My SHIFT has this weird problem when it comes out of suspension mod. The screen goes black and it has this Matrix looking screen come up. There are green lines running vertically down on the screen.

G1 touch screen is off

Every once in a while, the touch screen area at the bottom of the screen by the menu bottom is non reactive. for example when i touch n on the vk, it looks as if im touching h. Is anyone else going through this as well?
just recently my touch screen has problem. when i try to switch screen using touch screen, the screen get stuck half way and shaking. and every time the problem occur, i can't make a selection using touch screen. if i select an icon on the top row, an icon on the bottom row is selected instead.
I've had a few issues lie the two above. I'm not quite sure if it's a hardware of software issue, but resetting the device always seems to work just fine. It's not the best solution, but its better than nothing.
have you tried the VK caliberation tool?

Wizard white screen

Hi,
when my wizard is in portrait mode the screen goes totally white.
when I slide it a little bit(towards landscape mode) the picture comes back, but if I slide it again towards portrait mode it goes white again.
I tried soft/hard reset and it is still the same.
in bootloader screen it is the same: when the screen is closed(meaning all the way towards portrait) the screen is white and when I slide it a little bit the 3 color screen appears...
b.t.w I don't think it has to do something with the rom cause every thing was alright till recently
Does any one know what I need to do?
Thanks
Alon
Please anyone...it's getting worse.
now I can only see the screen somewhere in the middle between portrait and landscape mode...
I went to the store and the guy said he thinks it's the flat cable...is it expensive?is it hard to fix it alone?
I agree that it is probably the ribbon/flat cable (called an FPC cable in the guide below), but I don't really know anything about disassembling the phone/fixing it.
This post has links to a disassembly/reassembly guide which may or may not help:

anyone have the touch screen alignment problem or it's just me?

try to download "multi touch paint" from the market.
draw a line across near the bottom of the screen. you'll find it always below where u touch, compare to a line draw across the top of the screen.

Yup seems to be your the only odd-ball, just kidding i couldnt draw the thing either haha.
I get exactly the same behaviour when I draw a line right over the touch-buttons and when I do the same at the very top edge of the screen, can't see anything that looks misaligned.
I have that issue,too.
That happen most likely when I turn my phone side way and try to access the bottom icon on the home screen. The touch screen has 30% chance to be out of alignment.
the line i draw just slightly below where i touch, that is around 2mm, sleep/reboot won't fix it.
