Install this - http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=58063&d=1194986892
Its the WM5/6 SDHC patch.
Please, a word of advice though.... The search function on the top bar is there for a reason, most people ignore posts (or flame them) for help when it is easily found by a quick search.
Also, information is neeed, SPL, ROM, Device.... these can help.
At the time I answered this 21 people had "looked" but not replied.
Cheers...

Confirm this please
Ultramag69: are u 100% that this can patch the SD to allow read microSD HC????
I want to buy a 8Gb MicroSDHC or 4Gb... and i know that there is nonHC but rarely obviously but trth but i can fount them....
So, this allows to read HCs?

Yep, A 4gb sd card is sdhc.... If it works then you can use a larger card too.... To read more about this patch, read here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=2283773
Most WM06 roms have this fix cooked in, ALL the later cooked roms WM06/6.1 roms have this. It may be an idea, if you want to get the most out of your device, flash a new rom. It will get rid of the bloatware installed by the carrier rom and may make your Hermes more responsive... Just be sure to use a free backup program, like pimbackup, to copy your contacts and messages...
Hard SPL your device before you flash any roms though as it makes it easier to recover if and when things go wrong...
I use PDACorner V27 (this week) and it seems fine. I use an 8 Gb card....

OK
very well Im using V27 too and is so good
I see on 4Gb by Sandisk calss 4... class 2 and all other things maybe it will be the usable and nonusable... but i will try to buy one of 4Gb
Thanks a lot men!!! I will read that Patch thread.

SDHC cards always have either a class 6 or a 4 and sometimes a 2 on them. It is the read/write speed with the higher the number the faster the access time.
Going to V27 will allow you to use the 4Gb card as I use an 8Gb card class 4. You WON'T need to install the patch as V27 has it cooked in.... It was essentially for early versions of WM06 and ALL versions if WM05 as they didn't support sdhc.
Please remember though that if you wish to upgrade your Hermes using the sd card method that regardless of whether you have the patch or not, the bootloader WON'T recognise an sdhc. It patches the OS ONLY... You require a 2Gb or less to use this method.
Cheers...

OH this is very important
Nice info thanks a lot men! this is very important but...
I think buying a 256Mb microSD just to have the IMG OS is the best way...
Thanks a lot men!!!

hermes support hc?

SD HC , 4GB MEMORY CARD...
"SanDISK 4GB SDHC".
and please help me on my other thread named internet options
I have Hermes running WM6 (K's ROM) happliy using 4gb SDHC card.
Someone else may be able to confirm that SDHC support came with WM6, so if you're running WM5 it won't work?
pretty sure it came along at about the same time, but isn't definatly a feature of WM06, rather just somthing that people worked out how to add support for at the same time they were building their WM06 roms.
(AFAIK all the new 06 roms will have had support added to them)
I might be wrong though...
HC support is a driver in WM6
It is indeed a fact that the WM6 OS works with Micro SDHC cards. This is because the HC driver is built into that OS.

Rom Question

Well I bought a HTC Wing few days ago and it should arrive in matter of days ^^ (Pretty excited here) I'm completely new to this stuff and I'm hoping some of you guys who's been around can help me out.
I mainly want to find a ROM that supports both reg and landscape mode (Looking at the Manilla currently) and if I hardSPL my phone, afterward will it be still functional with the new ROM intact if I take out the SD Card? (From what I read you need a SD Card to do this)
Finally would you recommend me to do a hardSPL even though I'm new? (From the instructions I read it seems pretty simple to me; ([HowTo] How to Flash through SD Card ) If that's not the right guide for HardSPL could someone direct me to the right one?
Thanks to everyone in advance that can answer these ^^!
ps. it won't let me link since im still new to this forum =/
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=486840
that's the link I couldn't put up there
Yes, your phone will be fully functional if you remove the SD card and run without it afterwards.
I'm going to move this to General since it has nothing to do with the development of roms.

[Q] "Nand or SD card" Android? for htc hd2

Hi everybody
I was wondering which version of Android is better for HTC HD2, is NAND better or the SD card method.
right now i am using the sd card method (but it loads the android in the ram so it is fast) but i dont have allot of ram left and i would like more space on my SD card for other stuff , and also i dont care about windows mobile as long as the nand is stable.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=870518 (this is the sd card version i m using)
and also another request: if u choose NAND can u all tell me which version to use. (preferance Froyo) but u can say what ever you want.
P.S sorry mods and admins if i m repeating the question that has been asked before

NAND ROM's are just as stable and typically provide a little better performance as far as battery life and responsiveness. As far as what ROM to use it's impossible to say what's best... but I am using Sergio's Core Droid series and it is beautiful as well as very fast, and it has a ton of followers. I would suggest it as one to try out...
I have one on sd still with jdms, and one nand with mdj 2.3 both work nice and both have there problems but if you ever want to remove your sd with the phone on than nand, but to me sd seems the safer bet if you want a everyday build with not a lot of problems.

[Q] Newb Questions (long Post)

I have been reading the forums for about 3 weeks now and am having some trouble understanding some things. I have an unlocked t mobile HD2 that I'm using on AT&T (edge only of course) I want to flash WP7 to it to get more familiar with it before I purchase a Titan when its finally released. I am not unfamiliar with cooking I had a dell streak 5 that I cooked. However, after reading through so many posts I am somewhat confused..the only functions that I care about are battery life, WiFi and windows marketplace (read the posts on activation for that) I have 2 sandisk class 2 micro SD cards one 4gb and one 8gb. Which ROM is a more complete ROM the DFT or Yuki. Do I have to use the 8gb SD for storage or will the 4 suffice. My apologies for this post but between the regions and country's and different radios and cab edits and such there seems to be no real simple direction for me to begin this. I'd hate to brick it on the first attempt.
This phone is bone stock and has never been flashed.
OS 5.2.21913
ROM 3.14.531.1
RDO 2.15.50.14

and here

Step by step, everything you need to know.
Battery life is better with less content, but fairly crap on all ROMS, you wont get your stock hours with any of the ROMs
Both the 4gb and 8gb should suffice.
I agree with Stepthehen, yuki anf xbmod's 'Back to the future' Rom is the way forward considering it can be updated via zune when further updates are released and it should be a simple process as i updated through zune all the way after installing v2 native rom
Before you do anything get HSPL on your phone to prevent it from being Bricked
