I recently installed few ROMs on my Trinity,
Few ROMs contain the first dialer (the left one below)
I would like to know if it's possible to unintall it
and install the sconod dialer instead.
I also found that I could install different dialers
only on ROMs that came with the second dialer.
When I tried to install different dialers on ROMs with the first one,
It doesnt fit the screen well.

Just information:
I've tried the second dialer for my atom exec (wm6 aku0.7 by chatreux), and it doesn't work and screen hank when open dialer (currently i use normal dialer for wm6 although there're htc dialer in extended rom (doesn't install htc dialer after hard reset)
I tried the dialers, all versions, it doesnt work...
I also cant install the standard dialers.
I think it all happen only when the first dialer is a part of a ROM.
It makes no possible to install any other dialers.
Any idea how to get rid of it?

This version of 2.x doesn't work on non-htc devices as well, you got any other version of it?
how is it different than 1.x?
Well the reason i posted this cab, it is the only version that i could find that worked correctly with WM6.1 rom. The others would cause and error and cause the device to reboot.

Would you mind tell us what kind of phone do you have? I cannot make it work on my Wizard after installing 6.1. Many different ROMs have been tried but all have the same problem.

How to remove the original WM6.1 Task Manager ? I don't know it will conflict or not.

I installed it on my hermes wm 6.1. The task manager seems to be working but there's no X button. I tried in options, reinstalling many times but nothing. Would anyone know if there's registry entry that could be responsible for that? Thanks
I used it in the past on a tmobile wing (htc herald) and the problem is it does not differentiate ok and close at all. If I tried to make a new appointment in my calendar and hit ok it would close the calendar program and didn't save anything.
I did success install but I think use another company is better support and bugfix and cute and low memory usage.
Such as BatteryStatus Extended version have built in these function. or SPB Pocket Plus.
I am newbie too. No time to learn PPC. If i have another choice I will told here.
Works on the Duttys 6.1 - 5.2.19716 just fine. Needs a soft reset after install; and the installer complains that it might not work right; but seems to be working okay on my end.
X Buttons and all.
I definately prefer BatteryStatus Extended version for closing apps on my Hermes!

This X-button cab works on the Mogul with 6.1. Not sure why it was labelled Taskmanager 2.

Any other users install this on WM6.5 Titanium? It works, but only from the Home screen, and it is in the same spot as the clock in the title bar area. It is actually overlaid on top of the clock and looks bad.
This makes the app pretty useless if it can't be used from the title bar from anywhere other than the Titanium home.
FYI this is on a xv6800 (titan).

I upgraded yesterday to X1a generic Rom R2, tried to install the Touch IT black dialer, but it is not replacing the stock dial pad. I also hard reset my phone still no luck.
can somebody help me on this, im out of ideas

Hi guys,
I've been searching for a FULL .cab for the diamond dialer for over an hour without any luck. Maybe I'm not trying hard enough.
I know there are plenty of .cabs with the skins or the slide to answer mods or the phone canvas but can any ROM cookers provide me with ALL the files for the dialer? Doesn't have to have the slide to answer and phone lock canvas. Just need the dialer I can install the rest later.
Reason being is I am running Cloudyfa's latest beta 6.5 ROM and he has removed the dialer from the ROM and is running the stock dialer. Me no like haha! I installed the 'XDA White Slide to Answer V4 (GSM Only).cab' but only to find it doesn't have all the core files the dialer requires and is merely a skin and modification.
This will help others running his ROM also as there have been a number of people to request the dialer and to be honest I am too impatient to wait for a new ROM version.

I'm a doofus and didn't realise the _FULL_ .cab served my purpose despite the common keywords between my post and the .cab file.
Hi there, I am a blackstone user, which is pretty faster writing with the stylus (for example; using the letter recognizer and the transcriber) than with any digital keyboard.
These input methods are commonly removed in cooked ROMs (I understand it is not just plain discrimination, as they seem to be incompatible with the HTC new keyboard ). It is why you need to use third party software: calligrapher, penreader, official windows transcriber...
In the latest ROMs, however (Duttys R5, Miris 9.1 or Energy) I have incompatible problems with all the these programs...
I wonder if anyone could tell me how to correct the following bugs OR point me to any third party program that works OR tell me how to successfully activate the transcriber and letter recognizer.
These are the bugs:
Calligrapher: In duttys and Miris roms when you use it for the first time... it gets crazy... auto writting continously... In Energy it only works in some programs
Penreader: it does not recognizes the writting (in addition the ink seems kind of transparent
Transcriber cabs: they are not recognize as an input option.

P.S. I tried to install third party keyboards (fingerkey, EZInput) and uninstall the HTC keyboard to check if the transcriber was recognized... not sure how but I black-out my Dutty Rom and had to Volume-Hard reset it.. That's when I decided to ask for help.
P.P.S.S What are the LEO input options? doesn't it have an stylus???
Oh please!! some user of these great ROMs must have managed to get a decent stylus based input!

I can confirm the software "Mobilewriter" works on Dutty Rom. It is similar to the letter recognizer. However, it is not that smooth... Has anyone succeded at configuring it better?

I'm having trouble cooking a dialer into the rom I'm using. The kitchen I'm using is Yozgatg's kitchen. I've tried using the supplied Diamond dialer, and also PhoneCanvas_Slider_3_50_33348_0. After flashing the dialer look's like it does in the attached screen. Any help would be appreciated
You're either "_skip" ing the package somehow, or maybe the video call package isnt selected when you're cooking ? You need that if that dialer supports video calling.
