Hello, did anyone figure out how to remap keys for Videocalling intol something like just "call/end" buttom? Also im have yet to see images of the "US Diamond" but seeing how it doesnt have a front camera was the videocall button replaced with something else? If so was it an end/call function? Because if that so i need to find a rom to port system file or something to UK diamond to get raid of it.

when you have the screen in phone mode, there must be some way of locking the screen!

Not sure if this answers your question but mine is set up thus:
In 'Settings/Buttons/Lock' set 'When device is off' to 'Lock all buttons except Power Button'
I keep the screen outwards and use the power button to lock/unlock.
One snag is that the phone seems to unlock itself when receiving an incoming call. I therefore can accidently cancel it trying to get the damn thing out of my pocket.
I do believe it locks the screen during installation of the ext rom..
This is done by running tpdisable.exe from the windows directory..
A word of warning though: IT'S DISABLED!
Unless you bind tpenable.exe to a button FIRST, you're screwed..
(Ok, a soft reset should fix it..)

I don't have the device yet, so I can't check right now.
When I was looking at the config file, there was no mention of an exe, it was like a command (unlock your ext rom and take a look at it).
I got the impression this function was now embedded in the OS hence no exe. Probably wring of course....
Then it should be possible to make such a program, and assign it to a button..

Any one work out what the key combination is to diactivate it on the Universal?

I guess it would be the equivalent keys of leftmost and rightmost keys on HTC Blue Angel ('Windows' and 'Ok' keys!?)

I have SKTools and SPB shell installed on my x1
and I wanted to put other functions on soft right left key I find how, it warked but only in the first panel are chenged how can I meke them to be changed in all panels??

Has someone tried out the ssMaHo application for remapping buttons and stuff in TouchFlo3D? Some people are complaining about incompatibilities with the topaz device. Can anyone please confirm or disprove the compatibility?
One of the most interesting things is if it's possible to remap the add new appointment button in the calendar tab to e.g. ThumbCal.

I am one of the people who has tried it. It didn't work for me. The developer doesn't have a Topaz device, so can't test it thoroughly. He has used it successfully on a Topaz-based ROM for the HD. I see other people apparently using it on the HD without trouble.
Can anyone confirm this? SSMaHo can be found here. I've tried v.0.0.4.0 on a NL ROM.
I tried it also on the dutch stock rom. It doesn't work. I would really like to change the new appointment application. It is stupid that almost everything else is finger friendly except new appointment, new message etc...
There are not so much buttons to remap but I use AE Button Plus v2.6.3 and it works fine.
But AE Button Plus is not freeware, and I'm pretty sure it won't be able to "see" if the same softbutton is running under a specific TouchFlo tab, in order to trigger the effect when a specific tab is selected and do nothing otherwise.
I tried to use SSMaHo 0.0.4.0 on a Rhodium based HD cooked ROM, and the process works well, but can only remap the 2 Home softbuttons (for which I don't need a program, as one can do it easily by tweaking the register).
It just does nothing on any other tabs' buttons, so after reading what you wrote, I suppose it just doesn't work for Manila 2.x... Too bad.
I've used it on my Topaz to remap the alarm section of the clock to launch Spb Time. Not tried anything else though..
I apologize if this has been asnwered before, but I've been searching for an hour and can't find a solution. Does anyone have the .cab file(s) needed to re-enable AT&T's PTT feature if we are using a custom ROM? I tried a few different files for the original Tilt, but those didn't work.

Since there are no ROMs based off of AT&Ts Stock ROM we would have to find a registry key to add to enable the button. Can someone with a stock ROM look in the registry to see what the value is set for the PTT Button? If you can't fine where it's at I will take a look at it when I get home from work.
On the other side of this, we can probably get the button enabled but someone would need to post a .cab of the actual PTT application if you use that feature.

I have used the Rhodium Keyboard Controller to set the PTT button to open the camera on a short press, and start CleanRam on a long press on my Tilt2, and it works perfectly. Using that, you can set the PTT button to whatever you want, and you can set it to different functions (long press, short press, double tap,etc.)
