Pocket PC as a hands-free device ? - Networking

I found that some WM based all-in-one GPS navigation devices have build-in bluetooth hands-free function.
You can connect it with cell phones via bluetooth to dial and answer phone calls while navigating using the phone UI and build-in speaker/mic on those devices.
I wonder if there is any software yet in the market can make regular PPCs(w/o phone function) do the same thing.

Wizard Bluetooth Handsfree on PC

Hi All,
Here is an unusual one for you guys - you have really helped me out in the past; so here's hoping......
I currently work from home and would like to use my Bluetooth enabled Laptop as a handsfree kit for my Wizard. I suppose in a similar way to an aftermarket in car kit with caller display, contact navigation, dialling from the laptop etc, etc. I have all the stuff i.e. microphone, speakers, bluetooth on my laptop so I don't really want to buy an in-car kit to do the same job.
Is this possible, and how do I do it ??
I synchronise Outlook via Bluetooth, so I have no problem in connecting the two devices.
Just to clarify why I'm looking to do this - I have to place my Wizard in my study window in order to get a decent mobile signal. If I have it on my desk the signal disappears. I make all my business calls on my Wizard, and I am getting seriously fed up with getting up and down around 20 times daily to answer my phone!! Then if I need to refer to some info on my laptop, the signal vanishes when I get to the laptop 'cos I've moved away from the window..aaarrgghhh!!
Here's thanking you all in advance.
Possible Solution
As much as I know, and I understand, It is possible to use your laptop speaker and microphone to answer the calls on your Wizard. To do so,
1-Your laptop must be equiped with the WidComm Bluetooth Hardward and Drivers
2-Pair your Laptop with the Wizard.
3-Go to CommManager on Wizard then Setting > Bluetooth Select your laptop and in services check the handsfree.
4-Allow the full access to Wizard on your Laptop and connect to wizard.
5-You will see the handfree icon on Wizard.
Now on If any call comes you can hear the call on your Laptop speakers and Anwser via Laptop's Mic. But you have to stand up and go to Wizard to accept the call or dial a number. I not know if it is possible to answer from Laptop.
Thanks.
Thanks for the response Hacken.
I have also found this:
http://www.blueshareware.com/bluetooth_pc_dialer.asp
This enables a calls to be dialled and terminated from the PC via Bluetooth, but it doesn't work the other way around. I have been looking into this for a few days now and it would appear many people are also looking for a solution.
The market potential for a fully functioning Bluetooth/PC link must be vast as it could be a solution for disabled users in making phone calls, used in call centres, in car PC's etc, etc

Bluetooth Shortcut to disconnect hands free

I don't know if this is possible or if this is a really simple question however is there a way to disconnect a hands free device in 1-2 clicks.
what happens is this, I have a BlueAnt Speakerphone in the car I get out of the car (and forget to turn of BlueAnt) walk 15m and make a call - phone is still connected to Hands-Free, so how can I quickly disconnect the hands-free and make a call through the normal phones internal speaker.
I suppose I can assigna button to be comms manager and disable bluetooth however I want bluetooth to remain on if possible (just d/c hands-free temporarily)
Windows Mobile 6.1 on HTC Touch HD
You can try this, it merely toggles bluetooth.
However, I have had the same problem as you, so decided to make my TD2 KNOW when it is in my car and KNOW when it is not. I use GProfile for this. It knows when it is in my car because it is connected to my car cradle (it is charging) which is also an FM transmitter (it thinks it is connected to a headset). This then automatically turns bluetooth on when cradled. When I un-cradle it, it turns bluetooth off thus disconnecting from my handsfree headset.
GProfile is one program which does this but you could use Mortscript instead.

Wondering if this exists (bluetooth related)

In my friend's car, he can dial his contacts by connecting his phone to his car. Basically he can program the car to have voice activated dialing and etc. Now my question is, is there an app for android that allows your device to connect to your pc via bluetooth, and then allows the pc to make/receive calls? I searched this on XDA and didn't find anything, same with just plain google. Thanks!

Any way to use the phone AS a bluetooth handset?

My office phone has bluetooth for use with pairing with a bluetooth headset.
Is there way way to use the N1 as a bluetooth headset/handset? It would need to be an application which opens up the microphone and speaker when a bluetooth is triggered by my office phone. I'd rather use my N1 than a bluetooth headset.

[Q] Modify Blueooth Stack for Satnav Behaviour

Hi all,
I own a Bluetooth system for my bike helmet called Scala Rider. The system is designed to be able to connect to a mobile phone and a satnav simultaneously, however I use my HTC HD2 with WM65 as a TomTom only device, and I use my HTC HD7 with WP7 as my phone and A2DP audio source.
Unfortunatly, the helmet system doesn't work properly for me because it see's both devices as phones.
Is there any way that I could modify the Bluetooth stack on the WM65 phone to emulate the behaviour and operation modes of a TomTom satnav so that the helmet system will allow me to operate both devices together?
Thanks
Richard
