hi
i have O2 Zinc, but am not able to flash it with any of Hermes or Wizard ROM's.
can anyone suggest me what exact ROM in need for it to put WM6

so what's the solution?

it is absolutely different device, with different CPU at 520MHz, if you flash any ROM from Hermes, you can for sure brick (make death) your device.
you asking for solution. 1st of all find compatible device, I mean the same device in other operator. like example this is names commonly used for hermes/tytn -
HTC TyTN / XDA trion / MDA Vario II / VPA Compact III / SPV M3100 / Dopod CHT 9000 / Dopod 838 Pro
there is big chance to change ROMs between those mentioned devices without any problems, because only difference is keyboard layout, or some HW changes like HSDPA support, camera and some minor details.

Well thanx for the update, am looking to flash it but on XDA forum i didn't found anything, even read on the forum that many people are like me looking for the same solution to flash Zinc but landup with nothing but the crappy O2 Firmware update. Can you advise anything with what to update it?

i used once o2 zinc.. thats my problem too..
its really different from HTC hermes.. i thought before its the same..
this forum teach me well...
then what i did is TRADE it to HTC hermes (DOPOD 838 pro )..
lucky for me..

My Zinc has upgraded to WM6. WM6 ROM runs smoothly (more than WM5), but it's seem to be slow down ... That I want to modify WM6 ROM or use others ROM !!! Pls help me ...

Please advice, if you have any solution!!

After dong a google search I have found this device is not actually made by HTC, so it is unlikely you will find many roms on this site for it... just be careful what you flash onto the device.. its the worst feeling in the world to brick your new toy... done this a couple of times myself...
I found the actual asus name is "Asus Mars II" so you may find more roms under this name... be careful tho.. just because it is the same type of device, it doesn't mean the rom will work..

When I update rom on active sync,some reason my pc shutdown.Then I turn my device on but my device's screen show:

Help Need Rom

I am looking for the same rom more than two mounth. There is no chance to find it. I am registrated user on Dangard Italy who is official provider for HTC product by TIM in Italy, and there is no possibility to download this Rom. We must waiting for wm6 to the end of this mounth. This is only solution for our problems.
Sorry, one more solution, to go in Italy and visit any HTC repair center. But.....I will waiting for wm6. Regards.

Please give to me a link to download this(1.14.408)version of ITA rom....I think that only one version (1.12.408) exist. But maybe I am not right.

Thanks for the hope, but I do the same thing like you....But I try one more thing: I put this file ("arteimg") in standard ruu utility (from official 1.12.405.1 wwe update)...and they go to 100%!!!(without on 3% say that is "invalid vendor id"), after that my devices is restart and in the uper right corner (bootloader mode) I can see words "RUU". When I do soft reset I can't see HTC logo, only bootloader mode (latter after one more reset I get same thing like before flashing, with the same screen like you)...but os not exist. I think that the file "arteimg" is not completed (usualy that file have about 79mb (1.12.405 wwe) but this file have only 58mb.

19839 is not official/leaked version - and maybe a fake build, and 19581 is the HTC diamond rom.

Please udK, give us a ITA version of this one. Look at bepe's ROM: 5 languages x 5 versions and he is full of donations

Fantastic news udK, thanks a mil!!! Your Vega rom is very fast and stable and it would be perfect if it wouldn't lack a few options that allows a user to customize the OS a bit more (like pdaviet's roms). If u can please include in this release the speed and stability of the Vega with some good customisation options, would be awesome!
Also, if u can please ensure compatibility with Garmin Mobile XT 4.20.50 (this latest version is running on all built in htc gps enabled chips but has incompatibilities with some cooked roms) I'm running GM XT on a WM6.1 19900 build and I'm very happy with it, especially because now I can load TOPO maps on. I must say garmin is way better than tomtom on road and way out of tomtom's league off-road.
PS:I know many ppl have probs with Radio v1.64.08.21 and had to load murata which sometimes didn't fix the probs, so I've got 2 questions:
1. What radio would u recommend for the Diamond rom?
2. What major advantages a radio upgrade would bring anyway thats worth risking the upgrade & the possible problems? (I'm running on 1.70 OliNex)

flashed your rom and it is working so far
it is stable and very fast, it is faster than wm6.5.5 and touch sensitivity seems better, but maybe it just seems to be better
but anyway thanks for this rom because i like the old wm6.1
highly appreciate your work and hope development goes on for wm6.1

yes,the radio version is 5005.1600.05
i don't know whether fixed or not..
this rom using official 6.5 drivers,i think it's same as UK 6.5
