Hi, hope somebody here can help me how to change the language version of HTC touch..
people tell me to flash the rom. how to flash the rom, since it is maybe risky too.. and can any body tell me how much is that risk.. and i'd like to install the windows mobile in english version.
what files do i need to solve my prob.. Thanks a lot before for anybody who can help me bout this.. i really appreciate it..

First you go to the right thread for your phone then you look to the sticky (first thread) and after you read more and more to learn, it's not too risky everybody do this ( i do it every week too see the new rom and dev evolution ). Perhaps you find i am rude but sometime with a post like yours you can be insulted by others because you seem too lazy to look over the forum for answer that has been resolved long time ago.

Andresh is right, check the thread linked from him if you wanna flash your phone with a new build otherwise if you wanna cook yourself a rom , you can start from here.
long'm in search of the manila folders v 2.0 ext 1919 for the kitchen. and downloaded this from here on xda but I get errors when installing, so I need these folders functional. thanked them in advance to all.

Manila 2.0 come from HTC Touch 2 (Mega) , dump it from here http://shipped-roms.com/shipped/Mega/ .
Every chef here has learn how to make own kitchen,apply settings and customization, but keep in mind that we arent some kind of magician, we have Search and lost many time here in XDA only to find a way to have a good Kitchen and we are still learning nowdays.
On that note , when you post a question dont expect yourself to always have quick reply , just wait.
EDIT: Forgot to say that ChefCentral was made for help people interested in Rom Development, explain better your problem and you will gain the proper help.

Hm, i'm interested in cooking.. pls. help
After hours and hours spending to find something usefull for Asus cooking...my project went bad.: mad: .. cant find usefull base rom and config for MYPAL A6x6
Mypal is starving for new rom ... 1. right tool to extract rom
2. dumping tool
3. cooking or manuall
.....all i want is to remove dust ,and scratches from OEM roams

The kitchen you're asking about is based on OsBuilder by Barin and developed for the device by Alexx~. Both guys speak English. The OsBuilder English thread is here. Alexx~ is available via PM.
Just feel free to ask . Don't wait that someone will come over here to read your thread. My buddies (Alexx~ and Barin) are Russian speaking guys and they are not so often here.
Somebody please help us out here, we need a pristine backup.
Basically just get a fresh DVP, back it up, upload the the whole damn folder somewhere and share the link to one of us. I would like to see if a backup from another phone would work. I desperately need to revert back so I can get the firmware upgrade, as do others on this website.
DVP has little, if no, developers.
its sad. but truth is, our device "just works"
theoretically, this could work using the method in this thread. If someone wants to try with the ROM they have on the thread, or with a fresh DVP ROM...

hi guys, afters countless hours of google finally i found a 7008 dvp rom in a chinese forum, im downloading finally after a lot of work cuz to download it you need to register in the site and google translator doesnt work because of the way the site is programmed.
anyways, i still dont have the device to test it (ill be receiving it this week). but if anyone wants to try to play with it there it is: EDIT: (when trying to post i got this message: *To prevent spam to the forums, ALL new users are not permitted to post outside links in their messages. After approximately eight posts, you will be able to post outside links. Thanks for understanding!* i dont have time to be flooding posts in the forum, come on guys, time to review ridiculous rules )
like i said, pretty hard to download bcuz of the language of the site and not tested yet.
if requested i can make a tuto to explain how i was able to download it

I just got it, to download the file do the following:
translate the page by google
then click on copy download bottom beside the link code
then press on allow access on the security dialog that will pop up after
now you got the file
but I think it may be a backup more than a ROM, any way I'll download it and inform you what is it?
I'll take a look at it during lunch.
Ok I took a look and it is just a backup...can't do anything with it.

Guys, just received my dvp a few minutes ago, it looks amazing and it's has a 7004 rom. if you guys can help me to dump it im sure it can be very useful for the community
If you would like to test a few things for for a few days before you update sure.
First thing:
Dial ##634#
Go to RD Test
Enter *#6336#
Scroll down to about
Enter in 983 into the box
it might take a min to load
this is the file browser (just for you to see...cant really do anything in there)
Next we will actually update you to nodo so we can use a filebrowser. Give us a few days to figure this out.
