WM6 Losting Radio Signal - MDA III, XDA III, PDA2k, 9090 ROM Development

Every time when I reset my BA, when the BA starts the signal is lost. If I open the Phone Settings/Network and I find for network a error message is showed. I need to do a hard reset to the signal back. I´m using WM6. If I upgrade my radio to the last version find here (1.15) this problem will be solved? I´m in Brazil using TIM. Tks,

you can try and tell us
which radio version do you use?

I´m using now 1.13.
I´ll try install radio 1.15 .
Tks,

Same problem...
Hi Daniel.. I have the same problem.
My radio version is 1.06 (yes...it's older...).
I live in Brazil too...
Sim, tambem sou brasileiro, meu chip é da claro.
Até agora tá um porre pra reconhecer o chip.
Migrei pra wm6 ontem e vou tentar a versao 1.50.
Qualquer coisa, é só falar, de repente podemos trocar umas figurinhas.
Abraço.

SX66 with the same problems in BRAZIL
I'm having this same problem in Brazil.
One interesting thing I found out is that when my SX66 is powered via cradle and I soft-reset it, it finds the TIM (1800 mhz) signal.
If I soft-reset using only the battery, it sometimes finds the signal, but most of the time it finds the VIVO (850 mhz) signal only.
I had the same problem with the WM5, so I was using WM3.
Regards.

I'm using Radio V.1.12
So far so good

I'm Live in Indonesia Bro

using 1.15 for long time now... but the problem is there...
sometimes the phone goes into searching.... mode and does not connect back to the network.
earlier switching off/on radio worked fine..
but with the comm manager ... i can switch off phone but can not turn it back...
have to perform a soft reset...

I am having the same problem too. Using 1.12 radio. Tried 1.13 and 1.15, there are bad.
Few times a day I still have the problem where phone cannot wake up to receive phone calls or failed to make outgoing calls.
I believe it is not the signal issue, something to do with phone apps to constantly wake up for calls.

Hi Brazilians members..
I'm brazilian too.. and i upgraded my BA to WM6 at last week.. my version of radio is 1.13.00 and my operator is Oi, and i'm not passing for this problem.
If I can help you... SCREAAAMM... rs,rs,
Bye

I've just screwed up my iPDA's radio stack by upgrading it to 4.21.00 (O2 upgrade). :?
I really need someone to help me getting out of this mess! Does anyone owns a Bouygues iPDA with the original radio stack ROM and who can gently pass it on?
Merci les Frenchies...
Hi,
You got problem with the 4.21.00 O2 upgrade ?
Why would you re-flash your XDA with the old originial Bouygues rom ?
Rather put a kitchened Rom from Jeff site (a WM2003 based rom or a 3.17.03 based rom as well)
It works great on my Bouygues Ipda ...
Frenchies a la rescousse

Thank U for your answer zendrui!
Yes I got a problem with the 4.21.00 RSU... I don't any signal at all...
My previous Radio version had a weird numering: R3... something instead of the usual "4.xx.xx"... Do you think there could be several hardware design of the iPDA?
By the way if someone has the original Bouygues RSU, please let me know!

You know what...
I found the solution to my problem by myself...!
For those who encountered the same issue:
1. Bootload the PDA (hold "On/Off" button and soft reset)
2. Enter the GSM module test menu by pushing the Calendar button
3. In the menu, select this sequence:
- GSM TURN ON
- GSM RESET
- GSM 900 / 1800
In fact the RSU upgrade will kind of resetup the GSM module (or turn it off), which is apparently not suitable for the French network. So one has to set the GSM module with the right parameters...
I guess this is applicable to other countries as well.
I am so happy!
Hey in the menu I noticed options "GSM 1900" along with "GSM 900" and "GSM 1800"... Do you think the XDA is actually TRI-BAND?
Well pleased for you if it works.
Personnally I put a WM2003 4.00.05 rom and it works well.
I also saved the original rom form bouygue if needed (but it is really a too old rom)

Help Me please

today i broke my mda, i upgrade mda Radio stack 3.07 to 6.25.02 so now my mda cant catch the signal. I am living in russia, if someone can help me, post the answer please thanks

You have allways to run USPL first (If you are not CID unlocked yet).
See here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=311403
Note: If you have a SDHC card, remove it before you flash.
If you want, share with us with your experience, for what is the best Radio ROM for you.
And vote in the Poll.
Cheers
Moderators, please move this topis to Artemis upgrade please...
Sorry for the mistake...
*MOD EDIT* Thread moved.
Well since today I'm using 03.18.90
Can't really tell at this moment which on is the best.
I'm with radio 03.18.90 at the moment. I only have it for two weeks, but i notice even less battery drain. For reception and all connections, all working perfectly. I'm very impressed.
I had before:
03.07.90 - I think it was good in GSM and battery drain. No probs at all
03.08.90 - Didn't liked it. Too mutch battery drain, but also good in reception
Cheers
Axpion
3.21
Using 3.21 very good. with 3.18 was having GSM problem. Regarding battery. seems normal, maybe better than 3.18
Hi all
I don't understand what is radio rom. Anyone can explain me what does it brings to Artemis, and how to update roms on SPV M650 ? Should I use USPL,
? does it implies hard reset ? Could I update the radio rom without uninstalling cooked rom ?
Thank you so much !

Yes, you have to use USPL before.
Radio ROM only upgrades the communications of you PDA. GSM, Wifi, Bluetooth... To better reception and less drain battery for example.
You don't need to Hardreset and you won't loose any data.
You can install Radio ROMs with any cooked ROM or any ROM installed.
Cheers,
Now I can see the light
Thank you
I have problem with upgrading radio rom. When run upgrading radio rom, my screen is white. My ROM is Touch Vanilla 4.02.

If you see the poll, most people prefer Artemis Radio 03.21.90, but we can't tell you wich one is better to your phone... You just need to flash and try them.
Read all posts and see what people say about wich one.

Hmm with the last 3 Radio ROM's the battery holds it only for 2 days. In a previous thread which I can not find anymore someone had something about a RadioRom which kept the battery working for 4 days....
Which one was that?
That allways deppends on the use that you give to your device...
Taking me has a example... Sometimes my battery lasts 6 days... Because i only made just a couple of phone calls and send/receive a couple of SMS.
It all deppends... Just try them all and see wich one is better for your use...
Cheers

Well I do not use my phone that much but it only will last for 2 day maximum
tested 03.21.90 and then 03.18.90
03.21.90 uses slightly more battery, so using 03.18.90 now
Dutch T-Mobile or BEN 03.06.90
The best radio rom for the Dutch T-Mobile network and also BEN is the 03.06.90. I changed my rom to many radio roms with Telfort network I had never any problem with losing contact with the network. Since I switched to BEN I have nothing else then problems. I checked the radio rom from the last release of T-Mobile NL and found that they use 03.06.90. I flashed my radio rom again and untill now 12hrs I have no problems anymore. Normally I had right away problems wihtin an hour. I hope this information is helpfull for somebody with the same problem!
I'm using 02.98.90 - average battery life is 3 days. If I don't use it at all and have no backups running at night it last for 5-6 days. Reception is good and haven't found any reason to upgrade.

Murata Radio ROM problem - sound mute

Hello,
I've just updated my polaris radio to Murata PPAS 1.58.21.23 two day ago, after that, i have strange problem, sometimes sound is totaly mute and only soft reset helps. Could it be because of Murata PPAS rom upgrade? No problems before with original radio rom.
Thanx. VicC
switched back to original Radio ROM and problem is almost gone... it happens not so often now... ;/ i hate this prob ;[
Problem so zvukom

Huge problem with my touch HD

hi people ....i got a huge problem with my Htc Touch HD ....i dont receive messages as i supposed to,and phone calls,i receive my msg-s after a 3-5 hours after the sending...and phone calls are saying that i am unavilable...that happens a lot...i first thinked that was a radio err but i reinstaled my radio and was the same thing...
ps: i am living in a city which is covered with all networks ...including hsdpa and all other ...PLEASE HELP ME IF YOU CAN...!
From wjat i understand it has to do with your radio version, which rom are you using and what is your currant radio version? I recomend you to use the Radio version 1.17.25.09
Radio 1.17.25.09
here you go...
Do Task 29
Install latest stock ROM i.e. Orange -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/Blackstone/Shipped_ROMs#WWE_-_World_Wide_English
Use for a day or two.
Flash custom ROM you normally use, but LEAVE radio 1.14
Try it for 2 days, then if you're not satisfied, flash radio 1.17
Why 1.14?
It's more power efficient, uses less power than 1.17
Why 1.17?
Has far better GPS and UMTS reception
thanks mate... great help you did... it's working just fine now... inace tek sad vidim da si iz hrvatske tako da mozemo na nasem jeziku...xD hvala brate...
Nice to hear it's working now, but for the sake of the others please write what did you exactly do.
Since this is international/world forum, let's stick with english...
i just downloaded rom radio version 1.17 and instaled on my blackstone, using a custom ruu....and uspl...i first flahed my phone, and then instaled a new radio...it's working just fine..... if you want a step by step manual read post's :
