbdmouse.dll"
"Layout Text"="US"
"PS2_AT"="kbdmouse.dll"
To:

Anyone looking for a cover for their Samsung Omnia 735, the Bugatti slim leather case (size M) fits perfectly and looks very smart
It has a velco strap at the top to stop the Omnia falling out and you can pull the tab to lift the phone out of the pouch for easy access
Thanks a lot!
I'll look into it!
Hi,
got a Omina 735 since Feb 11.
It's working well, however i don't like WM 6.5.3. Imho 6.1 Prof. was way better, as flicking around with the finger is a bit awkward on the new 6.5.3 GUI.
However I didn't find any ROMs for this device yet. not even here in the forums is a single thread concerning the Omnia 735.
Do you know any?
It's a great thumbtype smartphone with long battery life and a wonderful casing.
regards
I second this, it's an excellent phone.
6.5.3 GUI is fine for me, for the today screen I'm working with WAD and PocketBreeze
The only thing I really dislike is that the internal GPS does not work without network connection. Stupid, isn't it? Is there a way to simulate a network connection so that the GPS will work?

Indeed. It's a really nice phone. Why so few users?
I'm not sure what you meant by "network connection" but on my B7350, internal GPS works without data connection or even SIM card. Does it vary according to country versions?
Hello,
I found some ROMs here: http://www.samfirmware.com/WEBPROTECT-b7350.htm .
Does anybody know how to enable hidden setting options that were present on WM6.1?
Thanks!
Great minds must think alike.. ;-)
I just found the same link yesterday, but due to time-constraints haven't tried it out yet.
If you test it, keep in mind: if you want your provider-settings to be "automatically" working, you should download a firmware with the same CSC.
(Find out typing in *#1234# on your samsung 735)
Cheers!
Regarding the "hidden settings" from wm6.5 vs 6.1 ... I didn't have any luck. All I was able to do was use a registry editor and do trial/error comparisons with my wm6.1 phone (Treo Pro) and changed the settings accordingly. (e.g. to disable the dictionary/autocomplete.)
@Belrei:
I'm using the GPS without GPRS/network connection just fine!
(E.g. I use Google Maps via WiFi without the GPRS-triangulation just fine. If by network connection you mean AGPS-supplied information.)
... if you want to exchange tricks and how to use this phone best, just drop me a p/m.
(I'm using "Bob" and not "ONE", but I guess that wouldn't make any difference in our scenario.)
PS: GPS TTF takes longer, of course, but beyond that it works. (TTF=time to [first] fix.)
