How to export contacts to import in other phone.

Is there a way to simple export all contacts to a universal format so that it can be easy imported into another phone.
I'm just interested in exporting names with phonenumbers, I'm not interested in any other information in the contacts, so just names+phonenumber.
I coudn't find any way to do this in windows mobile.
I guess I need a tool for this.
I'm not looking for a solution that needs outlook, but just a simple tool that exports my contacts so I can use it in another phone (non-windows mobile).
Can anyone give advice please...
thanks in advance....
hi,
I know you said you weren't looking for a solution that needs outlook, but I think that it's the easiest way to do what you are asking for... After synchronizing, follow these steps:
1. In Outlook, choose File Import and Export.
2. In Outlook, follow the instruction and export your contacts as either Tab Delimited windows or Tab Delimited MS-DOS type.
3. In Outlook, choose the fields in "contacts" you would like to export. (Just export the fields you need)
That will do it for you.
You can also try this.

Again, a 'solution' using outlook is not an option.
The tool you are referring tool does not support WM5, but thanks for mentioning anyway.
Typically microsoft to leave very important functionaly like this out of WM5 but instead you get MSN on the today page (wich I never use and even don't want to have)
This pisses me off....

What carrier are you on and what phone is it?Does it use a SIM card? And,does this device have internet capabilities?
Try this
Sync contact with Outlook Express from current device.
connect new device, now again Sync with new device.

Sync direct off nokia to Diamond 2

Hi people, need some help with this problem, hope that you can help me!
Sorry for the few words but i´ve worked almoust 21 hours!
I dont think there is a direct sync possible
There is another way which I had tried once
1) Export your contacts in Nokia as a csv file
2) Import the same to your outlook contacts
3) Use active sync to get the contacts from outlook to ur phone
Hope this is what you were asking for..

[Q] Contacts from nokia

Hallo , Im new here and few days ago I bought Snap, i have problem with contacts, my old phone - nokia 6280 doesnt have option to put contacts from phone to sim, I exported contacts to file with nokia pc suite but I dont know where I have to put it in my HTC. I also have a problem with Tomtom, I saw in one thread someone said about virtual cursor application, I search it and I cant find it. The more I use my Snap the more I need your help, I also want an application that will block my snap within 20 seconds when I dont use it, will you help me ?
Hi, if you need help with contact from Nokia,, I have an experience. You have to send all of contact to outlook, rename Nokia standardd contact phone from OTHER to MOBILE. Windows mobile and outlook does not work with type of contact OTHER, only with MOBILE, WORK etc. The next way should be export to excel - rename - import back.
Bye Libor
Basically, I synced my Nokia E75 contacts to Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 via the Ovi Suite and then synced my HTC snap contacts to my Microsoft Office Outlook.
Any unrecognized contact numbers (e.g. "Others" category) will be very obvious when you view your contacts on your HTC Snap as there is no number assigned to that particular contact. If that's the case, just edit that contact on your Microsoft Office Outlook with the proper contact number category (e.g. Home, Work etc) and re-sync to your HTC Snap.
Hi, I had quite the same problem while I changed from E51 to Snap. On the E51 I saved all contacts to the storage card (*.vcf). When I put the card into the snap and klicked on an contact, it asked me if I want so save the contact in the phone. I did so for all my contacts and now it´s done

[Q] Contacts issue

Hi,
I am trying to solve one problem with my contact list. I used to have SonyEricsson W810 and all my contacts in the format surname-name-title within. I synchronized these contacts with PC and then with HTC HD mini. But problem occured. In HD mini these contacts are in format title-surname-name, so searching is impossible.
I´ve tried to synchronize contacts with Outlook (in belief that I can change these formats), but unseccefully. Sync calls error 85010014.
So my question is:
Is there any possibility to change formats of these contacts at once? Or is there any program for contact management?
Thank you for any idea
P.
you can export all your contacts from outlook to an excel file , then you have to change titles in excel easily and then import them to outlook and finally sync them with your device.
Contact changer
you can use Contact changer .

[Q] contacts from PC to phone

Hi guys!
I have a .wab file on my PC and I don't know how to put contacts from that .wab file in my SE X2 ... Can someone please help me?
Thanks in advance
the problem is, that windows mobile only syncs contacts with Outlook and with Windows Live.
What you know from Nokia PC and OVI suite, is not applied here. try to import the file into Outlook and than Sync. If not you'll need an app that reads wab! (i didn't manage to find anything useful, for syncing contacts, but there is a post on XDA)
I beleive "SysTools Wab Converter" might be useful...
I can only find demo version and it can only transfer 15 contacts, and I have 300+ contacts If someone accidently find out full version, please send me link in PM

Wab = Windows Address Book, in other words it's an outlook express adderssbook.
Just export your contacts into a csv-file, and import it to example gmail. Then hook up your phone against gmail, and you get your contacts this way to your phone.
How to export contacts ? What are you talking about? I have .wab file but not the mobile phone with those contacts. How to export .wab into .csv? I'm confused.
