Get Past 'Customizations' - Palm Treo Pro

Anyone know how to do this? On my tilt you just hit soft reset before the customizations began... But I cant get that to work on this. I want to do it because I HATE windows live, its a stupid program that does nothing. How else can I get rid of it? The preloaded telenav is deletable, but I cant find a way to remove some of the other useless crap.

You can disable the Windows Live service, so it will not run anymore. For me, that would be sufficient, unless you want to recover the space it takes in rom too?

How do you disable the windows live service from within? Do you know where the program information is stored so I can delete it?

My MDA won't uninstall ANYTHING

Whenever I uninstall, using the desktop applet or the setting applet on the MDA itself I get an error that the program wasn't uninstalled completely, and whether I wish to remove it from the uninstall list. This happens for anything I try to uninstall! Anyone seen this before?
Same here. Very annoying..... Well, this "persistent storage" on WM5 kind of sucks..... *just kidding*
I also experiencing the exact same problem. The only way to unistall the program is by hard reset and then remove it manually.
Not a good workaround, as far as I'm concerned. Anyone else have any ideas?
I use Resco File Explorer to search for a fragment of the program name, then manually delete files and folders associated with the file. Then do a check for dead registry with MemMaid. But that still is still far from perfect. When reinstalling a program, sometimes it still accuses you of having the program already installed. AARGH! Guess making a workable uninstaller was, you know, just a little too complex for Bill's guys.
This is a HUGE bug. Why is this happening? We need to figure this out, this is completely insane.
I had an Ipaq before this, I wonder if that has something to do with it - Activesync creating some setting that conflicts between the two. Is anyone having this issue with a new MDA that never had a PocketPC before?
The same things happened on my O2 Xda Mini S, any idea to solve this problem
One Solution
My solution is to test software, keep good notes of what settings I use, and then, when I'm pretty happy of the functionality of the device, do a hard reset and start over installing only the stuff I want.
I'm at round two of this procedure but I have a device with only the stuff I want on it and no uninstalled software at all.
In the meantime, memmaid lets you eliminate notifications, and you can eliminate the start menu icons with file explorer, which gets you most of the way. As far as I can tell, that is what uninstall does.

Dive Planner for Pocket PC

Recently got my PADI open water, and therefore has anyone seen an application for the Pocket PC that does dive planing?. Any divers who know.
UPDATE I've found "Reef Log" and "Dive Assistant"
Anyone used these?
Cheers
I tried Dive Assistant on my Diamond.
It seems to have the necessary stuff though I would like some more options.
However, when I tried the GPS option, where you can save your position, it completely fu**ed up my GPS. I was not able to access the GPS via HTC GPS tool or TomTom before I did a hard reset.
There are no PADI dive table available so you'll have to create it if you want the program to calculate the residual nitrogen index.
There is also a windows version but I have not tried that.
If there are no dive tables then it certainly is not worth it, thats the primary reason for it. I'm bound to lose my tables, but my phone is my life (almost) and I certainly don't want to hard reset, it's such a pain to get all my stuff back on it.
Thanks anyway for the information

Changing GPS software of WIndows CE core

Hey guys, i dont know if its the right place to ask this question. If not, excuse me, i am new here.
Anyways. I have TELEFUNKEN ODYSSEY series GPS, running Windows CE Core. Its totally crappy, but hey, i got it for free. Anyways. The GPS program which came with it, is the same quality as the product it self, as you can imagine. What i want to do, is remove it, and replace with with IGO. The program it self sits on SD card, so there is no problem removing it. The problem is this - as far as i've see, the NAVIGATION button which launches the GPS program, is a shortcut, and i have no idea how to point it to the IGO i copied to the SD Card. No matter what i do, i still tried to launch the software that came with the device.
Any idea on how can i change that? How can i make the button lead to the program of my choosing.
The Device Model is TLF-6600GPS if its any help
Thanks ahead.

How to change default saving location on MS OneNote Mobile?

After the first upgrade, I lost all of the notes I had on OneNote, and when I tried to change default saving location, I couldn't find any option for that. I've been told that the only way to do this is to install OneNote on the memory card, meaning that I have to uninstall it first. So I'm wondering if someone knows how I can do that? I can't find OneNote in "Remove programs" in Settings, and don't know any other way to remove programs (other that to just delete random files with the same name in the Windows file).. I would also appreciate an answer for how I can install the program again (its not on the CD you get with the phone)? Thanks for any help..
Btw, some other guy told me that it is possible to do it by editing the Registry on the mobile, but he didn't know exactly how to do it. Anyone who knows?

[Q] My Omnia 2 is breaking down and I need your help to fix it

Awhile ago, I posted this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=781137
No one has given a viable response to it in 4 months.
Now my phone is actually breaking down. It's running extremely slowly, even on high performance. I still can't access any other skins or themes because the problem in the other thread persists. When I view text messages, they appear blank the second time I open the text message application and I need to restart the application after closing it in the task manager to read them.
I want to fix my phone. I want to flash, hack, do whatever's needed to change it and improve it. I've never flashed it before and I haven't done anything to this smartphone ever since I received it. It is not acting like a smartphone at all right now and I need to fix it.
Unfortunately I can't find any help on this forums. Where do I start? I've been to the Wiki and all it gives me is details on what to do with no starting point or references. I want to reformat, flash, whatever this phone so that I can switch between different themes and OS' on it. I can't do that right now because I don't know how.
My phone is the Samsung i8000 and I'm running Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional (CE OS 5.2.21856(Build 21856.5.0.65)). Please help me.
EDIT: After running a format through the hard reset, my text messaging is fixed and the phone seems to be back up to speed. I'm still unfortunately having problems accessing any sort of Windows Mobile themes though, as seen in this thread(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=781137).
Hi, as an owner of the Omnia II (i8000) I found the Modaco forum very useful, have a look!

It appears that you have problems with memories. We must close the applications as and by long pressing the middle button, or assign "close" to the cross in the top cooin: go to settings, regional settings, then click "button" select "button X "and activate it to really close the programs and no longer turn in the background
