Hello,
I wanted to get some information about the roms.
When you flash your Polaris with the new rom, do you have to install Windows Mobile 6 again or is it already in the rom?
Then, thanks to the SPL of Olipro we can change the rom of our Polaris, but where should we go to get some rom?
I'm looking for a chinese rom with chinese language...Do you know where i could find one?
I saw that Ludo post a link for a french rom (not the SFR one), where have you find this one?

If you search a bit in the forum you can find the answers. You won't need to install wm6. u just flash a new rom. U need to be patient until new roms are cooked, and maybe make a donation to the project.
I'm just looking for the chinese official rom.

First of all,
if you want to flash another rom, you need to hard-spl or uspl your device.
but besides that, you also need a german backup-rom for waranty purposes. this can only be done, if someone is willing to do a romdump on his MDA basic.
i can help you with the romdump, just send me a pm.

First thing is already done. There is a WM6.5 WWE runnin' on my Opal. Just need another ROM ;-)

If i install hard spl on my device,can i then use wich rom i desire then?? Not so familiar with this so i would be fine with a tutorial,on how to flash rom in norwegian mode. See there is a lot of roms that i would like to try, but i dont dare. Do i have to change the radio or not. If i install hard spl,will i then be able to use any rom on this forum??
And at last : will i be able to get my orginal rom back if i desire by an hardx reset?

Hi,
If you flash Hard-SPL, you can flash any Polaris ROM.
You can't flash ROM's for other devices like Diamond or something else.

Like mutant92 says, after HARDSPL you can flash any rom you like, just follow the instructions that goes with it in its first post. Afterwards you can get back to the original rom. I'll tip you to look around some more on this forum under 'Polaris upgrading etc.'. All your questions will be answered there.
There's one thing: make sure the HARDSPL works by testing it.
If you want it strictly Norwegian use this one.

You're welcome. I had the exact same problem with my Tattoo. The malaysian ROMs don't come with the Market app, either, which is why I wanted to get the WWE ROM on there.

so, to summarize, you have a phone in english, you've seen a rom you don't want to flash, so you are asking our advice,,,,
my advice would be to hspl and then flash any english (wwe) rom you want. get the latest stock roms from the "leo official roms" thread in rom development.

I do not understand!For years i wanted to try one of the ROMS in this website but for the life of me cannot understand how to go about it so i stick to ROM UPGRADES from HTC! The 0ne i am now mentioning is still @ HTC.What is your advise pls?

run hspl2choose 1.66.hspl
download the rom you want
if it is a stock rom run it.
if it is a custom rom put it in a folder with customruu.exe and run customruu

stock means genuine htc released rom.

In response to the original question yes you can upgrade your phone with the GCC ROM.It will be in english.There will be a value added installer package in your programmes after the upgrade.Dont install that package.That is for converting english to Arabic.

install hslp 1.56 olinex to your device.
once you have this on your device, you will be able to flash to any custom rom for blackstone.

Forget about speed in WM6.5. It's not designed for Blackstone. Stay with 6.1

1.you can test my 6.1 rom that im currently making if you want? (private message me if you would like to test it)
2.personally i found the speed is slightly faster on 6.1roms
3.visit the xda touch hd wiki for the original rom dumps, its too much work to dump the rom yourself so just download one thats already been done. to be honest, you wont even need it.. there is a wide variety of differant custom roms avaliable. (+ the original roms are crap )

Check blackSTONEhenge ROMs.
I see hungarian flag under cook's name, and I think Wajk cooked at least one ROM in/with hungarian language...
[EDIT] Oooops.... now I see... Wajk did 6.5 ROM... check it anyway... [END EDIT]
