i have the HTC Touch and cant be anymore happy with it. theres only one question i have...is there a way to disable the sent notification but still keep the "beep" sound so i know it was sent?
ive tried adding the "SMSNoSentMSG" and set the value to 1 but nothing happened.

How do you make a reminder beep for missed calls?

Guys, here is my question... My Titan blinks the yellow flashing light when there is a missed call, but has no sound. I went in to sounds and added a sound, which is makes when the missed call comes up on the display. However, it never beeps again. I have time when I am in loud areas or don't have my phone on me, and won't notice a missed call until a few hours later. Is there a way to make a beep sound of some kind for a missed call every few minutes? I am using Reloaded 4 ROM. Thanks!
Anyone? Help!

Tried that, as posted above, but the repeat check box is grayed out and I cannot put a check in it, no matter what sound I pick. As for the manual, its kinda pointless with a homemade ROM installed.
Well my dcd rom has that option so I guess yours is messed up or you have programs or settings not allowing you to change it.
Go to settings/sounds and notifications
make sure the events (warnings, system sounds) is checked otherwise the repeat as you found out will be grayed out. I tried this and it does gray out when unchecked...
There must be an issue with the Reloaded ROM that I have. I can check and uncheck the events check box, and go into where you set the missed calls sound, but the repeat check box is still grayed out. I guess I may have to see if I can find a tweak to fix it.
Found the registry change to fix this... http://www.pdaphonehome.com/forums/546050-post18.html
Thanks guys.
Delete..........
The reg hack works.... But after I "dismiss" the notification it still keeps notifying me.

Even though I dont own an HD2 (yet).. try going in settings tab then down the bottom choose "menu/all settings", then choose personal, then phone and sellect keypad "off".. take care
Thank you, that worked (can't believe I missed it).
no worries... Its easy to get lost some times in wm, even more so when this is masked by htc sense ui
Great, thanks for the tip! I thought I had been through all sub-menus but I somehow missed the "Personal" one

We almost need a thread called ,
"Everything you want to know about HD2 but were afraid to ask" ..
I know there are some things that I just missed that were staring me right in the face ...
Anyone know how to disable this through the registry? I'm trying to sort this out when XDA_UC runs.
I flash A LOT and it's a pain to do this every single time.
EDIT: Got it

Sigh... Missed it BIG TIME. It was right there...Below the "play" and "stop" button........ Thank you for starting this thread
WTF-moment...
this is one of the most baffling things about WM. i always forget where this is located ever since my touch diamond days.

text message

How do I get this thing to vibrate when I get a text? I have the ringer off and VIB on at work. Every time I get a text I get the green light but no vibrate alert.
I have been dieing to know something else along these lines.....
How the hell can we make a different sound for when an email comes or a text?
But yes, I do want this vibration too!!!!!!!
You need to go into settings/ sound and display / Notification ringtones
For the text messages viberate
Go to txt program click the menu button go to messaging settings and then you should see viberate.
Hope this helps!
Wow I was missing that. Thanks very much.

[Q] Note 3 Keeps beeping every 5 Minutes

I just got my phone on Thursday and everything seems to work fine with the exception that I get the default beep of it every 5 minutes but without any visual notifications.
This is what I have done so far to remedy the problem:
- Uninstalled/Deleted the email app(since there is a similar problem on the GS3)
- went through every menu on the settings menu and found nothing
- changed the default sound - the beep changed the sound as well
- went into task manager and looked which apps could cause the issue
- went through gmail settings and looked if it is found there
Any help would be really appreciated since this is driving me nuts.

I appreciate you help but I also have this problem with my Note 3 and I am getting this sound when I have not received any message of any sort!
I have spent ages going round and round in configurations but the only setting I have found is in "accessibility" and that allows you to switch off notifications. I understand that this will only stop the reminder from sounding when I actually have a message but this is very useful so I wouldn't like to lose this feature.
Can you give me any help and also show me hoe to get to the screens you suggest.
Thanks
I have to say why do we even have that button? Lol

It's under Acessibility, in the Vision section. It shoes "Notification Reminder" and when you activate it...you get a beep every 5 minutes if there is a notification.

Hi, have you checked the settings to make sure it's not silent? Check my screen shot. You'd have to tap where it says silent.

Is there a "Do Not Disturb" setting in Sounds and Notifications? I don't have mine yet, so I can't check for myself. but that has tripped my up a few times on my HTC 10.
If Do Not Disturb is not on, look for a setting called "Smart settings".... it is under General > Smart Functions [Label] > Smart Settings.... if you set the home screen settings to enable the Smart Bulletin Screen you can also get to it from there
Appreciate the replies folks..I just downloaded Textra, but the stock messaging App is still silenced
Same problem

I figured it would be a matter of time before someone else chimed in with the same problem..I still haven't found a solution other than a new app for messaging..
Went to t mobile today. They did a warranty swap for.me. LG told.me.to.send it to them for as service after factory reset did not work.

Maybe I'll do the same cause I'd rather not use textra
This is a feature of android 7.0. When you receive the message, swipe down from the top to show your notifications, press and hold the messaging notification and then you should get an option to select that states Don't silence. It's probably set to Show Notifications silently.
Thank you sir!!
