SPL and IPL - what are they, how are they changed?

I am trying to get a rom installed that other posters who are having the same problem I am (applications and ring tones not showing up) seem to suggest that the CID is not unlocked. I downgraded my ROM and noticed on start up that the IPL is not at ver 1.01 but the SPL is at 2.26. What do these mean? How are they upgraded? is this relevant to the issue I am having? thanks

I am now at IPL 2.24, and SPL 2.26 - have I read correctly that i can't go back on the SPL to something previous? someone? Bueller?

Your IPL/SPL has ALWAYS to be the same version. Otherwise you can get problems with your device, it could get highly instable.
You can try to flash my Molski.Biz Rom, then you're IPL and SPL should both be 2.26

that worked fine. I just don't know what i need to do to get RUU_RIsidoro_2.26.10.2_WWE+CF2SP1_G3 rom to work correctly.

A friend of mine has a Wizzard from Orange NL. His IPL/SPL are 1.3 right now and he want to update his ROM but he said he can't because he needs those to be 2.xxxx. I've only been messing around with my HTC BlueAngel and i've never come across IPL/SPL.
Can somebody explain to me what it is and how you upgrade it, or even if you want to upgrade it. Is this something you have to do before you flash the ROM or do you just need a certain ROM to be able to upgrade from a 1.3 IPL/SPL?!

but my radio id 1.18
do i need to make it biger version or i can leave it like this

Radio 1.18 comes with the 1.35 ROM
There is a Radio 1.20 on the ftp but to install this your will have to downgrade your bootloader and flash just the radio part of your ROM.
This can be a tricky process (since the tools needed are copyrighted and will not be posted on here) and many people have bricked their TyTNs so I would recommend you stick with 1.18 unless your having problems or do some research first.

But When I Crack It Iv Got Super Cid
So Why Cant I Upgrate The Radio
So You Mean Now I Cant Upgrate Any Rom.....

I have a G3 Cingular 8125 IPL 1.01 SPL 2.25 GSM 01.12.10, CID unlocked and I need to find out where to get tmobile us rom 2.26 and t-mobile uk radio 2.19.11...
Any help is appreciated.

Your IPL and SPL NEED to be the same, did you unlock the device yourself? If so, go back and read step by step.

I got the IPL and SPL the same. Now the second part. I downloaded and installed the US Tmoble rom to get ipl/spl to 2.26 and that worked. I've seen many people running T-mobile US Rom (for the ipl/spl 2.26) and T-mobile UK rom (for the radio 2.19).
When I attempted this combination I performed the US rom first to get to the correct ipl/spl numbers and that worked fine. Nut when i loaded the UK rom for the radio to be at 2.19 it downgraded ipl/spl to 2.21. I am in the US on a Cingular 8125 on the Cingular network. Any help is appreciated.

The problem is is that you seem to be flashing the entire ROM from T-Mobile UK and not just the radio ROM. If you check out the wizard wiki you can get the radio ROMs by themselves and just flash that. You can flash those with any OS ROM version, it doesn't have to be a T-Mobile one.

I agree with xeno1, also when you flash just the radio, it takes a fraction of the time a full ROM takes. I would flash your 2.26 ROM again, then flash just the 2.19 RADIO! From there, you can flash a WM6 or WM5 ROM.

Alltel Radio downgrade 1.05

Hello I would like to downgrade back to my original radio rom version 1.05 I Upgraded to 1.43 but I'm not happy with it. Does anyone know a download link or have that stock radio version that they can pass along. Or if you have it on your Alltel 6700 can you make a copy of the radio rom. Thanks!!

Which Radio rom is best suitable for the wwe 0.67 rom by Bepe

Hi all,
At flashing a pda i'm a newbie
but recently I flashed it to the wwe 0.67 rom bye bepe, and i like it alot, faster than standard rom,...
but I sometimes have some reception problems now...
And after reading some of the threads here I now understand that some radio roms work better with a certain rom.
So my question now is: which radio rom works best together with the wwe 0.67 rom by Bepe?
I currently use the 1.58.21.23 radio rom.

Hi, I use 0.67 Bepe too. Alright Radio rom is 1.64.06.04

Pls do further reading on radio rom post. You are advisable to used radio ROM 1.58.xx.xx or 1.59.xx.xx depend on OEM driver. You can do trial and error on this two version radio without any harm. Better don't used radio 1.65.xx.xx for newbie
