HW 6915 and Google Maps - Sable

Hi,
Does anyone reached to have Google Maps on their HW6915. Google Maps is not able to find the GPS for me. The only parameter in Google Map that you can change is the com port but the GPS is internal so I do not know what to put.
To have TOMTOM 6 working I edited the registry like bellow. Is it the probem?
Thanks for your help,
Chris
>HKEY_LOCAL MACHINE
>System
>CurrentControlSet
>GPS Intermediate Driver : change the key for IsEnabled from 1 to 0.

internal GPS is located on
COM port : 7
Baud rate : 57600
Hope that helps.

Perfect,
Thanks
Chris

test my softs for HTC devices

Hello,
I develop a module GPS under pocket pc to display sentences NMEA.
The objective is to validate my module for the devices HTC
or it can have bug...
This soft is very simple.
Select COM GPS and RATE GPS your device and press TEST.
the soft open port COM serial and read data.
if the sentences NMEA display it's OK !
else i would like to understand why...
If you want to do a test on your device, thanks please tell me the result
(device, port com, rate , and test ok or not) !
link cab file :
http://rapidshare.com/files/89376324/GPS.CAB.html
??? can anyone ?
Downloading now. Give me a few minutes.
Doesn't seem to work on my XV6800.
I installed to main memory.
I tried with Google Maps on and locked to 6 satellites and with it off. I was set to Com 4 and a baud of 4800. No NMEA shown and lock = no. Left on until the device turned itself off.
My devices GPS need a prime for other software to work (TomTom, etc) but works great with Google Maps.
Another little thing you might think to fix. The text in the selection boxes is huge. Need to move down a few font sizes.
Let me know if I can do anything else.
thanks blazingwolf !

iGO8: best GPS settings for Athena?

Hello,
I'm quite disappointed after changing my GPS software from TomTom to iGO8; with eaglesteve's GPS settings it took appr. 20 secs to achieve a satellite lock with TomTom, with iGO it's always 1-2 min.
I'm currently using hw port 5 and 57600 baud for communication - also entered in sys.txt - as these are the settings iGO8 will auto-detect.
Does anyone have additional info? What about those sys.txt entries
source="nmea"
disable_advanced=0
Nav N Go didn't provide any info on that.
Thanks in advance

Navigon MN7 + GNS TMC

Hi guys,
got my TP2 3 weeks ago and it works great!
Among some tweaks I found here I use MN7.3.4 with the "GNS FM9 BT-N" Bluetooth TMC receiver. I configured it as shown here:
- paired at COM 2
within Navigon:
- GPS with external TMC
- GPS-Port 4
- GPS Baud rate 115200
- TMC Port 2
- TMC Baud rate 57600
This works out perfectly. And already saved me some time
But one thing is really annoying me. Every time I start MN7 outside my car the windows mobile bluetooth service is asking every 5 sec to start my bluetooth. After doing this, it repeatingly asks me to which device I want to connect to. But there can't be any device outside my car. Any chance to change this behaviour?
I used google, the xda-developer wiki and forum search; am I the only one with this problem?
regards
This Problem http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=535835 ?
I have no solution found.
Yes, thats the same message. But I can click it away. Nevertheless it reappears after exactly 5 sec.
Workaround for annoying bluetooth dialog
Hi!
I had the same problem with my gns and navigon and I did a quick and dirty solution:
1. Copy the whole navigonfolder without the folder "MAP"on the storage-card and rename the copy with NavigonNoTMC or something like that. You loose about 40MB of storage on the card which is not too much.
2. Edit the file /[Storagecard in your language]/NavigonNoTMC/ApplicationSettingsPathes.xml
3. Replace all paths wich point to ./map with /[Storagecard in your language]/Navigon/map
4. Start MobileNavigator.exe from the folder /[Storagecard in your language]/NavigonNoTMC
5. Configure this copy of Navigon without TMC-Modul and save
6. Create a new shortcut in the startmenu to the MobileNavigator.exe from the folder /[Storagecard in your language]/NavigonNoTMC and rename it with NavigonNoTMC or sth. like that
-> Now you can start the fitting version of Navigon in the car with TMC and outside the other without TMC
I hope this helps for your problem - it did for me

Port and speed of internal GPS

Hi!
I'm trying to configure Destinator 8 to work with my Diamond2. I'm supposed to set the following settins (in GPSTMC.ini file of destinator). Can you please help me out?
Port=2 ???
BaduRate=4800 ???
Protocol=1 ??? (1=SiRF, 2=NMEA, ...???)
I use in Smartmaps port 4 , baudrate 57600 and it works well.
I use Igo with port 4, Baud rate 57600
I don't understand what's going on with mine. Is there any chance that External GPS settings (Programs>Settings>System) have anything to do with this?
No. Leave it default.
The settings are as mentioned, port 4 and baudrate 57600

He means leave the External GPS-settings as they are, dont touch. The GPS-applicationport should be COM4, hardwareport (or however its translated) should be "none", speed 4800. Leave it there.
Test these settings in your ini-file:
Port: 4
Baud: 57600
Protocol: 2
What error does Destinator give (if any)? If you experience any problems you could try to set the GPS-applicationport to something else, like COM8 and change the port to 8 in your ini-file.

No luck. The only error reported by destinator is 'GPS antenna not found' (free translation of the Greek message).
I had the same or similar error when I installed Amaze GPS. Couldn't get it to work, not even with win mobile manageing things. Other Apps works fine so I stick to Gmaps and Gnav.
you can use Igo, it automatically detects these settings. + download QuickGPS to get really really fast satellite connection
