Cool. I had not run into this issue yet but I am sure I would have. Palm should do QA for all HTC devices.
This page is more interesting though.

^ That means they have included in the next ROM. That means there IS a next ROM. Hopefully soon with a fix for silencing the ringer.

It will only fix audio compatibility with the mentioned devices... don't expect WM6
I have been hitting refresh on that site for so many days now, and yet still no sign of WM6.
Any body any clues as to when?

Yup!
Also "A scale gesture detector API provides improved definition of multi-touch events."
I wonder if that means the N1's multitouch axes will be fixed for gaming!

I dunno if that's such a good idea to fix the multitouch for gaming...
If they do what would the whiners have to complain about then?

Wondering if trackball colors are now natively unlocked.

I'm guessing device specific features are not part of the eclair -> froyo update (e.g. fm radio and the trackball colors). Guess we will have to wait for the upcoming ROM for Nexus One to find out.

F1 Timing App

http://www.softpauer.com/f1app/f1app.html
I've been waiting to see this app come from the iPhone to Android but it says so far it's just supported by the Nexus and Milestone. I wondered if anyone has bought this and got it working on the Desire?
can't find that app, are you sure it is released?

yeah, I found it in the marketplace today at £19.99. It just says it supports those two above phones though....
Bought it and I can confirm that it works on my Desire without a problem :] Needs some further work, though.

Multitouch... Fixed yet?

Is there a fix for the multitouch bug, or, is there a rom with the fix in it?

not yet i guess...
its unlikely it will get fixed but even with the bug you dont really notice it unless you play games, everyday use isnt really effected.

its a workaround !
ahaha, yes it is a work around, but it provides a solution to a problem, just doesnt fix the original problem which is drivers.
This isnt going to get fixed unless someone can either get HTC to make us a new one or to give us everything we need to make our own.
youd be much happier learning to work around the issues, apart from the frustrating battery issue the HD2 works great, just as long as you dont play multi touch games.
Gentleman your prayers are answered! Easy initial flash, a lot of patience, ... Oh did I mention this updates THROUGH ZUNE until 7712 MANGO =D

except that doesnt fix the multi touch bug
it's not fixed, we can't play games like sonic (with joystick on the left and button to the right to jump) because if we go right and we press the jump button, it stop going right

[EDIT: too good to be true] Android 8 update seems to be out officially

As long as it's not a very well made scam it seems Motorola just made official that the Android 8 update is ready: https://mobilesupport.lenovo.com/us/en/Solution/MS126318. I can't verify it since it always takes a bit till everyone gets the OTA, but the website seems to be the official one.
Has anyone received it yet and can shed some light on it like have they finally made it 64 bit (I know, good joke) or if they finally have a working F2FS implementation so Magisk can be installed without some workaround?
And how is battery life looking? I mean it's already great but was Google able to make it even better?
EDIT: was too good to be true. They just removed that website. They really know how to hold the tension
that's good news. i only hope they didn't mess up the battery...i'm waiting a bit to do the update to make sure they didn't ruin it

If Motorola shares the information about the update, it's definately coming soon (maybe this week).
I don't care if someone has "different information" that can't be discussed.
Can't wait for it, i might go back to stock (+ xposed) or look for a 8.1 custom rom, i think after the official update there will pop up many updated ones soon.
Still working
