Rumor on PPCGeeks from a Sprint rep is Feb 22nd. Take that for what it's worth.

What appears to be the test build for the new ROM was leaked a couple weeks back, so I'm sure it won't be too much longer(not more than a month?) until we see the official release.

i spoke to my friend who works at sprint and he said that sprint notified them a august 23rd release. He has the same phone so he's always in the look out for any info about it.
This is not a confirmation that it will come out on such day since we all know how release days goes. So don't get your hopes up.
My Girlfriend's Cousin's Aunt who slept with a Sprint CEO confirms this date as well.
In all seriousness, with the "release speculation" 2.1 talk for other phones I won't believe anything unless it is directly from Sprint.

That would make sense...
The 20th was the closest only because they originally had the 20th on the sprint site at first. Technically the guy That said the 21st has got to get credit cause that is technically closer and he was the one saying they would announcement would be soon like in the next day. And what we get a video of a comparison, sprint forums topics and blogs and the following day official announcement.
I wonder if sprint changed the release date from the 20th cause there were so many rumors about it. Oh well.
Sprint is having a promo port a number from another carrier and you get 125 credit for it, plus their promo taht starts tomorrow of all mail in rebates are instant rebates. talked with someone and as it turns out both end on april 16th, questioned on when the best time to buy a phone and then swap it for the nexus and was told around april 14th would be a good time after i suggested it (tho i dont think he quite got the point of my question..)
i also asked for more info about the release date but alas nothing

They said "spring" and many people are saying mid april because they started pre orders already...
I was seriously asking, because so far the only phone I've received an email about preordering was that god awful Kyocera echo.
Im not even worrying about the nexus at this point....

My money is on April 17th is the release date.
Kyocera Echo, Nexus S 4G, and Blackberry Playbook should all release on that date. The only one confirmed is the Echo.
The reason for April 17th is that it is the start of the new pricing period, on a Sunday, already confirmed for Echo, and the first day after all the deals end. It's the best day for Sprint to release all of them.

Hear anything at all about an SGS2 on Sprint???? Been looking around, and it looks like no so far... guess we *****ed too much here and in the VZ forums!
i doubt that they will go on sale on the 17th but more of a coming soon with a release in may, sprint knows users jumped to evo or even heroc people are gunna want to jump up, a mid/late may release would be prime for the evo 3d.
also on april 13th sprint is going to be moving things around in their stores, which usually means they are setting up new signs etc for upcoming phones

I think the Captivate was released on the 17th of July last year. Just a guess, but I think the 22nd would be a good guess, weekend for displays and such, but then again the captivate was release on a Saturday. LOL

The only thing of meaning in that article was the quote from a Samsung exec saying the SGS2 will be released in the U.S. in August. On what carrier is still a mystery.
I just want to point out that one of my suppliers in HK are saying that the Note can be arriving by end of September. Believe it or not, up to you. Hopefully, their update is true.
If that's the case then I'm sure there releasing for U.S for all carriers on October 21

Most retailers here show an expected release around 27th September. There's some on 26th, 28th, 1st Oct, 3rd, but most show late next week. If that's the case then by next week I'll have what to do.
