Hi
My problem is that people can't reach my mobile (even with full reception). They have to call twice. I think the problem happens after I check my mail over G3-UMTS.
My operator suggested to change the SIM card !!!!

Hi all
I've just changed mobiel provider from Telmore to Unotel in Denmark and I'm having some trouble with the new simcard.
The simcard I got from Unotel is not recognized in my Exec. There's no real error message. The phone app just reports: "Invalid or missing SIM card"
I've had some communication with Unotel support and they claim the problem is in the Exec not accepting simcard with lower capacity.
Their simcards is 16k.
Unotel can not provide me with a higher capacity card so I was wondering:
Has anyone else had this problem and is there a cure?
Telmore and Unotel both use TDC's gsm/umts network.
I've had not problems with my 32k Telmore simcard and the 16k Unotel card works fine in my SE K700i.

No I'm afraid that is not the problem.
I can use other simcards from different operators without any problems.
It's only the 16k Unotel card that causes me problems
Had exactly the same problem, had to change from CBB to "3" to solve it.
Nothing wrong with your phone.
I was hoping that it didn't had to come to switching operator one more time.
Since it's properbly a general problem with the Universal and low capacity simcards I was hoping someone (smarter than me) had encoundered this problem and solved it.
Or at least is able to confirm the problem is just related to 16k simcard and doesn't have to do with a special coding or something like that.
This way I can confirm with a new operator that it will not be a problem.

Hi mates 2 days before i bought a used Atom.
i have 4 sims of different Network Providers
1) Mobilink
2) Telenor
3) WaridTelecom
4) Ufone
I belong to pakistan.
i test all the sims. all are working fine. but The 4th (Ufone ) is having problem with signal. everytime it says, phone not ready. and sometimes, Insert simcard. or something like that.
Before one day. Ufone is working fine. and i also used GPRS. and now. there is a cross on the gprs icon, and also no signels. i have another siemens mobile. and its giving full signal. for this sim.
so is this a hardware or software problem?
only one network is not working. All other Are working just fine.
Please suggest me..

What's your current rom version?
did this provider work in a previous rom?
do you really need 4 sim cards?
How could this be a hardware problem?
My suggestion is, dont use that provider if you have three others to choose from!
Is your SIM card fitting in properly? Test with a different Ufone SIM and see if you get the same error. This will confirm if the problem was with your SIM or the carrier0device relationship

actually i have 4 sims. but ata time i only use 1 . but i have 2 mobiles
anyways. now ufone is working fine. but no gprs.
and before. its not working fine.
if i will reset my mobile. then again it will happen. (no signals) and all the time its searching for signals.
i am using. jiggs wm5 3.3.3a-final. rom. which is WM5 but modified and having HTC home plugin also.
so i think maybe its a rom problem.
i think i have to go back to original rom. to test the problem again.
or you suggest me which rom is still the best with less bugs. and more stable.

Why is it so many ppl ask support for service provider Sim Cards? speak to you service provider, sorry we cannot help you!

try auto configuration for ur sim card..and then soft reset..go in settings..u may find there auto configuration..or hard reset ur device by keeping backup..

I need some help urgently in fixing up a problem which is very weird and has come up since last night.I have an O2 Atom Life with WM6 installed.The WM6 is the same which was given free of cost by O2 as a part of their service contract.Till yesterday things were fine.After yesterday i am repeatedly getting no service on my Vodafone SIM.I tried restarting it n number of times with no avail.Then i replaced my SIM with another SIM of a different service provider which works perfectly fine.The next step was to put my SIM on a different handset and this also works perfect??
I have replaced my SIM wityh a new SIM from vodafone to eliminate the possibility of a corrupt SIM but that has also not heped my cause.I feel there is some software issue for which i need help from someone.,It is strange that only when it comes to my SIM my mobile throws a "no Service" message......

It seems that your simcard not compatible with that ROM. My suggestion is, you revert back to your original ROM
I am using Sony Xepira ( Middle -East) black & while sending text msg, receipient get same 2-4msgs....which cause problems? & my bills gets charged unfortunately.. Can someone help me with the urgent solution?
it's possible to be from your network , so it gives "unsent" status to your phone , and the phone tryes to send it again , and again until it receives "sent" from your network.
This might be a solution , i am not shure of it.
Dear it's nothing related to my network, beacuse when I remove the SIM from my X1 & insert it in another mobile and it works perfect ..
I went to my network provider & we made the testing , it's from the X1 mobile..it might be software problem ...not only my mobile but few friends of mine are facing the same issue...
Can anyone help me with this issue?

I too have similar issues only using my X1 and would be keen to understand this as my provider is also saying they cannot see a problem in the network and it only happens with the X1.

It's not a network provider problem, it's something related to the X1
You could either try a hard reset, perhaps you installed something wrong.
If that doesn't work, you could go a step further and flash it - but I'm not sure if that is what you want to do
The final option is always returning it to the factory, asking a new one.

I bought my HTC Touch in Oct 07 and unlocked the same. In the network settings wizard, I see only 4 Networks for India.
1. Airtel
2. Idea
3. Hutch ( Now its called Vodafone)
4. Spice
I was using Idea and Airtel network so far and had no issues. Recently I changed my provider to Tata Docomo. When I insert the card, touch is not able to find a preconfigured network and gives a message like "contact your network provider for updates" Then I get some Number for Network name(like in roaming). I am able to make calls and send messages. But sometimes, when ppl call me, its ringing for them but I am not getting the call. The same is with SMS. I sometimes dont recieve the messages sent by my friends.
Will unlocking the phone again help? Is there any other solution? Or should I change my mobile?

Have you tried another sim card?
There could be a few issues.
- Sim Card Problem
- Network (Carrier) problem.
- Phone problem.

1. In my mobile I can see the symbol of Roaming (pyramid). Am in home network only. I have done somany setting to remove it. But I couldnt. Because of this symbol sometimes my mail box is not getting automatically updated.
2. Even I couldnt see the operator logo . Its shows only a numeric ( 405034)
the second issue is not a big problem form me. Please guide me how to remove the roaming symbol

Oh, can you try to hard reset or flash?
Thats surprising to hear as this problem is really rare.
Remember to backup your data, using PPCPIMBACKUP / Google Sync / Microsoft MyPhone.

Even my Elfin keeps showing that I am in Roaming. I am using Tata Docomo and same numeric service procider name appears on screen.
As far as call drop problem is concerened, it holds for all sims.
