This is what I use. It's been great for me

I used to use it, But I find JiveTalk to be a bit more polished.

I use palringo. First time I've heard of JiveTalk. It looks sexy! Downloading now =D

+1 for jivetalk. Palringo is good, but it has this annoying status bar icon that never goes away when the program is on. It takes up way too much space on the today screen for something that is pointless. I switched to jjivetalk and haven;t gone back ...

Read that the latest version gives you the option of removing the tray icon.

I have an error releated to a login failed...
When I try to log in, the program says "login details incorrect", but my user and password are correct...

Not sure why, I know when I set mine up I registered on the site first and got all the registration stuff taken care of,then I downloaded and installed. Logged right in no problems. I have been using it about a week. Maybe go to palringos web site and verify you can log in there.

yes it has conference... all you have to do is make a group and allows you to talk to people in that group... it also allows pictutre messaging and audio messaging

may be due to sd installation... it works much better from main memory... been using it for about a year now, and it does auto updates as well... so for the most part i love it... i also use jive talk because it stores threaded chat sessions

I can log in into palringo's forum..
But using palringo on my device, it doesn't log in.......

When JiveTalk comes out of Alpha/Beta, it will go on a pay to use fee thing. Is Palringo free (and will it remain free)?

hi everyone
loving the site, really some good stuff on here. i'm gutted i missed out on the wavesecure beta by two days. i downloaded it off the web when it was still in beta but installed it off android market first forgetting that the beta had ended.
if i had installed the saved pc version would that have worked? and if so is there a way of wiping it completely off the phone (if i uninstall it and reinstall it remembers that i've installed it previously)
otherwise, i think i'll just have to pay the subscription, just gutted i missed out by two days . . .

even with the beta package installed, the start date for your account would be timestamped after the free window had expired.
Someone has to pay them for such a great service...thanks for stepping up

Garbage app. Can be removed by anyone knowing about these forums. Even their new addon was gone from my phone in less that a minute this morning. Save your money.

He's calling it garbage because anyone with a little know how can just uninstall the app, rendering it useless.
Programs like Wave Secure are great; but they need to be uninstallable.

but most would be thieves wouldn't have the know how, plus the phone can be locked as soon as u can get to the internet.
unless u mean it can be uninstalled once the phone is locked, hard reset maybe?

Most mobile phone thieves wouldn't have a clue how to uninstall it or do a hard reset, but they DO know enough to turn it off right away, and LEAVE it off until they've sold it on.
The buyer almost certainly WILL know what to do to disable such security measures. The only way to truly prevent it, is for the program to be in ROM, so it can't be disabled. You may as well just call your operator and get the IMEI disabled.

WP7 Is acting all crazy on me, I Used Chevron many times to unlock the device (since it re-locks all the time) but now I came back home, wanted to load some apps and when I Press the Unlock button stright away a message pops that it can't communicate with the device.
W-T-F,
I Mean, why the hell is this happening out of the blue like that?
What can I try to solve this?
I Re-installed the drivers, re-synced the phone, what more can I do?

Disable AV/AM/etc
Re-install Zune.
Re-Install Dev kit.
Reboot PC
Reboot Phone
Run chevron as admin (right click..)
Try some/all those.

Try shutting down SKYPE. I put numerous messages out earlier which were ignored, and when I posted the solution I was told that it was common knowledge.
Use "common sense" with less of the attitude and assist others who are asking for your help.

Having the problem unlocking too ...
- Flash to stock WM6.5, latest radio, RAM576MB.
- Re Install WP7.
- Same problem.
Now uninstalling Zune, Developing tool .... will report back.

it seems MS have blocked this somehow.

I had the same problem. i have deleted the the entries (developement.microsft..) in the host file. after reboot it works fine.

I have the same problem. I got it unlocked, locked it again and now i can't unlock it anymore

UPDATE:
After re-formatting the phone via hard reset, I found out Skype was on... so i'm stupid.
Just re-check the usual suspects.

Ok to Re-Unlock wich means microsoft has relock it, go to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc
you will find hosts, right click open it with note pad, and delete any references to windowsphone developer services.

Thank you mate, this trick also resolved Zune software as i was unable to log-in but now i can!! i will try the market to see if i could install anything.

just checked my host file and it seems i also have it in there too, any reason why that entry is blocked and actually in my hosts file?

Read here what the developers of Chevron Unlock say:
"Contrary to circulating reports, Windows Phone 7 devices unlocked via ChevronWP7 are not being targeted by Microsoft. Instead, the phone is reverting back as a result of a periodic check. Simply put, the phone rings Microsoft and asks “Hey, am I supposed to be unlocked?”. If Microsoft responds with a “No, what are you thinking?”, the phone apologizes and initiates a lock down."
and now the phone tell zune to add this entry in hosts, that this phone will not be unlocked as developer

yes, you can install an app, but not it will not activate without having it already configured
AntiDroidTheft is a very good one

and then you can find your phone online

unfortunately for it and all other similar software to work, you will need to have had it pre-installed and configured
Anti DT requires the least config to work
if you have a smart Coder friend, maybe he can upload a new version of this App modified to install and start automatically with a predefined secret password
then you install it from the new Android Market
and it will install and activate itself on its own, and you might have a chance at finding your phone, and trace it to where the guy live

will tmobile be able to help at all if i call them because none of my frienda would be able to make that program. thanks though please any ideas

Then send a SMS to your phone with the secret code and command. The default secret code is 1234.
List of commands:

Unless your gps is on, the location of your phone isn't going to be accurate. Just hope that if a person did steal the phone, they won't be removing the app. Since when the phone receives the message, it will play the ringtone and notifications will pop up.

Also how do i know what the code is if i dont have my phone?

I'm only asking because you didn't mention it specifically, but did you try the simplest method first of calling you're own number and seeing if someone answers? Also, send a text message to the phone saying please call me.
You said "seems like" someone took it. Maybe you dropped it or left it and an honest person has it and will gladly return it. Worth a shot if you haven't yet.

No longer supported but still works. The app doesn't depend on a server or anything, just the phone.

Did you actually try it yet? It works for me. I tested it.
Go to the market and have it remotely downloaded onto your phone. Then send the phone commands.
If you can't get the app (or any other app) downloaded onto your phone for whatever reason, then of course this won't work or any other method that I can think of.
I wouldn't be suggesting it if it didn't work. What's the point in doing that? I got nothing to gain from it.

I'll confirm this works. I just went to the link you provided earlier on my CR-48, then told the Market to install it to my phone which is across the room from me.
I waited a few minutes, then used my Google Voice web account to send the "1234 Locate" to my phone. A few seconds later I heard a text message arrive on the phone. A few seconds later I got a text message back from the phone that said my location would be determined in under 5 minutes, and then about a minute later I got another message from the phone that was the latitude and longitude of the phone, and then another link with a link that opened Google Maps on my laptop to right where my phone is.
AWESOME.
I've got WaveSucure & MobileDefense both on my phones, and this is simpler and easier than either of those. Good find.

Hey man thanks a lot for all your help i just assumed it didnt work because of the error message but im trying it out. I downloaded it online and in the MY Account tab on the market website it says the download is complete so i texted it from my dads phone saying 1234 locate. I havent gotten a response yet but heres to hoping it will work.

if you can't locate your phone after a few days
report the IMEI # as stolen so they can block it, and make the phone useless for resale

some how it had fallen in my friends backpack. he didnt find it until a while later but man was i scared it had been stolen, the relief i had when i saw him holding it...
plus for some reason all the apps werent downloading even though the phone was on the whole time...

Fine job making a Windows program. Unfortunately I do not know most of those apps so I will not select them. Is it too much to ask someone for a list of apk name versus function name?

The apk name is listed along with the packagename in the list. If you are unsure what things are safe to block/disable. There are plenty of people on the forum that would be willing to help you.

I did not see the package name so I will have run it again and read more carefully or try to change the size of that field.

The apk is on the left and the package name is on the right. Are you saying you would like to see the App Drawer Name ??

Yeah, it sounds like you blocked a little too many, Lol. You can simply go and save your blocked list and then Unblock all and start going one by one until you figure out which ones you do need.
Please bring all feedback and questions over to the forum dedicated for this.

Here's one thing to think about also, by accident I blocked the Google stock email , not the Gmail. I went back to unblock and I had to re-enter all my emails back again. So what I'm saying after a block and then an un-block it wipes the app. Did you expect that to happen or should I expect that to happen for most apps be turned back on?

That's odd, it doesn't wipe any data. Nor have I had an issue like that. Let me look into it.

svc.apk
I got lucky, was akind of dumb on one, all I had to do is look at the app name on the right for the calander. The update connection was SyncMLSsvc.apk
