I saw that guys like DUTTY uses new versions of the HTC programs we already have on our Diamonds, For instance HTC Album with facebook support. Where can we mere mortals find these updates?

What dutty have done is the same as i doing right now, ..
The Raphael and Blackstone (HD), is the newest builds out there, and we simple just take them, and port the to fit in to our diamond.
It takes a some time to do it, but when its done, its great
I don't think you can simpley update the program on your (maybe stock?) rom, so you have to install a customized one
Anyway, i am currectly building a rom, where the most things of raphael and blackstone will be included. If its interesting?

the rom we have is english but for now i need to get hardspl made so you guys can flash the rom. its dumped of raskel's device which is english and then i cooked it. again guys im happy to help BUT id appreciate if u guys could get a fimd together like was done for athena to get me a device i can use to make it easier to cook and also if i have a device it would benefit oli and cmonex as im always on when they are and have much expirence working with them so everything could be done faster. REMEMBER it is not easy to cook for a device to have. u have to rely on the testing and feedback of others.

Thanks for the prompt rep. Unfortunately O2.de customer services informed me that my order will not go through until the 20th of January 2008, since the stock figures they had were wrong.

May be some video related dlls. There is a Kaiser issue with video and I think people are lookng to try dlls from other devices using the qualcom chip to see if the fix the issue.

I meant I already created a WM6.1 rom for it... it is not a ship rom. But I'm pretty sure if HTC would create it, it would look almost the same, cos I completely recreated the XIP section based on the Kaiser WM6.1 rom, updated the boot.rgu changes and also driver changes related to WM6.1.
It is completely stable until now and much faster.

Sure, but you would have to create the nbh file from a nb image... is that ok for you?

Can anyone please dump a XDA Orbit 2 UK Rom. Just in case it needs to be sent back for repair, as an uploaded Rom would render the warranty Void.

It took me 3 days of preparing the XIP section and after I've got the device it took me more than 5 hours to really get it working (and I was the one who made Xipport.exe). There is no how to, you need to use mreloc to move all the XIP modules around to make space for the new dll's.
Better way, but much more complicated is to start with an empty XIP and add one module after another, this way it is almost perfect.
Let me add some more stuff and I'll release a beta, but right now I'm busy with getting the video drivers a bit faster. Scrolling is a mess with this device (compared with other devices with the same processor)
I'm looking to expand SuperJustKitchen from the Herald to the Opal. Basically, it's based on Ervius's Visual Kitchen with batches to do other things. It currently supports 13 languages for the Herald and usually gets the newest 6.1 build, the newest old gui 6.5 and the newest new gui 6.5.
I figured since you guys have a QVGA phone, I'd start with you guys.
I need something from you guys, though:
I need the RUU for the Opal on EVERY language that it was released in.

Ok, I ported the Opal to my kitchen in WWE(0409-English) and RUS(0419-Russian).
I need someone with an Opal here to test a ROM made with it to see if it works at all. If it does, then you guys can start using it when v0.5 comes out.

Well, I went ahead and merge Opal but only in English to the Herald kitchen. Actually, the switch brought upon many reforms. Can someone please test that nbh that I posted so I can know if the Opal builds work at all?
At the moment the kitchen can build the following:
21054 - WM6.1
23016 - WM6.5 with older GUI 23060 - WM6.5 with new redesigned GUI
23420 - WM6.5.1 with new internal code and redesigned GUI (But buggier)

When flashing my phone it reached 100% and after the phone restarted it goes to the tri color screen with an error "upgrade ROM code error Please try again"

hmm... Does this ever happen with other ROMs for your device? If so, what causes it then? I'll research the error as well.

As far as I have knowledge, I'm having issues with 6.5.5 because you need to handle with 2 main problems:
- Some Toshiba Packages are Windows 6.5 modified versions. With 6.5.5 you have to choose, to keep them branding a 6.5.5/6.5.0 fusion or use full 6.5.5, and be aware of bugs in any case.
- We need to xip-port from another device, and that's not as easy as may seem.
At the end, we have many, MANY!, non bootable ROM's until we get something bootable (that doesn't necesarly means usable). So, that's a hard and long try-error work with many, MANY, ROM builds. Most of the ROM's I've posted worked fine on first try. I needed 9 trys to get UK rom working deleting a lot of files (thats why my manila version doesn't seem to have any ROM penality), but with 6.5.5 I've done 10-12 trys, any of them booted. l3v5y had more succes on this issue, and I don't know what happened with hdubbli and his 6.5.5 build.

another thing which would be create is the new energy rom which is available on the HTC HD2
this would great if you could included this in the new Rom
