TomTom in htc touch dual - Touch Dual, MDA Touch Plus General

Hello every body,
Can anyone know if TomTom is ok in htc touch dual?
If yes, can anyone give me a link, were i can download it, and recent map of europe?
best regards

I have TomTom 6 Navigator running fine on my Touch Dual, using a Qstarz BT318 external GPS. There were no problems during installation. Although it is a little awkward having to carry the external GPS, at least it has its own 1100 mAh battery so both devices last a long time in GPS mode.
I couldn't find the TomTom software available to download anywhere (legally). I bought the DVD from this company: http://www.digital-fusion.co.uk/
Item: 1T90.015
Quantity: 1
Product: Tomtom Navigator 6 Software + Maps Of Western Europe Dvd Unit Price: GBP 60.81 (Excl. VAT)
Very impressed by the TomTom software - even with a 2.6" picture, the 3D view is very usable whilst driving.

Thank you very much

if you want to be "naughty" then searching will get you where you want. We can't provide links here I don't think, but all the usual torrenting sites have it.
My (bought) copy, weirdly, boots up when I switch my phone on - it's not in the startup but it does anyway. Perhaps cause I took the shortcut off my home screen?
Also, one thing to be aware of - if your phone is in vibrate mode, and you start Tom Tom, when you have finished & later set your phone to non-vibrate, you'll find it's muted your ringer volume. I missed loads of calls before I realised what the culprit was.
Other than that it works fine on my touch dual, with a similar GPS antenna (incidentally, just posted elsewhere that my battery on my antenna just lasted since Sunday afternoon (it's not Thurs eve) since I didn't realise I'd left it on. A bit astonished at the battery life of the thing!!!
Garmin XT also gets good reviews, some claim it's better.

no problems here w the tom tom.
just take into account the mute fact.
anyway the external gps takes longer than other devices to work fine. the com ports are more complicated than i thought. but nothing u cant solve in a day or two.
i cant put a shortcut in my homescreen. anybody knows how to?
thanks

shortcut: look in your today screen items - it's in there.. or should be... in fact it should've appeared by default
em, i found the ext gps easy... just use "other"... NMEA... I think.. took 5 mins to work out.
let me know if you have probs, i can check out the settings used

i know but its doenst appear,
anyway its not a big deal. plus, i guess its a version problem.
and... talking about the ext gps, i guess the prob doenst come from tom tom but the pda. i took me time to figure out the com port number to paired the device.
i have it as com 7, com 4, 4800, check gps automatic.
btw, i didnt use other nmea because i have a bt gps receiver.
i forgot what com port i choose at tomtom.
but no need for that when i connected it thru google maps.
dont know. just works.
thank you for your help.

Tomtom not visible when receiving call
I used to have a HTC 8310 smartphone (Mobile 5 and Tomtom 5.20). The good thing was, that when Tomtom was working and I then received a call on thr 8310, I would see the Tomtom screen again after a few seconds while continuing talking. Only the Tomtom voice would de-activate while speaking to the other person. That was excellent, because I could still see where I was supposed to be driving while speaking to another person on the phone at the same time!
I now have a NIKI 100 (Mobile 6.1 and Tomtom 6) and I find that the Tomtom screen does not re-appear immediately after accepting a call. The screen stays on the dial-screen the whole time. Only after the call is finished, Tomtom comes back automatically.
Does anyone know a way to change this, because it's pretty annoying.
Thanks in advance!

I have the same "problem". Before on my wizard it worked like you describe and now it stays in the dial-screen and Tomtom doesn't reappear. Also when the call is finished I have to switch back manually by clicking on the small icons in the corner on the right bottom.
I also have a NIKI 100, Tomtom 6 and WM6.1 (Niki Project).
Does anybody knows how to fix this?

GPS - any suggestions?

Loving my new O2 XDA Mini S, and am gonna get GPS SatNav thingy for it - I can get a 2GB Mini SD card for £25, but can someone recommend a good GPS Bluetooth receiver that works well with it (I'm in the UK). Is sirfIII better than sirfII chips? Do I need 32 channel or is 16 fine?
Also what software do you guys recommend? TomTom? iGuidance? iGo? All I'm really interested in something with spoken directions and something that lets me type in 2 post codes and Go!
What version of TomTom is applicable to the XDA Mini? TomTom Mobile? TomTom Navigator?
Is 6 worthwhile or is 5.21 ok?
Is it easy to install?
Sorry for all the questions, just excited about the prospect of SatNav
Hi there, welcome to the world of the Wizard,
As far as GPS chipsets go, I think the SirfstarIII is better but I can't be sure.
I always got on very well with a 16 channel BT GPS before it broke so dont be fooled by loads of hype about how many channels it has.
More channels does mean it can lock on to more at once but it isn't absolutely necessary.
Tomtom 5.21 is good enough but I feel personally that 6 is better. Bear in mind that if you would like TT on a landscape setting, it doesnt have that feature anymore so 5.21 is the way to go. Other than that, there are ways around it, it's up to you.
Hope that helps a bit

Sorry i disagree with that, it may not have it i the programm but i have my mic button set to switch between Land and Port. I just press that button and it works good in land!!!
To set a button Start, Setting, buttons, select you button at 1. and then select <Rotate screen> at 2.
and now you have landscape for Tomtom 6.0
The holux GPSlim 236 is a very good device, Sirf III so great reception and its tiny.
as has already been said, more channels isnt better, while there are loads of satellites up there due to the curv of the earth you will NEVER get more than 10 sats at once, Ive had 9 and thats the most my device sees.
You also only need 3 to get a lock. 4 gives your position in 3d (so altitude as well) and more doesnt really do much. So any 12 channel reciever is good. But yeah, aim for SIRF III, the quicker lock on and better reception in built up areas is a must.
Im currently using Tomtom 6 and its the latest and greatest. If your getting tomtom then obviously get 6, its actually cheaper than 5 (even cheaper if you know where to look )
I tried route 66 but its too much, Im a techie myself but this program is just stupid, giving you all sorts of useless info on screen and very little map.

Disagree with what???
And on that score, if you want to sacrifice your recording button, the next option, "Button 4 (Hold)", assign that to the Tomtom Navigator program and hey presto.
Yes, I have "purchased" TomTom 6 already at an, erm, "good" price, with GB maps.
I'm gonna get a 2GB mini SD when I get paid, and a GPS receiver.
So am I right in thinking ANY Bluetooth sirfIII receiver will do?
Also is it easy to set up? I've read some scary (to me anyway!) stories about registry hacking etc on the XDA Mini S to get it to recognise GPS receivers.
Paiting a BT GPS is easy - just ensure that the name you give it ends in "GPS"..... then TomTom will connect to it .
That was valid for 5.32 - haven't tried 6 yet..

To answer the question, the pda version is Tomtom Navigator.
Mobile runs on 'phones'. By that I mean units that do not have a touchscreen.
Well thats my interpretation anyway. I have Tomtom 5 Mobile on a Nokia 7610. i.e. It doesn't have a touchscreen.
I decided to purposefully disregard price for the GPS and got a USGlobalsatBT359. It cost £75.
The reception is fantastic. I can get 8 or 10 sats at high strength if I stick the unit on the underside of the car roof. My TomTom Go barely picks anything up.
The start up time and battery life are great. Just needed to tweak the WM5 registry of the Vario2.
The only thing I don`t understand is the GPS control panel!!!! It does not seem to do much!!!!

What i've done on mine is assign that button to the voice commander thing so I can run multiple actions by voice by holding in the button.
Not perfect but I found that assigning TT to just one button then left me wanting other things at other times.
David.
I have a Holux (not HOLOX - cheap copy) 20 channel BT GPSlim 236 receiver which is great. A 32 channel receiver may well mean you stand a slightly better chance of picking up satelites but there isn't 32 satelites up there anyway.
The system works by triangulation meaning you only need three to get a lock on your position. The more you see the better though as the lock will be stronger. Many will tell you that due to the curvature of the earth you can only ever pick up 6 satelites maximum, but I happen to disagree.
Tomtom 5.21 is great, got it the other day and I found my way home first time... lol.!
Matt.
p.s Don't forget that GPS works using US military satelites, so if the US feels a bit twitchy i.e. either someone is about to pick on them or vice versa then they can change the coordinates of the satelites meaning over a distance you won't have a clue where you are!!

Yeah it does but you might not need it.
Say you've got TT talking to the GPS on COM7, that's fine until you now need another app also talking to the GPS at the same time. It can't because the GPS is already talking to TT like a pair of housewives that haven't seen each other for, oh about a day! (ok, nothing like a bit of evil stereotyping eh?).
What the GPS control panel lets you do is share the GPS between multiple apps. You configure the GPS CP to talk to the real GPS via the hardware port number and then create a software GPS port.
You now configure your apps to talk to the software GPS port and the GPS port driver abstracts the real GPS port and sends the data to all the interested apps.
Like I said, you might not need it unless you want multiple apps to talk to the GPS at once. Why might you want to have multiple apps? One example could be a track data logger running at the same time as the satnav.
Or another might be Wififofum doing a wifi wardrive at the same time as running Tom Tom for satnav.
David.

I got the same bundle and I love it.
looks like some people have had problems with teh Houlk 236 over at gpspassion.com
I just got a Globalsat 338 and its awesome!! Huge improvement over the SIRFII based CF card GPS I had for my old ipaq.
I also 2nd iguidance. Its cheaper than tomtom5. I don't know which I like more, they both different things well (but Iguidance sure loads faster than tomtom for me). I'm looking forward to trying tomtom6 to see if its a huge improvement

I would never buy Holux ever there technical support is arrogant and rubish they turned round and said sorry we dont support the item unless it was purchased from the uk
And would not send me the firmware to flash my gps230 so its now sat in a drawer doing nothing and i have a cheap £40 one thats brilliant BT-GPS

Here's an idea: try not stealing.
i don't nomaly steal but as i don't know how stable tomtom works on my phone or how stable bluetooth gps works on my phone i am reluctant to spend 80quid to find out.
works very well, you have to config your exec to get TOMTOM to work with bluetooth gps( you can find that on here somewhere).
It works fine, but slower than on a QVGA screen device.
I have used v5 and v6 on AKU 2, 3, and now Crossbow ROMs, it works fine on the Universal, so you can buy it without worrying.

You don't actually have to config anything if you have the TomTom GPS, it turns on BT itself, and finds it.
If you have a non TomTom BT GPS, simply pair it, and select an outgoing COM port, then when you fire up TomTom, tell it that it's a BT GPS on whatever port you chose.
All very easy.
cool, that is the kind of information that i was looking for, does anyone here use the live trafic update service? does it work well and divert you automaticly and how much does it cost to subscribe?
cheers
If I can remember, you and get 1 free month to try. Traffic is not always update!!!!!
It's good if there's a large incident, but in my experience you usually get stuck in things before they hit your device, and you see the road signs on motorways and things warning you anyway.
I stopped the subscripton, and just reroute myself if I see warnings, or hear something on the radio.
I am using TomTom 6 on my Exec now.
Previously used Navigon MN|5 which required *LOTS* of memory, so TomTom was a nice refreshment with its 7-9 MB memory trace.
Had problems setting up Bluetooth receiver. It wasn't showing up in the port list when I selected Bluetooth one. What I did was: added an incoming serial port, run TomTom and set port to this one (did not work yet!) then closed it and removed the port; after that TomTom just worked straight away At this point, an attempt to change port led to inability to get out of port selection, and you're buggered again. I'm sure that's some glitch, but I solved it anyway. May be there's a neater way of doing this.
But the software itself was good and stable, does what's on the tin, copy a directory to your card and you get Full Postcode navigation (very useful when finding businesses and not residential homes), and POI Warning function is built in now -- a *major* plus, never really got time to make POIWarner work properly. Tunnel mode -- progressive marker movement when lost GPS signal in a tunnel -- and that won my heart.
I do understand people's need to try BEFORE you buy, not after your money is tied up with some dud product and you get no refund. Go Trial, go.
Well in this case I'm pleased with TomTom 6 and its services. You can easily get a camera database each month from the Net and probably can live without Traffic service, but for me £33 a year doesn't seem too big a dent in my wallet - compared to £170-200 TMC receivers currently available on the market.

AlanJC: Have you tried TT6 under WM6 and did all work well? Also, was TT6 happy after you upgraded the ROM - did you have any problems with TT6 thinking the Device Code had changed, thereby needing to re-register the software?

tomtom 6 NAVIGATOR

I have installed a (legitimate since you ask) copy of tomtom NAVIGATOR 6 onto my MDA Vario II. The 4+ Mb programme resides in main memory and the Western_Europe map and everything else is on the 2Gb Sandisk Micro SD card. I have a Fuzion SiRF starIII bluetooth GPS receiver. tomtom's US website says the hardware and software are compatible, the UK site does not. The programme runs very slowly (it's not smooth as I have seen demonstrated on a Mio, which had a 312Mhz processor, but is stilted). Sometimes the machine locks up and I have to press the 'OK' button. When browsing the map, the machine struggles to process the picture. I ensure that there are no running programmes. What is the cause, please? Could it be that the hardware and software are incompatible?
just try to flash aku 3.3 to your vario. it will make ur phone work smooth and will not hang at all. then u will be able to run tomtom 6 perfectly
Rather than risk aku 3.3 issues I suggest you are probably right and there is soe sort of hardware issue. I have navigator 6 and TOMTOM BT receiver and hav absolutely no issues at all
I use TT6 on a daily basis and I can say that under WM5 AKU2.3 it used to hang very often when putting post code. I ran ok. After flashing AKU3.3 it works flawlessly. The same with WM6. Now it also seems to run a little bit faster.

What you need to do is disable all the POI's except the speed cameras. Mine did exactly the same thing. You can still navigate to the POI's, they just don't show up as you're driving past.
Cheers.
ok... maybe you guys who have already told him to upgrade his phone to aka3... somthing or other do know best BUT...
could you please say what version of tomtom 6 you have. (there are at least 3 versions i have used)
to find this
load tomtom
on the navigation window tap the section of the screen that shows GPS signal strenth this will load the route summary window.
in here below the right hand side pannel that again show the GPS signal strength it should say the version number 6.XXX
please let me know what versino you have... i have found varying levels of stability and performace with diff versions of tomtom.. might be as simple as a different tomtom build to resolve your issues.

yep this is the same on mine, disabled all but a few POIs and no or very rare freezes. if it does freeze up hit the hangup button and relaunch.
there was some hope with the Version 7 tomtom out soon that there would be a fix for the problem.

ok. i have had pretty good results with 6.0.30 but it might be worth you trying the 6.0.20 version and see how you get on.
at least you will loose the anoying mute on start bug. (the phone sees a data connection and asuumes its a phone calls so starts in mute.)

How To get GPS working

can anybody tell me how & what is the step to get the GPS works ?

I would think google maps with the ability to real time track your location would be great. Anyone try that?

Dopod U1000
Hey!
I have an Dopod U1000, which is the Advantage/X7500/Athena but on the Asian market.
THe first and biggest problem I have is that the GPS is not working. I cannot get a GPS-fix, but I have contact with the actual GPS-unit.
It doesnt matter where I am or for how long I wait - I have never got a fix and once every now and then I get 1 or 2 satellites with very bad connection - but never a fix.
I talked to HTC about this and they didnt know anything about it.
I then, when I asked around, got a weird answer from a company here in Sweden. They guessed that since U1000 is for the Asian market they may somehow have "preprogrammed GPS" information, so that they use Asian satellites. Sounds very strange to me - as far as I know they are not geo-stationary so the satellites goes around and thus there are not specific Asian satellites.
Anyways, anyone know about this issue? Suggestions?
Thx!

the Global Positioning System is global, and should work anywhere on the globe !! apart from in war zones (and near US military bases) where the signal is sometimes deliberately degraded so enemies cant use satellite guided missiles.

This is also a big problem in Germany - it's not possible to get it working with Google Maps. We tried everything (also to disable the GPS-Splitter and use Com5 which helps with some programs, but not with Google Maps).
So we gave up for the moment waiting for an update (maybe Athena, maybe Google).

Got mine working in TT6 by doing:
Other NMEA GPS Receiver
GPS Baud Rate: 4800
Com4
Is this what everyone else is doing ?
is the Baud rate correct?
Its quite chuggy/slow compared to tt6 on universal. i.e. 2-3fps as opposed to almost smooth on universal
Also, is it possible to change that tomtom icon thats on the today screen ? its so ugly and blocky - really detracts from the otherwise lovely Ameo screen
Mine is working great. By the way, i'm using MapKing10. When setting the port just select auto and the software should be able to detect the port in use. My unit can lock on into the satellite signal in less then 5s, thats impressive.
Hi
Does anyone know where to get a copy of the aforementioned TT6 for free? I had just bought TT navigator 6 with GB + Western Europe for my Mio A701 about 3 months ago but was gutted to find I couldnt transfer the licence to my new Ameo so i sold the boxed product with the Mio.
Anyone know where I can get one (strictly for "backup" purposes of course).
Cheers
Very easily found on torrent sites.
I won't give a link here as I assume that would be frowned on by the management....

GPS Port
I looked in the registry and I found that com 5 is the official port. Strange enough com 4 and 5 work.
Getting GPS working
I purchased an A701 last week and had one hell of a time tring to get TT6 to work, even though MM worked fine. It appears that some software originally designed for ealier MS does not like Com4. I loaded a program called VisualGPSse, a freedownload, and set that to com 4 and bingo TT6 spang into life. Before using TT now I lauch that small app and it works fine. I,ll try and find the link if Google doen't find it for you.
ps. Does anyone know of an app that will allow me to use hands free, my Mio Rom R65 seems duff in this area.
getting GPS to work
I've installed my vehicle navigation software (copilot live v5) without any problem twice.
But when I tried to instal another GPS-based application called MobileGolfScorer, the system was simply unable to sense any satellite signal. Not only that, the system became extremely slow to the point of freezing up and not responding.
Then, I read about the post that says com5 is the default, so I said to myself may be I should use com5 instead of 4 in my start>setting>GPS.
After changing to com5, my MobileGolfScorer was able to recognise signal although the signal was extremely weak. Also, it was no longer freezing up. I thought that may be I've at least solved the problem and the weak signal may be due to the fact that I was not directly under the open sky.
The new problem is that after changing to com5, my copilot stopped working! When trying to reset GPS within copilot, it just said that I either did not have the GPS connected, or I was having the wrong com selection and/or baud rate. I tried all possible combinations of com and baud rate (including letting it find automatically) but unfortunately the results were the same.
Then I thought to myself may be copilot can only use com4. Since vehicle navigation is a more important application to me, I may have to sacrifice MobileGolfScorer until the problem is resolved. So I went to start>setting>GPS and reverted to com 4.
I then tried to get copilot to work but now it would not. MGS also would not work. So now I have two GPS applications that are not able to sense any signal. I can see the gsm led orange light(GPS) and green light(phone) alternating, which means that the GPS is supposed to be working, althoug the orange light disappears by itself after a while. The thing is, with or without the orange light, the software were not able to sense any GPS signal.
What do all these suggest? Any idea???
Chapter 2 to my story:
Since I'm also experiencing MD lost cluster problems, I had wonder if it could be that some system files used by the copilot program is corruptted. So I decided to hard-reset the unit and reinstall everything from scratch again. The first thing that I did after hard resett was to instal MobileGolfScorer. It did not work when I used com4 and baud rate 4800. Could not detect any GPS signal although the orange light was blinking. Then I installed Copilot live Pocket PC v5. This software has no problem detecting the signal right away. In my mind, it seems to suggest that the reason for copilot to have stopped working could be due to file corruption, while MobileGolfScorer still for some reason could not detect it. What I also failed to understnad is why for a very brief period it did detect very week signal (see chapter 1 above).
My fear: Once I was so confident that com4 and baud rate 4800 solves all problems. Now I'm less sure what is going on. If you're lucky, it works; if you not lucky it does'nt seems to work. You could be doing exactly the same thing entering the same setting but you could get different results. Is it due to file corruption? Why does it get corrupted so easily?
Let's hope some smarter mind could figure this out for us.
Its all about the sucky comport management in windows.
If one app is accessing a com port, no others can.
If windows GPS management is accessing the GPS on com5, then you shouldnt connect to com5 yourself. The whole point of the windows management is that the software port (often port4) it creates is meant to be able to be read by multiple programs.
However, most programs dont seem to like the software port. Eg, googlemaps.
I just turned off the MS GPS management and only use apps that directly attatch to com5, and only one app at a time.

TomTom sound off when starting

Hi there,
Is there someone using TomTom Navigator 6.03 and experiencing the same strange thing I do?
Everytime I start TomTom the sound is off; the sound off icon is on screen. I have to tap Turn on sound in the preferences menu twice in order to have the sound turned on and to have the icon disappeared.
When I exit TomTom and start it again, the sound is turned off again.
Annoying and no idea how to fix that. Deleting the navigator.cfg didn't help.
MapSettings.cfg in the current Active map folder - is it set to read only per chance? - Mike

Hi. I am having exactly the same issue here with TT. I've checked my mapsettings.cfg file and it's not read only...The only thing I can think of is it is because my map is installed on the microdrive, not an SD card
Any help appreciated too!
Merlin
Mapsettings.cfg is not read only and my maps (everything on TomTom) is installed on the Storage Card.
I have exactly the same installation running on my Touch as well, and no problems at all. Seems to be something on my X7500 then.... but what!!???
I am having exactly the same problems, it's been driving me potty! TT is installed on storage card, no idea whats causding it!
Same problem here...
However it started when I updated it from 6.01 back on my old Wizard. That worked properly. I did discover that you don't have to go to Prefs... you can get the sound back on by tapping the joystick to the right. Also, it doesn't happen when it's on AC power, but only on battery.

Not a bad workaround, just wish we could find what was causing this.
Just to clear things out, but who has this problem with official and legal versions of TTN 6.03? - E.g. has it something to do with cracked/patched versions?
Mine's legal...
Although I'm starting to regret messing with TomTom. Their customer service is awful. Unless your device is one the approximately 5 devices they officially support, they'll wash their hands of you if you call for help saying your device is "not compatible." I called for support on my Wizard, which to be exact was a Cingular 8125. That phone is not on their list of compatible devices, but its twin, the T-Mobile MDA, is on the list. I called and said I had an 8125 and they refused to help me. I hung up, called back, and said I had an MDA. They tried to help me, but when they didn't have an instant answer for me they just said, "Sorry, we don't have that problem on ours" and started spewing out useless canned knowledge base articles. For heaven's sake, the MDA and 8125 are the SAME PHONE! Also, don't tell them you have WM6, because WM6 is "not compatible." Basically, if you have to call TomTom support, lie through your teeth. I'm waiting for OnCourse Navigator, due out in October or November, and then I may abandon TomTom.
Just to compile information...
OK Let's see:
1) I got my TT6.03 legal with legal maps and I got the problem.
2) Running my old legal TT6.01 I didn't had the problem.
3) If I do it using Prefs I need to activate twice the sound in order to get the mute removed
4) I got the problem running on baterry, using the oficial car charger and using the wall charger. I got the problem all the time no matter what power source I'm using.
5) The "Move Joysting to Right" workaround works great. Thank you very much. That don't solve the problem but makes my live much easier.
So... that's the point. I'm running TT6.03 (legal) over WM5 ROM in spanish.
Best Regards,
mahjong
So.... resuming: it's TomTom Navigator 6.03 with the combination of the HTC X7500/Athena.
The problem isn't there while running 6.03 on a HP iPAQ hx4700, Qtek 9000 and HTC Touch.
I have 6.030 on WM6 English on my Athena and I don't have this problem...
I don't have this problem either. I'm using version 6.0
LOL !!!!
Ok man !!! Is your connection GPRS/EDGE/UTMS/HSDPA is online ?
Because if there's an active connexion Tomtom start allways with the sound off.
Try to disconnect before launching Tomtom

Then that goes for version 6.03 only. With 6.00 it didn't matter wether the data connection was active or not.
Anyway, I need to stick with 6.03 and live with the mute problem, since 6.03 can work with my voices stored on storage card (instead of MD) and performs a fix in only seconds (instead of 1 - 1,5 minute).
No sound after starting TT6.03
I have the legal version of TT6.03 and I have the problem too. I only have this problem when my phone is connected to the internet using gprs, umts or hsdpa. If their is no connection I do not have this problem. It also happens on other devices for instance the HP iPAQ 6340 and it is a know bug. TomTom know's about it. It will be solved in te next version.

BINGO!!! We got a winner here ladies and gentlemans.
Mine has the connection online all the time due to my push-mail solution (Blackberry Connect). I did some test shutting down Blackbery Connect before starting TT and "the problem" just gone.
Thank you. Anyway since I must have connection online all the time the "Joystick move to right" trick is great for me.
TomTom6 Sound
Guys great thread, I am glad to see someone else is struggling with this strange issue. Its really no big deal, its just annoying. Any updates on this issue yet?
And here was me thinking it was my *cough* test *cough* version. Loving the 'fix' taa v much. I might have to write a mortscript that recycles the data connection, rotates the screen and starts TT.
tomtom 6.02-7910 works fine
I also was having problems with tomt 6.032 but the problems does not seem to exist in tomtom 6.02-7910
