ROM's, hard-spl and languages - Wing, P4350 General

Guys,
I have spend the last days in gathering info about the latest ROM's and maybe you can answer some questions for me.
I have a Herald (A Dutch P4350) from Vodafone.
After I got it, I immidiately upgraded the Herald to WM6.0 Dutch and added some nice goodies to make it look like a Touch.
No complaints, everything worked flawless.
This weekend I thought it was time for something new so the first thing I did was to hard-SPL the 4350 and to try some of the latest ROM's.
Right now I am using the Open Touch v3.0 SlimLine WM6.1 ROM with Duprade's keyboard fix.
Here again, no problems at all and although English is perfect for me I would love to switch back to a Dutch WM6.0 (or better 6.1) cooked ROM.
So my questions are...
Can I, although the thing is hard'spl'ed, use the official HTC RUU tool to downgrade it back to WM6.0 Dutch (plus some extra addons) ???
Is it possible, and I search and read and search the forum for hours (who likes to be called a n00b ), to "adjust" one of the home cooked ROM's into Dutch or any other language ???
Respect to all the guys who have spend hours, days, months in cooking these great ROM's

I was able to install the original ROM (HTC WM6 Dutch) over the hard-spl'ed Herald. The trick was to delete the included SPL.nbh first.
All is working fine now... in Dutch but.
Checking the memory I have just 17 Mb free from a total of 31 Mb
What happened with the rest of the memory ?
Anyone who can answer this for me ?

3rd party ROMs usually have a lot more free memory. Also your pagepool is probably set to 12mb.
Technically... I could expand my kitchen with different translations... but it's a lot of work and as it is, my time is very limited... How big of a demand is there for a translated kitchen?

I think there is a fast demand for translated (Dutch) kitches because almost every model of HTC is very populair here in Holland and there is, as far as I know, no cook for Dutch kitchens.

I'd say a spanish kitchen would be awesome... but i'm afraid i would be one in a very few.
You don't usually see lots of spanish-talking people in the wing-herald section. Anyone interested?
PS: i won't mind at all helping with that kitchen

It would be wonderful if there would come a dutch version for p4350!

Why change ROM?

Hi im a newbie to this. I can see people talking about new ROM and stuff. Why would you change the ROM? what does it do? Is it because og language problems? Considering byeing the O2 xda orbit from Germany. Do I need to change any software gettin it to Denmark? Do I need to change the ROM? Cheers
The two main reasons you would want to change roms are:
1) To get a rom in your local language so that all the menus and keyboards are localized
2) Some roms are better than others: more stable (fewer hangs), faster, and fewer glitches.
However, it is sometimes difficult to get good comparative information unless someone spends time using the different roms and/or does some benchmark tests and shares their experience on forums like this.
For the Aretmis there are a number of different roms but we still don't have much info on their relative merits.
Is there a Danish ROM edition?
If I buy the O2 XDA orbit in germany, what ROM should I use to convert it to Danish P3300 standard. I can see only Norweigan and Swedish ROM editions. What is the danish? Is it easy to reconfigure? Is it freeware?
Thanks
I don't know if there is a Danish rom floating around. Generally, if you do not find the rom at the xda ftp site it probably hasn't been shared on the internet.
Changing rom means you would have to unlock your device (imei-unlock) which at present can only be done by paying some 30 euros. Search for imei-unlock within the Artemis forum. Once you unlock it you can change rom. You can also find the procedure in this forum. The overall procedure is not difficult but you should be aware that you will be voiding any warranties.
The easiest solution I would think is to buy a Danish HTC P3300 (unless they have not come out with a local version).
o2 rom
I recently purchased a tytn II from Great Britian and it has O2 rom. I didnt know that o2 rom does not allow htcs rom with the htc interfaces and operating applications to be used. I dont like this at all i want the tytn II as seen and advertised. Is there any way to do this? an un branded rom that I can Run with T-mobile without brickin the phone cuz if not I will be selling it and headed for a touch HD

Seeking advice! Japanese Softbank X01HT, WM5 --> WM6. Japanese input is a must.

I currently live in Japan and own a Hermes Softbank X01HT.
Rom Version: 1.33.761.5
Rom Date: 11/10/2006
Radio Version: 1.14.01.10
Protocol Version: 32.50.7018.00H
I bought it in August, and was disappointed with the sluggishness of WM5 from the very beginning. I spent weeks trying to find a Japanese WM6 rom, but only the various European ones had been released so I decided to wait a while. I recently noticed that the newer model is out over here (the Toshiba X01T I think) and it has WM6 on it, so I thought that maybe Softbank had released an upgrade for current X01HT owners. Obviously not the case.
So I spent hours yesterday and today searching through 100s of pages of forum posts, trying to take in all the information I could before posting. From what I have read, the best ROMs available seem to be the cooked ones, and interest me most because of comments like "this ROM is really fast!!" However, they are always based on the English, or some other non-japanese rom. Japanese input is a must for me, so I cant just switch to an english rom and call it day. I can read Japanese, so I dont necessarily need the OS in english, but as a native english speaker, I wouldnt mind. It seems I have 2 options.
1. Stick with the lame WM5, and install the english MUI by Asukal. This gives me english menu, folders, etc, but doesnt solve the issue of having a sluggish OS. So this isnt really a fix for me at all.
2. Upgrade to a cooked english Rom (such as the really nice looking Schaps_WM6Pro_Hermes_4.30_WWE_Full.exe) and then try to get the LetsJapan06 and IME31J_QVGA by Asukal working. (It seems that in doing that, I lose the ability to write in kanji characters on the touchscreen, which is a huge loss for me, but I guess I could give it up if it meant I could have a much faster WM6 running on my phone)
My biggest concern with switching to the cooked rom, besides the obvious warranty voiding, is the ability to re-setup the settings (account and connection) with Softbank. All I could find in my forum searching were things about some prepaid softbank thing you could setup. I have a 2 year contract with softbank, so i cant just switch to some other plan. Is this what the LetsJapan06 takes care of?
I am hoping someone can give me a detailed (or at least to the point) response on what my options actually are. Am I screwed in dealing with a lame WM5 for the next year and half? Or can I actually upgrade to a nice ROM, official or cooked, and still have Japanese input and no issues with my Softbank account/connection.
I hope that in getting some helpful responses, this post will give some answers to others out there like me who have spent hours reading through posts about the great european cooked roms, but cant seem to find much information on japanese (asian) versions. Maybe there are Japanese sites out there like this one, with cooked roms based on the Japanese OS rom, but hey, my Japanese isnt that good!
Thanks to all who actually spent the time reading this massive post. I'll be checking back frequently.

Please take a look http://www.timespace21.com
Free Japanese Input
Try this, works fine for me. And it is free.
http://ookii.org/software/japaneseinput/
Thanks for the info on Japanese Input systems. I personally use EBPocket on my phone, but im sure the Japanese Input software is compatible with it just as with Pocket Dictionary. (Anyone have any opinions about whether "Japanese Input" is better/worse than Asukal's IME?)
Hopefully someone can still address my bigger concerns. Am I going to have problems connecting to the Softbank service if I switch to an English Rom? If so, does Asukal's "LetsJapan06" fix this? I have read that it "localizes" the OS, but I didnt come across many details as to what that actually means.
There aren't many Japanese ROMs available, at least on this site, so switching back to WM5 could be a bit difficult. Upgrading to WM6 is almost a one way street, so I dont want to attempt it until I am absolutely sure I wont have any issues connecting to the softbank service.
This is for you.

I see light at the end of the tunnel!
That may just be the answer to my prayers!
I've downloaded the exe, but havent had time to mess with it yet. The download from the rapidshare server took a really long time. I did search around a bit to see if there was a newer version than the 4.00 roms(a japanese version of the newest 4.30 roms) but i didnt come across one.
If i install the bootloader, and then the ROM, my phone should work fine with the softbank service correct? no need for letsjapan06 or any japanese input system.
I still have to download and install the bootloader, which apparently may involve some SIM and/or CID (or some acronym(s) i cant remember at the moment) unlocking. I will need to look through the hermes wiki again.
As for the radio version, it seems like most people running the japanese rom are still using 1.14.01.10. Is there a reason for this? Why not run the newer radio versions?
coolboyboy, are you personally using this rom, that you can give me an opinion on it? Or were you just nice enough to find that for me? (if so, is there someone out there who can give me an opinion on it?)
yes, I am currently using this rom, anything is configured for Softbank. you can read the following pages to get more idea how to upgrade it. Please remember to install the IPL V7 first and super CID your device.

im using schaps 4.30 rom and have no problem inputing kanji from the touchscreen.
Have you set your keyboard to japanese in the advanced configuration?
do that and use Asukal Lets Japan No,5 and Ask IME_31J
I hate to be persistent, but I still owe about $500 on my phone. Cant afford a brick
To HungryHippo:
I am still running the original (Japanese) factory WM5 Rom, so I cant really answer your question about changing my keyboard. However, Ive just mainly been worried about having problems connecting to Softbank when running an English ROM, because I saw all the posts about the flat-rate plan for softbank. I figured that there must be some kinda problems after flashing a cooked Rom. However, I see that you are located in Osaka and are running the 4.3 schaps English Rom, so I guess there are no problems? Or are there problems initially, and thats what LetsJapan05/06 is for?
To coolboyboy (or HungryHippo or anyone else who knows the answer):
You said "anything is configured for softbank" Do you mean that even the hermes running on a a non-Japanese Rom connects up with softbank without any problems or add-ons right from the start?
almost everything you need to know (from my own experience)
Mate I have been using WM6 (various cooked versions, all in English) since a week after I originally got my Softbank (Post-April) phone. I am living in Japan and have it configured for Japanese input, MMS, etc, and all works well.
First flash your favorite rom. What I did was to get the original Japanese wm5 rom from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=285183
Then unpack it with winrar or something (using windows xp) and rename the rom file (or move it somewhere else). replace it with your favorite wm6 rom (rom only, not radio!) and flash your device. make sure you have activesync installed first and your device is connected.
Now install the following to make give you Japanese input/localisation/keyboard mapping/softbank connection etc.
Note: all of the following get installed on your device, not on external memory.
get hold of: IME_311_QVGA: http://asukal.net/blog/?p=96
(to give you Japanese input, including writing on the screen)
and LetsJapanNo6: http://asukal.net/blog/?p=364 (which localizes your pda to Japan).
Install both of these and soft-reset.
As for softbank internet settings, go to this page:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=298031&highlight=softbank+connection
Follow the instructions and install.
For MMS: get mmslite775 (post 31) from the following link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=325285&page=4
Note before installing MMSlite, get rid of anything arcsoft from the registry (using the hopefully built in registry editor of your new wm6 rom).
Kill the following key: hkey_local_machine/software/arcsoft
THEN install msslite.
For keyboard, go here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=315998&highlight=softbank
There you go man! All should work. Now, I take no responsibility for the above, and of course invite you to do some reading, especially on the rom flashing part. Note, you can't unlock your X01ht, so don't even bother! You will just "brick" it.
P.S I am currently using the excellent K's Rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=350695
samurai-me san's cooked roms are awesome and fast and also contain numerous Japanese carrier related apps that you may need being in Japan. I'm currently using Shogun Climax V3... no worries either about mapping keyboards or installing language packs or mms apps etc.

In terms of softbank internet settings, I suggest HTC network wizard. I am using it and very satified.
If you need only MMS, you do not need to install HTC network wizard or something like that.
MMS lite has its own softbank connection settings.
Yeah, except those are the old settings and you can't access the "all you can eat internet" softbank package with them. (supposing you sign up for it). Of course, you can still use the settings I linked to for normal access as well... Anyway, it is probably better to avoid using old settings if possible.

This is the way to go!
I started with Asukal's Japanese to English but not all the features of the phone were working. What I really needed was an english phone with support for Japanese text and still connect to the softbank system and its' features.
After having my phone for only 3 days, I nervously took a chance to the point of no return. I then loaded Schap's 4.30 plus the ROM patch. Total English phone. Not returning was fine by me with all the features of Schap's 4.30. Only problems were the problem, video and MMS issues with Softbank. 3GPandorablackdailpad solved the video issue.(waiting for Schap's patch for this bug)
For all the features of my X01HT to work completely this is what I added.
--Lets Japan No5
--Ask IME 31J
--MMSlite
--Transcribe Build 17743 (Sweeeeeet)
All this by reading the posts, losing a lil sleep and seriously test all the features of my phone to make sure things worked.
Everything is working and loaded without noooo problems.
btw, make sure you put you keyboard layout to english. If the layout is in Japanese or else when you go to advanced settings or other system files it will appear in Japanese text.
Xbow ROM for X01HT?
I am living in London and have installed the Xbow WM6.1 ROM in Japanese onto an X01HT for a Japanese friend here, and it seems to be working pretty well. I am curious why noone seemed to mention it in this thread, and am wondering if anyone has compared it to Japanese WM6.1 ROM Samurai-CLIMAX by Samurai-me mentioned here. More info on Xbow here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=302785.
In the meantime, I am going to read this thread to see how I can get Japanese input on my Athena so that I can use EBPocket.
Need original WM5 Japanese Version
S O S
Hi, all
My Hermes' touch screen is dead. I returned it to softbank to get it fixed, but it was sent back to me from the manufacturer. The manufacturer report says that it is because I changed the ROM. Yes I did. You can read part of history of ROMs I ever tried.
Now, I need to reinstall the original WM5 Japanese version as I got it for the first time. I tried to find the ROM in the CD but there is nothing except ms office.
Does anyone have WM5 Japanese version, so I can download it and install it to my hermes?
I heard it that I have to modified the nbh file since I installed HardSPL already? How to modify nbh file?
Thanks in advance..

UK O2 ROM - How many people switched to a cooked one?

Guys, just wondering, I can't find anything conclusive over how many people have actually moved away from the UK O2 ROM to a cooked one. Can anyone who has made the jump tell me if there was a noticeable difference and what ROM you used. Also, were they functional for everyday use?
I will be moving to a cooked ROM later, but for the time being I have gone from the o2 rom to the HTC one on the FTP.
I'm happier with it. All the HTC stuff that o2 seem to uninstall (because they are losers) is there without any need to install it all yourself.
I can't see any reason to change as yet unless there is a good cooked rom a la meschle's Touch 4.0.
Likewise, I'll be moving to a cooked rom, but am waiting for someone to make the leap first!
Any reports (successful or otherwise) will be great!
Hey guys
I've been running Bepe's 6.1 preview for the last week. To be honest, the only improvement is the threaded messaging.
I found the o2 rom quite good, but if there's something to flash I'll always give it a go. By the time you've added all your own apps it really doesn't make a huge difference.
App wise I'm running:
Vistahide battery gauge
Samsung time
o2 plus2.3 - with shortcuts & diary enabled
Spb pocket suite
Not that that has anything to do with the rom!?!
Has anyone over here tried upgrading the radio to 1.58.25.14?
Jamie
I'm still on the o2 rom, with:
PocketRAR
ClearTemp
Schap's Advanced Configuration Tool
HTC Home plugin
Home Customizer
WkTask (I really like the battery meeter along the top and the task buttons)
Until a stable WinMo 6.1 rom comes out with everything I'll stick with the o2 rom.
Why they removed the HTC home I'll never know

Me, but have not noticed any difference.
I think we should start a campaign to get meschle to defect to polaris. I have already donated to towards this campaign. We would need to set up a new thread and link it to the artemis wm6 thread.
The biggest problem with the O2 ROM is that tweaks don't work. You can change a registry value and after a soft-reset it will go back to the original value. Annoying!
That's why I use that tweaking tool, it actually sets the values. Although it's not as exansive as a registry
i'm in the US using a UK Orbit 2 and i've been running the .53 version of bepe's WM 6.1 ROM. aside from the improved responsiveness and threaded messaging, you start out with 140MB of available storage and 69MB of available RAM. with all my programs loaded, i have 85 MB available, which is important to me. with the stock ROM, i started off with 89MB available before loading my standard set of apps. i've held off using newer versions because i'm happy with what i have and how it's working so far.

What tweaking tool? The Kaiser one? I thought that messed peoples device up.
Don't see why I would want to flash for the time being.
To me, flashing a rom is so that I don't need to spend so much time configuring the device (because everything is pre-configured in cooked roms). And as there ain't many changes to the current cooked roms, it is quicker to configure the device than to mess with flashing.

You'll never find the best ROM suited to your specific taste unless you try 'em all. Me? i'm totally sold out with Panosha's Butterfly ROM but at the moment am testing Bepe's v0.56 Full, and so far, liking it too! Cooked ROM's are always way faster and more responsive than the shipped one's.

Solved: Greek keyboard and contact manager

Hello to everybody. First post from me in this great community.
First, I'm gonna start by telling you my initial problem. I've always been buying some second hand HTCs from ebay. I've already owned an XDA II, XDA IIi, Qtek S200 and recently a Qtek P3300, with various brand names. My problem was always, to have a greek keyboard that could handle 160 characters in SMSs and a greek contact manager that I could search easily scrolling the greek letters. Until now, I somehow was able to find a cracked or cooked greek ROM and use it without any problem. Until I bought the P3300. Most of you out there should know by now that there is an official A_C_E Hellas greek translation extROM which, if you load it in your "non Greek" P3300, it will lock it down. I've been trying to crack the protection which finally understood who it works (with the great help of andrew_sh, thanks a lot man, I changed my username if you still wonder who I am), but for some reason which I don't know, it doesn't work for the P3300. So, I finally gave up trying, for the only reason that I DIDN'T want to translate the ROM (English is more than good for me), just the 2 things I mentioned in the opening. So, I focused in these 2 and here comes the result.
There are 2 different cabs. The first is the original A_C_E Hellas greek keyboard, with registry tweaks that provides 160 greek characters support for SMSs, both for Windows mobile 5 and 6. It's been tested in 2 different HTC models and works like a charm. It SHOULD work for any Mobile 5 and 6 OFFICIAL ROM. The second cab, just translates the phone part to Greek, with the ease to scroll down Greek letters while searching for a contact. This too has been tested on 2 different OFFICIAL HTC ROMS and it does work. It should NOT work on cooked ROMS, so try it in your own responsibility. I know some alternatives have been posted by minotavr, by using resco keyboard pro with greek characters file and PocketCm Contact Manager, but it didn't satisfy me in any way.
So, I'm posting the cabs and I'm waiting for your tests and results. I'm emphasizing that they should be used with OFFICIAL WWE ROMS and with Regional settings set to Greek. I would prefer if we keep this tread in English, just for respect for this great community.

Appreciate your work man, i was looking for something like that for quite a while! I'll try it and I'll give some feedback, as soon as my phone unfreezes after the deistallation of "Sam Greek Leng.cab" file...
I'm waiting for anyone's feedback. I'm really curious in which HTC models will work.
Thanx in advance.
It works like a charm on HTC P3300.
But it surely needs updating. I use resco keyboard because it has large buttons, so i can easily and fast, write my text message.
Greece forever
Thank you synzeus for the feedback. I too tried the resco keyboard, but with the normal keyboard layout and thought it had a few bugs, so I didn't like it. Also I tried resco and other commercial and free keyboards with different layouts, but I guess I got used with the normal layout and feel, of the original one, so I was not satisfied with any of them. I know a lot of people that are satisfied with alternative keyboards, so this keyboard cab is intented for those who want a greek one, similar to the english one. But thank you anyway for the try. I'm waiting for feedback from anyone about the greek contact manager, especially in official WWE ROMs of other HTC products. Already tested with success in a Hermes.
Yeah.I forgot to say that the contact manager works too.
Keep up the good work.
Hey man nice job...
Working fine on my HTC Hermes too.
Keep up the good work and make this play with cooked roms too....
Problem in Qtek S200
After installing MarkoDiMarko_Gr_CM.cab on an HTC S200, device hungs up while booting. OS is WM6.1 Prophet Touch.
Any sugestions?
Sorry friend, I have already mentioned that it should work only in official WWE ROMs. There are dozens of cooked ROMs for various models out there and everyone integrates in them whatever application they want, including third party contact managers. So, replacing a cooked ROM's contact manager wouldn't be the easiest thing to do and unfortunately I don't have the time to try. The way for me right now is sticking to official ROMs, I'm done with cooked ones (and their bugs).
Oh, and one more thing. Now that you mentioned S200, I have to point out that after badly damaging my Artemis, I turned again to my old but extremely trustworthy S200 which works with the patched Greek ROM provided by andrew_sh, which works like a charm. So if you don't mind using mobile 5.0, this is another way to go.
Take care.
OK, it's ok with me, but how could I uninstall this keyboard or install another rom? As I mentioned in my first post, device does not boot so it cannot be connect to ActiveSync.
Your help would be most appreciated.
PM sent.
Good luck.
Dear Friend,
I want to tell you that I just upgrade my phone (Htc P3650 -Touch Cruise - Polaris 100) with the latest official wm 6.1 rom (HTC Touch Cruise-RUU_Polaris_HTC_WWE_3.13.405.0_radio_sign_25.85.30.07_1.59.42.15_Ship) and I install your MarkoDiMarko_Gr_CM.cab
The phone doesn’t work and I take the message "A problem has occurred with cprog.exe"
The contacts menu does not open and I can't make any call.
Thank ’s
At past exactly 14-01-2006, I had try hard, to Localized contacts alphabetical index without any result.
I encourage you to continue to try for that result.
This is the most usefull thing for Greeks.
Hello g_dinos.
Sorry for the bad experience with your attempt. But the truth is that the 2 cabs are provided "as is" with no guarantee. You just try it and if it works, we are all happy. We had previous successful attempts into some other models, but I guess you were not so lucky. I'm assuming you have set the regional settings to Greek, right?
Anyway, what I can do for you is this. If there is an official A_C_E Hellas greek update for this specific ROM and you have it, you can send it to me and try to extract/compile the greek CM cab for you.
Take care.
Greek Contact Manager for every official HTC model!
Well, after a while, it's now tested ant it works.
Greek Contact Manager for every official HTC model!
After g_dinos bad experience with my file, he sent me the touch cruise greek update and I built a new cab for his HTC. But before I managed to sent it, he already built his own, based on my cab and tested it with success. By the way, mine works too
Anyway, g_dinos prooved that a greek contact manager cab can be made easily for various HTC models. So, he should have the honour to post the file and instructions (if he wants). Thanx again friend.
Keep up the good work greek guys out there Have fun translating.
MarkoDiMarko your answers was so instant and you was so helpfully !!!
I confirm that your two cabs works fine at my phone (Htc P3650 -Touch Cruise - Polaris 100) with the original rom (HTC Touch Cruise-RUU_Polaris_HTC_WWE_3.13.405.0_radio_sign_25.85.30.07_1.59.42.15_Ship).
I want to give you a big thank you for your help!
No more need to buy phones from ACE-Hellas only for Greek Localized contacts alphabetical index !!!
Greek Contact Manager for Polaris
To get things a little straight.
MarkoDiMarko_Gr_Keyboard.cab should work on official WM 5.0, 6.0 (edit: NOT 6.1)
MarkoDiMarko_Gr_CM.cab should work on official WM 6.0 .
MarkoDiMarko_Gr_CM-WM6.1 should work on official WM 6.1 .
The last one was tested by g_dinos today on Polaris. (thanx again)
Have fun.
HTC touch cruise (Polaris)... OK
GREAT JOB my friend GREAT JOB.
Now i have to LEARN GREEK TOO...HA HA HA
Gr_Keyboard for wm6.1???
If someone could help, a_c_e has released 6.1 version for polaris... someone could extract the keyboard?
Is there anything for M-Amine 2.0 ?
I have put this cooked rom in my Ace-Hellas Touch Cruise and all that is missing is a greek keyboard and a Greel contact manager.
Thanks in advance.
XAPHS
used with ROM "Artemis Touch 4.02 Full with 4 sided cube"
As mentioned by MarcoDiMarco, it does NOT work with cooked roms, that is why I am stucked with my brick now! It freezes while bootloading and cannot even bring it to activesync to flash a new rom.
As with the previous user (s_panos), any help will do.
best regards
P.S. Should have been more carefully, me malakas!
However, it worked fine with "HTC_P3300_WWE_3.13.405.1_4.1.13.44_02.94.90_Ship_R"

Hidden G-sensor

I was over at the Mega forum http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=577224 and now wonder if Iolite has a "hidden" G-sensor aswell?
Was trying, he hasn´t a hidden G-sensor.
I thought so too....but it got me doubting because you find a registry entry in the Roms of Billabongstaff.....
Anyway bad luck......
Was found this entry, was changed, restarted - no effects.
I mean, that a lot of entrys in registry are nonsens, but who will clean it ?
Greetings!
Well it was worth the shot, thanks for sharing.
2 years ago I made some 6.1-ROMs for the HTC Wizard. A clean registry and a clean windows-folder will made the ROM fast and stable. I had the fastest german 6.1-ROM for the Wizard. But I haven´t a working german 6.5-kitchen for the Iolite so I can´t cook something. In another forum (a german) I would make a "Joint Venture" - project - cook a ROM together, but it was the shoot in the oven. 24 Downloads of my kitchen - feedback = nothing.
Now my kitchen is cold...
Greetings!
Hello Mirko, don't get discouraged by this experience.....there will be enough fans in this forum for a good Rom.....
But the Rom's need to be in Dutch or English as far as I am concerned and they could even be in WM6.5.3 version.....
By the way nothing but good words about Bruno's Rom.......but I have 2 Touch Cruises at this moment so I can play around a bit.....
mirko.prinz: Actually, I tried to optimize (delete unneeded files and registries) and customize my own ROM (including cursors and graphics) and it took me really lot of time. However it is only WM 6.1 21054 version as I do not like WM 6.5 and it is still not fully completed. I simply need my phone for everyday use and I have no spare time to play with it.
