cradle sold at exansys - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III Accessories

bought a cradle that has a second battery charging slot from expansys. the 2nd battery charging slot wouldn't charge at all so i returned it. it's more than 2 weeks now, and i still haven't got a refund or a replacement. no reply to my email. terrible. avoid!

got same experience before, stay away from them, that's my advice.

Kaiser Cradles

Here's the first shipping cradle, not for me yet as I'm looking for one that charges a 2nd battery. There is one here that has audio out however;

Have you seen a stand alone charger that will charge just the battery?
I'm not one for leaving the phone in the cradle, but I do like to charge a spare battery and cycle the batteries.
I have my eye out for one as well, Last time I got a nice one from Sedio.
Although, I also got a Cradle/Spare Charger from Mobile Planet for my Hermes that was smaller than the single charger so that's what I ended up traveling with, so I could charge 2 when needed. The mobile planet one was from HTC and was the best quality, hopefully they'll make a TyTN version.
Kaiser Cradle with Extra Battery Charger
I ran across this one today...but it says it is not in stock yet.

I emailed them, but have not heard back on an estimated date yet.
It looks good, but looking at the pictures, it has more that 4 contacts for the battery which looks more like TyTN's instead of TyTN II but that's probably a mock-up. I'm hoping still for a HTC version, their TyTN version had the 2nd battery set on edge behind the phone which made for a much more compact charger. Fingers crossed for a type II version..

I'm afraid to use my 8925 as a daily phone without a spare battery. I can get through the day with my 750 with a spare battery in pocket (usually go from 7 a.m. until around 3 with the first battery).
But with only one battery and no stand alone charger, the 8925 is kind of a toy at this point.
Hey buddy, I have a "stand alone" charger to sell you for 1000 bucks. It's fully featured with a 2.8 inch touch screen, bluetooth, wifi, keyboard, GPS and phone. I'll even throw in a 2 gig microsd card and free shipping too.
I will take it!
But only if you will take Western Union and throw in the Brooklyn Bridge.
Gotta believe with AT&T releasing the Tilt we will have cradles and batteries available pretty fast.
here is the link and it is on sale http://www.talkietech.com/htckatiip4de.html
re
the link says that its still not in stock and coming soon.
Is the Tilt able to use the 8525's desktop cradle?
In most cases it will fit, but the rear is thinner so there isn't good support. I'm using one carefully until I can get the real deal for Kaiser/Tilt. Any 2nd battery cradle will NOT fit/charge the Kaiser battery.
I have the following cradles available for the Kaiser:
- Vertical cradle (no 2nd battery charger)
- Horizontal cradle (no 2nd battery charger)
- Vertical cradle with 2nd battery charger
- Dome-style vertical cradle (no 2nd battery charger)
Pictures are below.
If you're interested ... PM me.
Interesting cradle, that horizontal one. But how does it load? The USB-Port is on the other side or is it just an "photo-fake"?
Bye, Peter
the horizontal one looks dope.
The hoizontal one is junk. I got one just like it for my XV6700. The mini USB never lined up quite right. Eventually, I slid the phone in and the mini USB connector broke off and went into the dock. It then became a worthless paperweight. The cutesy stylus is super cheap clear plastic.
Also, as someone else has already noted, the picture has the phone placement wrong.
Has anyone tried this from PDAir? Looks ok.
I just got a shipment confirmation for a cradle from Talkietech.com so it looks like they have it in stock.

replacement UK 3 pin wall charger

Hi everyone!
easy question but I think I know the answer.....
My 3 pin wall charger has stopped working, no light on charger, no charging icon on phone. Tried it in 3 electric sockets...
I think, because there are no serviceable parts, like a fuse, it's for the bin... and buy a new one.
So I guess mobile fun, play.com similar for a new one.
Any suggestions ?

Rant: Second Replacement

So, I just replaced my second Epic due to the charger port going out and no longer charging on the phone. I knew it was happening Saturday because the symptoms were the same as before. The phone thought it was charging and even counted up, but as soon as it was unplugged, it dropped faster than normal, or a restart made it *reset* to the actual phone battery level.
Today, it would not even recognize the charger at all. Luckily, Sprint had a replacement for me in-store this time, so no week wait.
Has anyone else experienced this problem?

I think mine is going bad too. Sometimes it charges and sometimes it doesn't ... did they charge you to replace your phone? How long you've had it for?
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA
I bought mine pre-order and picked it up the day it came out from Best Buy. My first replacement was right at the one year mark. This last one didn't last a year, but since it's refurbished, there's no way to tell how much wear there may have already been on the port.
I have insurance through Sprint, there was no charge.

[Q] Charger or Battery Problem?

I bought my Acer Iconia A500 last year and I am out of warranty. The problem I have is my original charger broke so I bought a cheap overseas replacement one. It charged the tablet the first 2 weeks even though it kind of hanged a little outside the port because the point was too long. Now I have a problem and I don't want to waste money if I can.
When the charger is now plugged into the tablet it starts blinking orange and white. The message on the screen if the tablet is on, constantly changes from Charging to please charge tablet. Now for me to charge the tablet it takes about a week now of constant charging with the device off. When I am running it off the battery everything seems normal, the power drain etc..
What I am trying to figure out is if the problem is the charger or the battery itself. A replacement battery cost $49.99 and a charger cost $19. I am debating on buying another tablet and giving up if I have to pay the $49.99. Has anyone else experience this problem with the A500?
Problem solved. The cheap charger I brought from China just stopped working for no reason. I bought a universal charger from Walmart and it is charging my tablet with a solid orange light. Charger cost only $18.88.

Note 8 battery dead after 2 replacement

I am DIY guy. About three months ago I had issues with my Note 8 (phone). It started with battery going from 100 to 0 in just few hours, each day it would take less and less time to do that until about a week later battery wouldnt hold charge and charge at all. No brainer - Battery is dead. Ordered new battery and replaced it. Worked fine for about a month and then the same thing happened in exactly the same manner. Started scratching my head, and came to a conclusion that the replacement battery might be faulty. So ordered another one again and replaced it . Worked great again for a month , would charge and hold charge until about a week ago the exact same thing happened only this time it took only 3 days for the battery to die completely. Has anyone encountered this weird issue? Both of my batteries were from iFixit store and they werent cheap- about £25. Now I have no idea whether to try another battery ?
