Android Development vs Android Development General

Hi All (especially mods)
Now that we got the new HD2 Android Development General forum, can someone please clarify the difference between Android Development and Android Development General? What topics should be posted in the one and not in the other, or should maybe the Android Development subforum be renamed to Android ROM Development?
THere are no Android "ROMs" yet...not until they can be flashed to NAND. They call them "builds'.
I thought it would be quite obvious...in this forum, only threads for actual builds (or "ROMs") should be in here...all other threads should be in general.
the problem is no1 goes to the other side...
i posted a qns but no1 even viewed the thread!!

I believe the title for other forum should be "android general" where people can talk about general things related to android but specific to hd2..e.g. What games work on hd2 and things like that...and this one should be dedicated to android development where p people can talk about new developments and troubleshooting etc.
Just my 2 cents!
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA app on froyo mattc 1.5
Moved you're thread over to the "general" section so the develoupment section is less cluttered

Great!
Thank you guys
please note that you posted this thread in wrong subforum...you should have posted it in blackstone general subforum since it has nothing to do with blackstone development....
since it is pretty obvious that you haven't seen any naked chicks lately...please have a look here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=286344
As posted above please abide by forum rules by searching and posting in correct sub-forum.
I've moved this to correct forum

forum shuffle

Anyone else feel its time for a forum shuffle now we have Android NAND, I think we should have a seperate section for Android NAND ROM dev & Android apps.
current:
HD2 General
HD2 Q&A
HD2 Accessories
HD2 ROM Development
HD2 Themes and Apps
HD2 Android General Discussion
HD2 Android Q&A
HD2 Android Development
Suggested NEW:
HD2 General - anything goes
HD2 Accessories
HD2 Windows Mobile ROM Dev (6+7)
HD2 Windows Q&A
HD2 Android Dev (NAND)
HD2 Android Dev (SD)
HD2 Android Q&A
HD2 Windows Themes and Apps
HD2 Android Themes and APPs
Just a suggestion, do not turn this into a flame thread please.
yes, that would be better.
My honest opinion:
1. There is no need for a seperate HD2 Android Apps forum
Why? Because there's no such thing as a Android App specifically for HD2.
2. There is no need to split the Android section into a separate SD and NAND section
The new labeling rules for threads in that section make it easy to distinguish between NAND and SD stuff.
3. If you're having trouble finding stuff, improve your searching skills
Not flaming here. Proper search queries will get you whatever you might possibly be looking for, not only here but in other places on the internet as well. Don't just use the forum's built-in search, use google too.
On the topic of searching, it's also considered good practice to search before creating a new thread. This is the 5th or so thread on the subject of creating new sections/subforums that I've seen in the past day. Having multiple threads on the exact same subject is one of the things that makes information difficult to find in the first place.
Well, considering that hell has, indeed, froze over with an iphone forum on XDA, anything goes.

no need for a separate forum. people still can't seem to keep android related crap in the android sections we already have.....
what good is another one going to do?

There are many threads here, read these!!!

As it says in the forum rules:
1. Search before posting.
Use one of our search functions before posting, whether you have a question or something new to share, it's very likely someone already asked that question or shared that news.
And in this case, you didn't even have to search, just scroll down a little....
it's kind of disappointing to come to these forums, see a new thread and find out it's just another thread about the same thing that has been discussed for months already...
Not to discourage new members, but i remember i had to put up 10 posts in general sections before i could post in the development section, and by the time i had my 10 posts almost all questions i had wanted to ask had already been answered just by reading what others had written before.
I agree totally with you hrk7474.
"but i remember i had to put up 10 posts in general sections before i could post in the development section"
For almost 1year I was reading and reading every post that was added to the forum and one day I managed to put up 10 posts my self on the "Touch HD Windows Mobile ROM Development" until i was allowed to post any comment on the android development
I hope they change back to that system!

[STICKY] Do Not Post Windows 10 Mobile Topics

All,
This is to remind everyone that this forum is for Windows 10 Development and Hacking. If it's a hack or development application that applies to Windows 10 as a whole, then it's fine here. If it's Windows 10 Mobile specific, there's a Windows 10 Mobile forum to post that to.
We'd rather this thread not be cluttered with topics that don't truly belong here.
Thanks!
