Speaker-Docking-Station - Touch Pro, Fuze Accessories

Hey all,
got my TP now for a few days and i really can't keep my fingers off it
Does anybody know if there is some kind of Speaker-Docking-Station, like the ones you get for the iphones?
Would be cool for musik and wake up Alarm in bedroom...and it would charge over night (thats why i don't look at the bt-speakers).
If not, maybe some of you would team up with me, and we ask Logitech to build one

I have the HTC cradle and this has a 3.5 output that I feed into my nearest stereo.
I have not seen anywhere a cradle with speakers built-in.

yeah thought about that option, too.
But the WAF of this solution is far too low
(WAF= Wife Acceptance Factor)

I would definitely buy one for the office.

htc ear buds are rubbish !!!

can anybody recommend a decent set of earbuds with music control on them for my hd2 as the ones htc supply are utter tosh. either my earholes are way too small or the supplied ones are made for giants ears. cheers............
I use Motorola S9-HD Bluetooth headphones, amazing unbelievable sound with no wires also has SRS WOW HD Surround sound built in, the must have for all music fans
Most headphones that come with the devices are usually crap. Just like with the iPod and the HTC Touch Diamond.

I too have these - and the sound is excellent - probably the best available for bluetooth (i have tried alot)
Only problem is they are not resistant to sweat liek they say (im on 3rd pair replaced by warranty - i run or gym every week day)
so in conclusion - best sound, but bad for training

I personally really like HTC earphones, and always have (well, for the last 3 devices I've had).
Saying that though, I'm a wireless fan, and these, for me, are unbeatable...

Hi,
I recently modified the headset as written in
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=613732
Works verry nice...
I agree the supplied ones sound pretty good for an issue pair, but for what freaky ears are they made for???
I too use motorola s9's and rate them highly.

if you run 10k and you will sweat alot too
i would also add that i have a pair of ALTEC 903 bluetooth headphones and they are also very good, a little cheaper than my S9-HD and they sound nearly as good.
They are a more comfortable fit because they are not so solid (linked instead by a wire accross the back of the neck)
the 903 are a bit cheaper

So, just because your ears are too small, you call HTC's headphones rubbish?
What's wrong with people today? Where has all the common sense gone?

naah seriously...those stock earphones are shyt :|
hurts my ears within 15-20mins of wearing them.
And to make matters worst....try putting on a motorbike helmet with those earphones on :|
Are there also wired remote controls with a mic. and a 3.5mm output for some earbuds?
Cause i agree: the ones from HTC are rubish, but I do have a set sennheisers (with a short cord), but no remote control or mic..

Does the remote work as well?? If they do I will buy it first thing tomorrow
I think the stock HTC ones are quite nice, definitely the best stock earphones I've owned. My only complaint is that they are too small for jogging and they keep falling out. I was looking to buy a new set but then saw the solder mod you can do with the stock earphones and I think I'll be doing that soon as I have quite a few good pairs of extra earphones lying around.

Headphones for DHD

Hi!
I just got my HTC Desire HD and I have moved from Galaxy S and one of the thing I really like is the music controller on headphones.
But I don't seem to like the stock headphones, since I have my own ones that haves this super-bass feature, then I would like to use my old ones.
Is there a headphone jack for HTC Desire HD that comes with this music controller?
I could cut off the stock headphones and do a bit soldering, but not just yet...
I have ordered from ebay a A2DP bluetooth headphone jack, but I think the battery drain is too big.
Also is there a way to disable the call function on this controller? It's kinda annoys me, because if you press really fast the "Play" button then I start calling the last person I have called.
I bought these after days of reading reviews. User reviews are very positive, so is my experience.
It just has a pick up/ hang up option or pauze/play. That will do for me.

Looks really good, but I'm looking for this thing:
http://helmetaudio.com/khxc/media/ccp0/prodxl/CPA10-500x500.jpg
just with the music controller also.
I do have one that comes from iPhone, but it is really low quality - reduces bass.
And it is bit hard for me to control music with just one button.
i use a sony ericsson bluetooth headphone jack, with my own headphones and battery drain is nothing really only problem is the htc music player wont let you use the dolby or srs

Hi fellow dutchman, can I ask where you orderd them and at what price I see the price is MSRP $49 but can only find them at much higher prices here in holland
I'm using the Phillips SHH3580, it's pretty simple with just an answer button, but the ear phone is pretty nice, price is good as well.

Hy fellow dutchmen...
I ordered them for €45,- at Hifi to go in Maarsen. But they jacked up the price. Maybe look for the new version of this headset, the NE-700M. A bit more expensive, but according to the reviews better as well.

@ regdude:
If you go to Bluetooth settings, and select on the screen the device you need to setup (press for 2 seconds), choose options on the new popup window, and un-check the "telephone" option, you will not have that problem again!
I actually do the opposite with my SE BT headset!

People that bought the car dock...

Should be the main ones pissed at samsung.
The OFFICIAL DOCK DOESN'T EVEN WORK WITHOUT FROYO!!
WHY SELL SOMETHING WHEN YOU DON'T PLAN ON MAKING IT USEABLE.
I think these guys would stand a chance in a class action.

There's a car dock?
I own it:
http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Galaxy-Vehicle-Navigation-Sprint/dp/B004EV3YF4
Probably the same as the home dock. A tiny piece of paper that states it won't be 100% functional until 2.2 is released.
So how well does that suction stay on the window? I've never bought one with suction (have a generic that attaches to the vent) and am always afraid it will just fall off during driving due to the weight and bouncing of the phone.
I have the car dock, and it works as expected, minus the fact that the audio-out isn't yet functional. That's not really the reason I bought it though. I wanted something to put the phone in while driving and using navigation, etc that was specifically made to fit this phone. It also seems to stay suctioned to the window quite well.
I have it too and the suction has never failed on me. I've only put it up once and I got it at Christmas. It does have that tiny paper that says the audio out will only work once the Epic gets 2.2. Other than that, I think it's great.
People who paid anything more than 24 bucks (Retail is 40, 24 on amazon) should really be pissed!
I bought both car and desk dock, thinking "oh well, 2.2 will be here soon, I can use it exactly how I want!"
How do I want to use it?
- At home, I want to drop my phone into my deskdock have it charge AND PLAY AUDIO THROUGH THE AUDIO OUT to my stereo, via the slacker APP and the Subsonic AP.
- In the car I want the same exact thing.
*bluetooth audio streaming is NOT acceptable imo
its a great dock minus the fact that 1/2 the reason i wanted it was to listen to music in the car.
i was hoping that it would stop the battery drain i get from usign my phone as a GPS too but it just slows it =\
I have the car dock and I just put the phone in backwards and you can plug the power and audio cable directly into the phone. I also bought it for the purpose of holding it in place when I was driving and using navigation. Its a great dock, especially for 25, what I paid.
I bought one, and it works great, except for the audio port like the other owners have mentioned. It'll be nice once that gets enabled, but somehow I'll manage to soldier on through life until it happens. </sarcasm> I'm just happy as a dead pig in the sun that it charges and switches to car mode when I stick it in there. Makes it so nice for running the maps app and wayze. Speakerphone mode is really nice too.

all you need is a 2.1 amp charger - I can use GPS / 4g/ Stream music and leave the screen always on with full brightness, it wont discharge at all. Infact it charges pretty quickly!
I found it on amazon..

Headphones??

So, I am looking at getting some decent headphones for my 501.
I will be needing a Mic as I do Skype calls.
I will also need something with a long enough cable to have my tablet in my bag.
Also looking for something with some form of external control, to skip tracks.
I have been looking at the Klipsch s4a, which look great, but I haven't been able to find all that much online in the way of reviews, just been reading s4i reviews.
Was also thinking about the Ultimate Ears 600vi, but unsure if these will work.
I will be using these for both my 501 and my new phone, probably SGS2 or Nexus, depending on what they offer. (Undecided on what yet, as I am waiting on the outcome on an insurance job after my x10i stopped working... apparently water damage, but I am gonna tell them to stick that where the sun don't shine, but that is a different story.)
Can anyone point me at possibly something else?
Budget is between $75 and $150 ($AUD)... maybe a lil more if the quality is there.
Maybe also consider the etymotic Hf2s? Great for isolation, great general sound also.
I tried a stereo+Mic adapter and got nowhere. so either the Iconia won't take mic in on that port or it just won't do mic and stereo.
I use the Motorola hd9 they are blue-tooth and work great. They have newer models of this headset. When the ones i have now go bad i will Buy the newer version. OHH And they get up to 8 hours on a charge. Only downside is you cant use them while charging.. mine are now maybe 3 years old..
I use the Etymotic HF2, too. Really the best headphones I've ever had.

Is the IK8 the right one for me?

My intent is to have a small android device that I can run Pandora on. I currently own a Nexus 7 2013 on T-mobile. I'd like to be able to swap the sim card in that into a smart watch and couple it with a wireless bluetooth adapter so I can use my in-ear monitors and listen to Pandora when I'm at the gym or out jogging.
Am I looking at the right watch for my needs? Comments and recommendations appreciated (for either device). Thank you!
i picked up an ik8 while in hong kong, posted a short review here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2711623
though i haven't tried pandora on it as my purpose for the watch is for gps while strapped on the handlebar of my bike. the only thing you might need getting used to is the small keyboard that pops up when you type something. though as i've said in my review, you'll get used to it and the screen is quite responsive. i'm not too sure about using it in rainy weather though.

I saw your post on that other thread. It's one of the main reasons why I considered this watch. I don't think the keyboard would be an issue if I can get logged in as I usually stick to my saved stations. Would you let me know if you decide to install Pandora and how it goes of you do?

sorry for the late response, been busy at work. confirmed that pandora works with the watch though the interface might be a tad bit small given the screen size. however, if you've saved stations then you should be just fine. as mentioned previously, once you start using the keyboard, you have to be patient with it. i still make the occassional mistake but i rarely use the keyboard as i'm happy with the setup. in the other ik8 thread, drlex recommended using slide pass as an alternative to the built in keyboard. haven't tried it out yet but it seems to work well.
you'll definitely need to use bluetooth to pair a good set of earphones. the watch doesn't have a 3.5 jack and the earphones which come with it aren't really tops. i've already paired the watch with an old itech unit, coupled with my senheiser buds. works well. battery should be enough for you if you're out for a run...though i'm not sure if it'll last if say you're doing a 5-hour marathon. i've used gps on it for like 3 hours riding on my bike and it went down 50%.
one thing to be careful though is using the watch in the gym. the specs do not mention "water resistant" unlike other watches which claim to be (which i don't really believe). you might need to wear something like a wrist band undernearth to protech the watch from sweat. same goes for running outside.
cheers
It seems IK8 is 2G only in US, that means GPRS/EDGE speed. Streaming music with that connection speed could be a problem.
