You would need to do a lot of modifications therefore
Serious now: Charmer just supports SD Card.

???
Can you tell me please?

the size diff is huge!

it would require an external device to fit the CF card

4GB Mini SD strange behaviour

HI all,
I am using a 4GB Mini SD, not SDHC ones, and it happens that my X7500 doesn't read it properly, I mean that it recognizes it but it reads it as full while it isn't so and I can't access to the folder and run applications installed on it either. To have a correct reading of the card, I have to remove and insert it from its slot.
What could it depend from? Any suggestion to solve the problem...considering I tried a format card from pc and ppc both?
THX so much for you help!
Any suggestion?

I've managed to copy a ROM from a working Alpine to a bricked one by SD Card. But the image filled the whole of the 512Mb card and the tools used to extract, cook and rewrite the image to the SD Card with a different ROM don't work because Alpine has a nonstandard password locking us out the ROMS.

Then it should work. What happens when you insert the memory card? Did you look in file explorer?
yes i searched it with file explorer and from memory at system settings. it wasn't visible at all. same as if there were no card inserted
wtf sorry you people for asking stupid...... a little bit of a soft boot did the trick.. i'll just roll out to thru the backdoor and go beat my self
Lol, glad you got it working .

S200 - SD card reader not work!!

My s200 without warning not read any SD card...the PDA not finds the card!
I have tested it in many ways, I have installed many ROM, and finally the original WM5 ROM, but this problem remains.
Anyone have any idea for repair it, or any test?
tnx in advance.
Hello.
I had that problem too.
Try to Blow hard to the SD Slot.
It worked witm me.
If The problem remains could be hardware problem.
Sorry for my English!

do you mean that WM6.1 cannot read the 2GB SD Card, and only WM6 can read?
If yes, then I will use the WM6 ROM, which is the best ROM?
Thank you.

mmm....WM6 and WM6.1 can read the 2gb card...
have you try to format the SD from the PDA?
or you can try to format the SD from the pc (you must use FAT32, i think...)

I have the same problem. I've tried many applications that mange storage cards and in the Memory Definitions - Memory Card . it just appears "Not Installed".
Is it hardware problem??What can i do to find if it's hardware problem?

I don't really think its a hardware problem I think your device does not support the type of SD card you have remember not every SD card will work you need to find one that works on your device check out your manural am sure that can help. Also the brand and size matter aswell

Well sorry could be a Hardware problem then did you try a Different ROM? maybe al try it and report back my findings but dont wait lol it will take some time and SanDisk is what I use it's supported I use 512MB by the way al try my friends 2 GB and tell you ok but I guess our Prophets just dont support 2GB I guess
In a Portuguese forum, there's some guys who have Prophet and have 2gb storage cards.. So i guess it's really a hardware problem..Or maybe it's the card that it's not right formated.. Dunno.. in th mean while, i'll want for your check up lyndel4
Thanks,

Im with the same problem, my SPV M600 work fine for sometime with my Kingston SD 2gb, and suddenly it doesn't work more. I trayed many ways to have it working, but i guess this a hardware problem yet.
I dont know what i do. ;/
EDIT:
I had this problem repaired changing the card's brand, I'm using now Apacer http://emea.apacer.com/en/products/Secure_Digital_Card.htm
The Prophet only read's SD card's, not SDhc card's
I have a 4 GB SD card bought here:
http://www.cnmemory.de/seite_71ger-0-a0.html
It work 100%
Best Regard's
Hi
I got my Prophet for 20€, because the Ccrdreader should'nt work any more. I took a needle and carefully pulled realy lof of dust flocks from the card reader. There was some dust collected over several years. Now the reader works again - juuhuu.
Same thing with my older charmer.
Try to get the dust from the slot - with thin needle , be carefully and dont berak or bend any pins inside.
I have the same problem, work fine sd card but sundly not work good ... sometimes read other no
i have test others roms and sd cards and problem exist ....

Flashing with SD Card

Hey guys!
I have a question about flashing with SD-Card:
Do I have to use 1GB/2GB Cards which are none "SDHC" cards?
Or does our Blackstone support High Capacitiy in Bootloader Mode?
greetz
playdo
I flashed mine using the 8GB card that came with the phone. I would of thought as long as the phone can read the memory card you'll be able to flash from it.
Ok, if you did it with the 8GB card then it should work. Thanks

That's wrong, as far as I know. My old device was a Hermes which I could NOT flash with SDHC cards. But it was also able to read SDHC cards like my 4GB SDHC card.
That's why I asked
i tried with 2 different 8gb cards one of which came with the phone and both didnt work ,
but my 2gb and 16gb both work

I can confirm this too - and I nearly always flash my HTC's from the card.
But you need make sure that card is first formatted to the correct FAT (cant remember which now, its in the Wiki), and obviously that the phone can see the card. Then all should work fine!
