i have XDA with PPC2002 and TomTom Navigation.
Has somebody upgraded to WM2003 and TomTom installed ?
All working fine ? Also Radio ok ?

What happens with language ? I have PPC2002 now in German.
Is the upgrade working with German PPC2002 ?
Will WM2003 be in English ? Is it possible to have it in German ?

i have wm2003 running with navigator, i installed navigator and voice but not gps, upgraded to 2.04 then installed latest gps, no probs except for map display, you have to swap between map and navigator to get the map to display.

(Hard Reset, then upgrade phone first or WM2003, ...)

do you talk to your gps through a serial cable ? I have tried and failed to get my xda 1, wm2003 to talk to my garmin etrex summit through a serial cable with null modem adaptor.
any tips ?
in the gps app, com 1 comes up as does not exist and com 2 has no data on it.

Maltloaf, go to settings/connections/beams, make sure "receive incoming beams is unchecked, this will release com 1, the settings for tomtom should be nmea 4800, or just choose tomtom gps on com1 because this has its default the same.

TomTom is running fine, make sure that you use the latest version of GPS.

Bluooth problem with new ROM:
ROM-1604eng
ROM-16036wwe
ROM-v16050
ROM -16021wwe
ROM-16052ger
All these versions presents the same problem, now XDA II allows that GPS HOLUX GR. 230 find com 5, and the GPS Viewer obtains to see the data of GR. 230, To put the PwerLOC Destinator does not obtain to communicate itself with port 5, nor using Pocket Bluetooth Tools, in these versions of ROM the Pocket Bluetooth Tools freez in com 7. The only way to use the PwerLOC Destinator and with 1,03,00 ROM and the Pocket Bluetooth Tools, :twisted: :idea: this way I do not obtain to use upgrade ROM.
Somebody has some suggestion?

My Qtek S100 works fine with TTN 3 but i can't connect with TTN 5.
The voice sound of TTN 5 is no clear, too.
Can anybody help?
I haven't used TTN at all.. but as far as I know.. TTV 5 works with the latest ROM 1.12
I hope someone else could give you more info

I'm running TTM 5 fine on my MDA compact. Didn't have any problems.

I believe that uses COM5. If you look at this thread:

it has a download link for a TT5 patch to enable the PDA to see COM 5 so it should then work.

I have Qtek S100 bought to optimus, now with Rom 1.12 in portuguese and it worked well with TTN 3 and now works well with the buggy version, I think it's a Beta version of TTN5. My GPS is also an Emtac so I don't know why yours doesen't work

my gps doesn't work.... tomtom6 works, but it says "pas de peripherique gps" (no GPS hardware)....
i tried all toms that can be found in this forum, but withour result

Try setting tomtom to internal GPS not to other NMEA.
I have also tried internal GPS... but it still doesn't work
whan I set other NMEA and com4, the right side led, strat flashing orange. so i this the softxare is good, and so my probleme is hardware
Ihave aslo try IGO8 GPS... and the result is the same.
well... my GPS works, but only with my original Orange ROM... i try it with Guigou's rom and poldo's rom, and it doesn't work.
the orange led is flashing like it should, but software (Igo or tomtom) are not able to found gps hardware...
I thinks a driver is missing in those ROM. or the driver is wrong, regarding to my Orange mobile
any idea?

I download Advanced Configuration Tools v2.0.2.0, and GPS is not listed (with Guigou's rom).
I must try with Poldo's, but I don't have it a this time.

no idea same problem !!! but IGO 8 does work with ORANGE rom ? tomtom does but what about IGO ???

Hardware port: COM2
Transmission speed: 115200
After this, select "Internal GPS" in your navigation software.

doesn't work....
the only way is using the original ornage rom at the time.
I extract oem and sys folder of my original orange rom, and in OEM/OperatorPKG, their is "HtcGpsUpdate_with_MUI.cab".... what is it? maybe this cab is a "driver" for the internal gps of an Orange Pharos (maybe their is a diferent hardware)

do this cab makes GPS working with a different rom than orange
I try the cab with poldo's rom and IGO8.... still doesn't work with my pharos from orange....
H i i've got the same problem . I have changed the Rom and my GPS isnot working , neither with Miomap neither TOMTOM.

Problem is solver for me and maybe for some of You too. I'm using Miomap and TomTom so far I have managed to use it on Miomap.
The devil is in details.
In windows: Go to Setting -> Connections -> External GPS
Hardware : com4
Software : com2
Freq : 4800
Last Tab must be ticked.
Next -> goto Your navigation program - settings -> GPS Setting and make the same configuration ( using NMEA). GPS in automatic configuration won't be found but if You set it on manually it WILL work. Leave -> restart and Use it

I Have a iMate PDA-N It is the GALAXY Model Of HTC But There isn't any important note there about it such as : ROM-Update - HardSPL - ...
My Question :
It's OS Is Windows Mobile 5.0 And it haven't any Setting For GPS Like GPS Port changer and ... (But the Help Guide Me To Start>Setting>System>GPS but there isn't that choise )
Now I Installed The GARMIN GPS 5.0 On My PDA-N And Fully Cracked It now there is no signal .
note : in Garmin GPS The Port Saved On COM4 : GPS ON COM4 now Please Help me to running GPS truly )
