C'mon...everyone else has one! I'd like to unlock my extended ROM, then run the DOC tool to make my available ROM larger. (Not to mention get rid of all the crap sprint has bundled onto this device!) Anyone??????????

SUCCESS.....mostly.
I do get the "success" message. I can write to the extended ROM. I can copy application folders to it. I can create shortcuts to those apps and run them.
I can NOT see it in any file explorer other than Total Commander, where it has to be typed in. It does not otherwise show up. It does not show up in memory setting. Therefore I have no idea how big it is. I can NOT install applications directly to the extended ROM. I can only copy/move their files/folders to it.
So....it's a pretty damn good start....Good going Buzz.
Anything else I can try to make it more visible?

maybe it will also work for my Wizard 100 ?? I am unable to erase or write any files with the current unlocker for the Wizard. Can you pm me the file so i can test it for you ?

The Wizard Extended ROM unlocker .cab works on the Apache.
I now have 9.54mb of additional storage available. It is completely unlocked and visible.

Ok, I downgraded to this Rom. Why did the SPL not change. Everything else changed except the SPL version.
If anyone has a quick reason as to why I would greatly appreciate it. Still digging.

If you are following this post (every single step, line for line):http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=285435
You will read in there that its very common that only your IPL will change. After you do lokiwiz, then you downgrade again to get your SPL to change. If you look at the last few pages of that post you will also see where others had issues getting their SPL to change (but you have to get that done before you go back to a 2.xx rom). The ones that had issues, just continued trying to downgrade and for some reason after 8 or so tries it worked (but this seems to be an exception and not the norm).
Then remember to move back to a 2.xx official rom before going to WM6 or whatever.

I've been doing some reading on flashing to a new ROM and am thinking of doing this (probably Dutty's ROM), however is it necessary to unlock the phone to do this?
From what I can gather the HSPL removes any branding, but would be grateful if someone could confirm this.
I'm a bit anxious about flashing the ROM from experience with a PC. I realise that if you get things wrong it can brick the device...

any updates on this please? i am adding this device to my growing HTC repatoire but it seems no development is going on in here at all! any updates on the PM's sent to olinex about this.......... hope something done soon as this is a very capable device!
I think a goldcard could solve the problem about how to flash a new rom.
But this method is not a easy available hardspl.

OliNex doesn't have PM enabled... you can try PM'ing me... donations would also help so we can buy a test device

I can create goldcard for the rose, if anyone needs it, but that will only allow HTC ROMs

Yes,maybe this would be limited to the official rom.
I found Qmat could make Goldcard for rose.
But this funtion need a registered version(cost 20eur). A registered soft could many Goldcard for different HTC model.

1) I can give goldcard cheaper than that if you PM me
2) yes only official ROM
3) qmat doesn't generate an unlimited number of goldcards
