OK then, the original ROM release thread is getting a bit repetitive so if everyone replies here with their known bugs/problems to the "R0" release we'll be able to have a list of all the known bugs and have a clearer view of what is an actual bug and what's something more user/device related.
On the whole this ROM is amazing, this list is not to "knock" udK, but to centralise any problems, I'm am so so happy with this ROM, amazing work, udK - I want your babies

Regardless of the bugs, I do enjoy this ROM a lot allready. udK, keep up the good work!
if flash to another ROM (official rom), the udk syrius logo is still present in the beginning

1. Autofocus does not work.
2. Audiomanager stops work in sleep mode (S2P works perfect in sleep mode on R0)
3. Can not play movie in Photos and Videos tab.
4. Gestures in photos preview does not work at all.
5. Quick GPS stucks at 82% (probably because of new radio. Looks like HTC changes technology of satelite data update. Some where here was that it is only because of bad signature of update.)
6. Wifi problem (cannot turn on/off while using active sync)
7. Can not switch to 3G/2G band in usual way.

3G (HSPDA) is working fine but GPRS is not working, in the original rom both was wirking fine whatever signal was present. settings are correct.

how many threads do we need for 1 ROM to report bugs! C'mon people use the original R0 thread to report your issues. It gets real crazy for a cook to have to go to multiple threads to see issues.
Hopefully a Mod will remove this thread....
I think its a good idea for this thread to be created, IF the first post is updated regularly so the GREAT Cooker UDK, can just watch 1 post despite 44 pages.
Also people please confirm the issues mentioned so that they can be confirmed as bugs. ForumUser please add only confirmed, by +3 people, issues to first post
you do have a valid point, but let me ask you this. I am sure you see so many new posts being created that it pushes other posts to other pages. In that scenario it might make it hard to keep track or rather easy to lose threads... if its all in one place this isnt as likely to happen..

Theres about 40 pages in the R0 thread all repeating the same bugs , threads like these are a good idea if used properly and the first post updated
Not yet mentioned in this thread, the END key will only lock device, even if quick list or one of the other options is selected.

Thank you all for your input so far. We got quite a list. I have some spare time, so I put them together in the second post. I hope .ForumUser doesn't mind, perhaps he can help with the first post to keep it updated and to have enough space for the possibility of even a longer 'wishlist'
so far things that i've noticed that have been mentioned are:
1 - of course, quickgps
2 - camera problems (auto focus, etc)

These are just some minor bugs that i've experienced or seen people write about. Personally i'm loving this ROM and most of these bugs aren't really bothering me. I think UDK is the man!!!
Once again, if you guys already see some bugs posted on this thread, DON'T REPOST IT! if not we'll have the same problem of 20+ people reporting THE SAME BUGS!

Only WM5 version has been tested by me, I don't have a WM2003 or WM6 device to test them but they should work. Zip files have inside a cab, it will set SSContact as default contact app in right softkey. If you don't want it install RemoveSoftKey.cab and softreset the device or just extract file exe or see faqs how to change registry to remove it

ok I gave it a spin. My Device is a Cingular 8525 (US) running WM6 (Black 3.01).
The first thoughts:
1. Formating of Contacts. the app shows lastname firstname instead of lastname, first name.
2. I am not seeing all my contacts or its not listing all the contacts in alphabetical order.
3. When I select a contact with my finger or the stylus, nothing happens.
4. It seems that the app is pulling Company info in some instances and contact name in others..very weird.
Suggestions:
It would be cool if you could add/import pictures from the contacts

I think you have a good basis here just continue to work at it..good luck
- application is compiled for WM5 not tested on WM6 so i can't be sure all works properly there.
- Order is guaranteed by List Control and API of Windows CE so it's not my procedure but I'll check... be sure u don't have some space before names.
- Contacts, SMS and Phone are not enabled (it's only a test application not a complete application) so they can only be scrolled but u can't select them
- Yes it display company names when company name is present.
About suggestions :
- Pictures are too much heavy and it should make very slow scroll procedure and I Think they should be too much small to be really usefull.
- I'm not planning to add a filtering by categories at the moment, next step is add a Sort by Firstname and Sort by Lastname

1- i tried icontact before ,not working with me
2-SSCONTACT, when i tape the contact nothing happen
3- i see that the interface is good by showing the 2 icons of dialing&message beside the name but again nothing happen upon tapping any icon

I don't know... it's strange in your device not works iContact and also my app maybe u have some program have make some conflict with them... you should scroll with fingers... keyboard shouldn't stuck ...u can close it tap on OK button... icons and contact aren't enabled it's only a test application, it's the first time I have this report.

I think the most natural way to sort is outlook's "file as" since we already declare what we want to see as "file as"
I've already added sorting by first or last name at the moment tomorrow I'll post the new version, meanwhile if u found bugs on this report me

at the moment no. Some parts are more difficult than other but I'm new in ppc programming and first I've to learn to apply so it taking me much time.
It's great you opened up your own thread. I love to beta test new and developing apps. Even though my device is slower, I will still give comments on your app.
The app so far is running pretty smoothly. A bug I found is with the keyboard quick search feature. There is a person on my contact list named, let's say "Zack"...when I type Z it does not go to the name. This happens for a few other letters with the keyboard as well.
Will you implement phone numbers showing up for names under just Company?
Also, what are the letters on the left side of the screen suppose to do??
during Quick Search with Keyboard you don't see people in the bottom of list just because Keyboard cover them... but search work if u tap Ok you should see them selected , I have to think a solution for that. Company phone is already show but u have to set Business Phone for Company contacts.. Letters on left side can be touched with stylo... letter set focus in first item that start with that letter.

I see what your saying. But still, when im at the top of the list than type Z on the keyboard, the list still doesn't scroll down to focus on that contact.
The phone number for the company in my contacts is put in the "Company tel." spot. This app can't read the company tel?
The letters on the side of the screen are too small to have real functionality. They are too hard to tap.
Will this work on WM2003?
I have TyTN with WM6 so it's not working properly I hope you'll make it work on WM6 soon. I would like to see some feature I'm missing in both iContacts and your app could you make it neverending scrolling? I mean that when you go to the end of contacts (Z) and scroll down more it will take you to the beginning (A) and the same form beginning (A) to the end (Z)? I hope you'll understand what I mean

@freeyayo50, search doesn't work inside items but always from first char... the control in Windows Mobile can't search into substring... that's sad but i can't do nothing, so if your friend is called Zack and you don't remenber is Lastname i suggest to change order from Last First to First Last and perform search with new order, i've attached a new version.

Add links to the \Windows\Start folder.
Ok am I missing something or is there still no way to reverse the slide up and down and side to side? Its backwards from every other finger sliding program I have used and it just makes it feel wrong.

how can i access them?? i hope favorites can also support folders in the future version.. i kind of like the way PoinUI is right now (optional top bar, optional homescreen).. because i only want PointUI to be an Application Launcher of some sort and not a complete overall UI..
also, can the scroll function be reversed? i mean an option to do so? because i use FtouchFLO and TouchFLO for general OS and application navigation and it's scroll/finger swipe function is when you swipe up, list scrolls down.. and a swipe down does the opposite direction (list goes up)
it is a bit disorienting to have a different/reversed swipe/finger scroll direction in PointUI other that what the whole OS has..
besides those requests.. i'm enjoying the launcher 100%

This is pretty good. Have decided to give it a go now that you aren't stuck with that hideous blue!
Just one question - how do you go straight into Contacts to make a phone call. I have been using pocketcm which is great, but now have to go looking for it as an application, instead of just hitting the soft button.
Or am I missing something?
still no way of changing which email account to use from the main page i see (defaults to outlook/exchange) even though i've not got that set up at the moment and have done with the windows live mail
that and the backward touch scrolling is making it hard to use this program which does look really good.
it just needs its own email/sms reader and contacts just like its got with the recent calls list.

Same here... I have a Cingular 8125. Other then that I like it, its fast and it does not use as much memory as the previous version.

also, the phone hung up the call and froze...not sure if i dont know what to do or what, but the call detail is hard to get to(want to end call or something)

It is the KS20 directdraw drivers who are corrupt... not direct3d drivers !!

06:If hard reset doesn't fix it: Try deleting the TXT right after sending it / clear the outgoing box (by mradaml)

!!!IMPORTANT!!! - Follow these steps in order (post#187)
1nd: Flash Radio 1.59.42.23
Fixes:
-Sluggishness
-temporary frezes

2st: Hard Reset after flashing the rom

3rd: run advance configuration 3.3 (Thanks to schaps for the App) (Read post # 177)
-Choosing "Recomended" will solve most problems
-In doubt, run a search on the forum with <option name>, "Advanced configuration" and "Polaris" (should get an answer)
Note: For some reason, sometimes, performing a Hard Reset after Flashing a Rom/Radio will solve some problems. It doesn't hurt and it takes about 10 secs
Q: How do I Hard Reset? => Press simultaneously messenger and internet hardware buttons (the 2 lower front buttons on polaris) and, wile holding them, press and release the reset button on the bottom of your device with your stylus.
I have been using the R1 for the past 2 hours or so...
Apart from the mentioned issues by udK... I have not experienced anything major except for the occational freeze of the device (non-responsive). after a few seconds its back to normal.
Frankly, I have experienced this issue on all the ROMs that were using the 3D drivers.

You should press enlarge icon or Start->Today to redisplay the battery icon.

This occurs on all roms with the 3d driver. Syrius R0, Touch it m3d, opal
Which 3d driver? From what i have been told the 3d driver wasnt included in udks rom...
it's only software rendering, no hardware: dll from HTC.

I had the same issue with the Official WM6.0 and with WM 6.1 UDK r7.. so i think it's a WM issue...

2Second, haven't test that one.
3Got that too, all programs doesn't work after one use.
It's a nice ROM overall, especially with a lot of bugs fixed!

Have experienced the same behaviour!
And I also have the "r" bug in All People.
Found a small bug. When i download something in opera and i press the save button in the donwload pop up thingy. The phone goes to the today screen. I have to go back to opera and then click the download destination etc. It all works but i think it is not supposed to happen this way.
As i said it is just a small bug.
Other than this i haven't found anything new. It's an amazing rom. Really responsive and a pleasure to use.
My HTC E100 don't work with this rom. This is needfull for me.

Seems HTC E100 is not working on all manilla 2 ROM's. I hope somebody finds a solution for this since this makes the wired remote useless.
But I found a BIG problem. TomTom 6 is not running on this ROM. I have not seen this problem in any ROM before.
SensorScroll uses the HTC Touch Diamond/PRO Gesture Wheel to scroll up and down inside windows which allow scrolling (has a scroll bar). It can also emulate key pressing instead of scrolling.
It is in beta stage, please use carefully. All bug reports, fresh ideas and recommendations are welcome.
Instructions:
1. Install the application. It adds shortcut in Programs and in \Windows\Startup folders!
2. Right after installation you can run the application from Programs shortcut to start using it. There is no need for soft reset to have it running for the first time!
3. To use the application open a Window with a vertical scroll bar like Programs or File Explorer and try rotating the scroll sensor clockwise for scroll down and counter clockwise for scroll up. Don't forget to try the touch action too (double tap on the central button to switch on/off and touch the direction keys)
4. To fine tune the application behavior use the SensorScroll Settings application
5. Have fun!
6. To stop, run it again and you will have an option to stop it.
Notes:
Inside installation folder there is a file named no_process.txt. The file contains a list of process names which will not be affected by the application (or by SensorScroll Settings). It already has some entries like opera, teeter, etc.
The application is freeware (and will always stay free)
Known issues:
* Does not work with GScroll ! Both programs act like they have disabled each other.
Todo:
* Clear the source code and add some comments
* Open the source code if i consider it good enough to be open
Search for new ideas:
We can do something with the rest of the touch sensitive area. I'm collecting ideas. We can use single, double or triple click. Known limitation: you could track press and release coordinates, but cannot track finger movement (at least I don't know how). If you come with a good idea please share it and post a reply. Thanks. Works well so far. One early issue I noticed upon installing your .cab is my device freezes for no apparent reason. I am also running GScroll, may have something to do with that. I'll try disabling it and report back.

Confirmed.... Does not play nice nice w/GScroll. After disabbling GScroll it works great unfortunately I need GScroll so I can have the double tap functionality to bring up SecondToday
Randomly the program will stop working (not sure if it completely shuts down or if its actually running, but not working). Instead of scrolling the page, it will start to scroll by each item. For example, in the Program menu it will go from app to app.

How does this compare with the cabs already out? I mean does it work in EVERY app? I mean I use RRE's Smart Touch Wheel Scroll.cab, but I'll try this one and see if there is any difference.
Kraize - this works in far more applications. It's really an expansion because you can set it to leave the defaults in place that Diamond Tweaks puts in. The only problem appears to be that it turns off at some points. Not sure what is causing the behavior.

AT&T FUZE Touch Pro unstable
Awesome idea! Installed it on my 1 day old AT&T FUZE and crashed a few times and rebooted the phone once. Hopefully will be fixed soon. HAve the feeling AT&T touch flow 3D is causing the issue.

hello, is it possible for you to make a version wich moves LEFT <> RIGHT instead of UP <> DOWN ?

Real Bugs that need to be fixed in the next hd2-roms:
- calender wont go past 1.nov.2009 in week-view (monday set as first day of the week) fixed in 1.48
- g-sensor not working in titanium (no titanium landscape switch)
- notification LED doesn`t work
- connection to the internet without a timeout/break (gprs-disconnect timeframe should be larger)
- voice command does not work with a bluetooth headset
- volume of a stereo-bluetooth headset cannot be controlled. The device volume has no influence on the headset.
- storage card is called "storage card" instead of "speicherkarte" in the german rom (might cause problems installing apps)
- view music by recently added
- volume cant be adjusted during a call when in handfree mode (speaker on the back)
- overstearing speaker sound (back-speaker)
- purple center in pictures taken with the hd2-camera (htc is working on a hotfix)
- sporadic volume control failure in Music-tab/streaming-player fixed in 1.48
- audio-booster disabling itself after playing a song
- HTC Messaging takes all SMS's and stops them from being published on the "notification queue" that other programs can listen to
- Sms not being sent/delivered (can't confirm that, works for me)
Minor Flaws that should be fixed in the next hd2-roms:
- 3g-button missing in comm-manager
- geotag (camera) is implemented but deactivated
- taskmanager quickmenu missing
- taskmanager icon missing in list (to assign quick button in sense-homepage)

Just looking at your first selection, these are not bugs!
Just because something isn't as you'd want it, doesn't make it a bug. A feature that you want but wasn't advertised as a feature and isn 't a feature is not a bug. Maybe the fact that it doesn't make my coffee is a bug??
Seriously, there are a handful of ACTUAL bugs, let's not go diluting things with this random nonsense.

The htc sense bug for calendar can be fixed!
Found it on the o2 forums and if you change the layout to week starting on sunday then the problem is fixed. Also this is just a temporary fix also i do hate week starting sunday but it is solved by it!
A lot of these things can be changed using the tips/tweaks here
And a missing feature is NOT a bug. The calender issue is a bug. The Geotag camera not being implemented isn't a bug. It can be activated very easily in the registry.
I suggest you read the above thread, and then amend your post.
I found that I didn't need the Owner Information fix. It is now stored in your Contact card in Contacts. All of my Resco stuff is reading that fine.
Thanks to post issues that can help our cookers to cook a nice ROM for our device in order to be more accurate.

I'm a HD user... Just want to know that how does the HTC messaging work on the HD2?
When ported to HD, the program is very bugy as if you trying to restore about 300 msgs or more, the program will become very irresponsive and will take a long time to load and display the existing msgs everytime you open it up..
With long msg, the text will overlap with the date. Not sure if this is the case on HD2 as well. It could be a bug of the HTC messaging, or it could be that our HD is too slow to run it.. need you HD2 owners to conform that for me.

There's a nice default text selection tool included on the HTC HD2, an HTC Sense feature rather than a Windows Mobile one, which we've video demoed recently. It allows you to tap and hold on a text and bring up an adjustable selection box that you can spread to encompass the desired text.
You can further expand both the functionality and the eye candy of this feature by enabling the magnifier. To do that, edit your registry HKLM\Software\HTC\TextSelection\EnableMagnifier and change its value from 0 to 1. You'll get a nice magnified preview of a portion of the text allowing you to select text more easiliy. Wonder why HTC had that disabled out of the box?

On my HD, the media player in sense 2.5 can't even finish a song... I had no problem with WMP tho

Totally agree! I want this future "perfect" rom!
I guess I'm lucky not to have had any music player problems? I've been using my HD2 to play my music in the car and while studying at uni. What type of crashes do people experience?
Bug in sense SMS writer
When reading / replying SMS in sense ui, there's no close button, nor ok button. Need to hit hardware key "home" to get back to "today screen".

+1 for sporadic volume control failure in Music-tab/streaming-player (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=584242), and for the Audio Booster disabling itself.
I have some trouble with the HTC keyboard using some textfields in Opera. Sometimes, e.g. saving favorits, i cant type big letters in the titlebar. I tab on the caps-button to enlarge the first letter of the page name. But if i tab the letter on the Keyboard, my HD2 wrote the small one...
I encountered the same problem in some textfields like post replays in some forums. It seems its a problem with the T9 suggestion, but if i change it to ABC, the Bug doesnt disapear.
