Looks nice, but it sacrifices all of the memory functions, and removes a few of the math operator functions.

This one is floating around for some six month already. If you want the memory function, you can just use skins for built in calculator (default looks of this thing suxxxorz)

True, There's even an iphone skin for it, now I'm using it with the standart black skin, looks cool!

same here, never thought the standard calc was skinnable. thanks !

It's only for WM5? I have some errors with WM6.

Does this support landscape mode? I installed it on Kaiser and it seemed to work only in portrait mode, someone please confirm?

how did you pull this off, i have been trying to find this i have been close but not like this.
Personally I'm not a fan of iPhone cloning, but here's what these guys have been using (i sent my phone off to Body Guardz to get fitted, but I'll post my Today as soon as it gets back):

best multipage/multitab today plugin?

Hi guys,
What's the best multi page today plugin with the ability to insert today plugins inside pages?
I'd like if i could have first top half of the screen with htc home plugin and second bottom half with more than one tab with inside different today plugins.
Sorry for my english, hope clear enough...
TY

there is wisbar advance desktop (WAD for short) which can do some wondrous things and it is completely customizable and skinable:
http://www.lakeridgesoftware.com/products.php?prod=WisBar+Advance+Desktop
takes a bit to get used to, but you basically lets you create today screens and add what you want to them, including other today plugins and counters, text , images etc...sorry, not the best description. Have a look at the forum on the site to see what people are using it for.
Hope it helps
I like the good ol' HTC Home. Nice and simple.
I'm really digging on the the tried and true cLaunch lately. As I'm limited to a 240x240 screen, there are only a few viable options for the limited real estate and cLaunch is working nicely as an app launcher. In conjunction with Quickmenu, I manage my device and access my apps with minimal keying.

X2 for cLaunch. Simple, clean, multiple pages, custom icons (.bmp, exe, or dll) you can even change the size of the icons you want to make it more finger friendly. I set mine to 32 pixels, and took off all the borders and tabs. You can use lnk shortcuts.
I think OP 's original request was for something that is tabbed AS WELL as be able to include other today plugins as tab.
can cLaunch or ultimate do that?
I know SPB Pocket Plus can but there are some plugins it can't incorporate which I wish it could like the WM6 calendar and task plugins.
is there an english version of ultimatelaunch

This is a best plugin so far and uses a minimal amonut of ram considering how much works it does.
Anybody know how to put meter in this plugin like battery, signal, memory etc. And show running programs in a tab.
You can create your own tabbed today plugin (for FREE) by using:
1. rlToday
2. MortScripts
Example: http://rotlaus-software.de/forum/viewtopic.php?id=1099

POINTUI vs. Wisbar Advanced Desktop

Hey guys,
This might seem like a random or misplaced question, but I am split between these two programs ...
So far ..
The big con for me for POINTUI is the inability to fully customize everything, including placing shortcuts for certain word documents in an easily accessible menu. Have you guys found the same?
The big con for WAD is the memory drain (or have you guys found the POINTUI to be about the same). However, the WAD is WAY WAY more customizable.
Some help about the two would be very very helpful.
I use Wibar Desktop and finally i prefer this for full customisation !!!
PointUi is very impressive but not customisable as well...
I ve created the VistaPhone with Wisbar... Style Iphone remix...
look screenshot... I used the PointUi wallpaper for joke...
1st = today - 2nd = Menu Page - 3rd = Apps 1 - 4 = Games... and more

Make a new map in the "windows/start menu/programs" folder Example "Docs"
Copy the word documents and paste the shortcuts in that folder. Then you can access them all the time. I still think PointUi is one of the best programs for wm devices ever made.
Go with pointui.. wisbar does have alot of customization but its almost too much. Its annoying to me. Go with pointui. They are improving on it everyday and it is free.

Yes but does it allow you to use today plug ins? I have many I want to use and can't with PointUI like I can with Wisbar Advance.
Even the new 1.02b doesn't seem to do this.
OK but WAD not effect and not Slide
Sorry for my English
I just think you can't compare the 2 softwares..
PointUI is pretty new and developed only by one man. Let it do some work and i'm sure we'll see the best

The Fast and the Furious ---> PointUI
My 2 cents.
PointUI - for entry level users, very user friendly, stylus-free. Great for beginners because of easy setup. Plug and play pretty much. UI is just great for show, but slows down device over extended use.
Wisbar - experience users and mod addicted users. Tons of setups and themes, but the outcome is very satisfying. May be a little much for beginners. Full front end customizable.
My opinion, wisbar hands down, its a little confusing at first, but I loved it ever since.
ViJay, you'll like PointUI for the first 24 hours, but the developer you are, its not up to standards, but then again, PointUI is only in its beginning stages.
WAD all the way
The customization ability in WAD is unmatched by any program. It does take some getting used to, but once you do you won't be able to use anything else. Also Chris (developer) is coming out with WAD2 sometime this month. He has talked about adding in some new features (effects) and reducing the footprint of WAD.
I prefer PointUI, especially with the black theme
I've attached the latest (as of 05/02/08) cab installer.
View attachment Pointui.Home.Wm5.Black.CAB
I'm using SPB pocket plus 4.02. Is the interface comparable to pointui and wisbar?

Is there a tutorial for using WAD? I'd love to create a new today scheme but I'm pretty new at all of this. I believe it's $9.95 at the Lakeridge site which seems very reasonable to me. Thanks in advance.

I didn't tested it yet on Diamond, but on my Prophet it works. It's sadly to say, that it's not developed anymore since 2007.

Well, the main prog does work, but I've noticed some small graphical bugs with it (some missing chars and colors aren't very well at bottom bar). So I stick to cKe. Does the same. With the same bugs

HTC Calculator:isnt it a loser!?

HTC Calculator is a loser!
Look at that screen(portrait mode),it only supports 9 digits!!!!!! if you are businessmen, can you use a calculator that only supports 9 digits?
Sometimes we need to do such calculation as 440000X20000=8800000000,while in HTC Calculator, the result is 8.8e+9.
HTC Calculator is merely a good-looking software that is almost useless in real life!
If HTC Calculator can support 15 digits which mainstream calculators feature, why we scout internet everywhere to find another calculator?
I have been using Panoramic Calc Pro and HiCal,they are great, but cumbersome.
What I need is a simple and quick calculator like HTC Calculator but with 15 digits in portrait mode.
Anyone recommend a good calculator for WVGA?

HTC Calculator supports 17 digits in landscape, so I don't see a real problem here. You don't even have to slide out the keyboard; the calculator autorotates.

I know this. but it's not easy to rotate the screen...anyway,it's awkward movement, when you move your hand to write the number, maybe the screen "eacapes' back to portrait mode, everyone knows what i mean.
plus, some roms....there is no auto landscape mode for HTC Calculator, you must slide keyboard out,moreover....in landscape,it's kinda scientific calculator,in screen it appears like this" 3+5*6-9". I want a calculator like the one we use in our office.

Ok, but that doesn't make the HTC Calculator a loser; it just does not work the way you want it to work. Apart from that it's a perfectly fine calculator.

you are right, if HTC Calculator has 15-digit support, all other commercial calculator software will go out of business.

Well, I don't know what kind of business man are you, but if you move enough money to need more than 9 digits, I suggest you to have your own office, with a calculator on your desk, jeje
Anyway, if you slide the keyboard, you will have 17 digits, and it is very easy to write, I don't know what you mean by "the screen escapes to portrait mode", that never happeded to me. Maybe it's a ROM issue.
Anyway, I hope you find a good solution, and that your business keeps going over 9 digits in this crisis times!
