iPAQ 6915 turnoff problem - Sable

I am a new user of HP iPAQ6915, however, i do not know how to turnoff the device, please anybody can help me solve it? does the device provide the turnoff function? Thank you

you can turn it off by pressing the power button but it is in stendby mode
the device needs it for the time,tasks...
if you want to shutoff the device
turnoff the device and then take the battery out for 2 sec,now you can return it back & the device is off

Qtek S200 Lock state blocked

HI,
My QTEK S200 enter lock state without possibility of awaking it (no power button, & no touch screen), while still running ....
Must soft reset it ...
Please, let me know about some solution .... Perhaps through registry?
Are you talking about the device lock plugin on the today screen? If so you should be able to unlock the device with the left softkey only.

Have you set a password or PIN for unlocking the phone? This sometimes causes the phone to refuse to unlock with a black screen. One fix that solves this for some phones is to set the backlight timeout to the same value as the standby timeout.

atom life - phone button

i have this problem with my atom life. not like my previous xda IIi, phone button (answer and reject) could not work when atom life is turned off. in xda IIi, i could press answer phone button and it will automatically turn on the device and its phone's keypad. but it is not the case with atom life. is it normal? or my device has some problem? any way to fix it? tks for helping me
Hi,
No problem with my AtomLife. When my device is off in standby mode and incoming call automatic wake up my device.
i think you have misunderstood my question. mine also do not have problem when there is incoming call. what i mean is that we need to turn on the device first when we want to make phone call. in xda IIi, there is "button lock" in the setting where you can select whether you want to make any button on the device to turn on the device. i hope it is clear now. tks
IC,
XDAII have something like press any button to wakeup the device. I didn't see anything like this in Atom Life.
you're right. anyway to fix this? it's much more convinient when we can just press one button on the front face of the device (especially when you have your atom life in the leather case) to turn on the device rather than have to press the power button on the top of the device.
It is normal... Mine also like that... when turned off, you need to press on/off key to wake it up...
but i think this is a good idea to prevent the phone accidentally pressed while we put it inside a pocket or bag...

how to turn off stand by mode in tytn

Ask a mod to move this thread to the Hermes forum maybe?
You are more likely to either find the answer or get an answer in there.

My screen wont stay turned on!!!

Hi All...
I would like to set any program (each one i want...) not to switch off following the normal settings of my pocket pc...
Example:
When you start Tom Tom, your screen remains turned on, even if you set 1,2,3... minutes after then your screen must normally switch off...
So, i'd like a solution to set any program like TomTom and make my screen stay turned on untill i close that program.
Please can anybody help me???
I'll waiting for your solutions...
Thank you in advance!!!
Setting -> power -> advanced
and in TomTom -> Backlight on never
???
I didnt understand what you mean... The way you suggest doesnt make choose which program make my screen stay switched on or not bypassing the "normal" power settings...
I'd like to set any program (TomTom do the same thing by default!!!) deciding which one can bypass the power settings remaining with the light screen on!!!
But not all program, just the one i decide!!!
So.... i can i set my pocket pc to do this??? And how TomTom works doing this by default???
HEY?!?!
............ Really???
No one can help me??? What the...
I still waiting...
Pleeeaseeeeee!!!!!!!
No one... No one.....

Hardreset and try, if not reflash ROM
Good luck,
Hard Reset I tried earlier but did´nt work.
You do realise the SPV doesn't actually 'switch off' ?
Your power button will merely switch the display off and send the unit into sleep mode. If you want it 'off' you'll need to pull the battery and put it back in. The unit won't power up again until you press the power button.
Sometimes my screen goes blank, other times I can still see the text etc.
I started to use a shutdown exe from my Wizard. It seems to do a better job.
At least, when my Uni is connected to Windows Mobile Device Center, I hit the power button and the backlight goes off, WMDC stays connected. If I use the Wizard's exe it disconnects.
Attached for you to try anyway.
Thanks
If I understund right, this PDA can turn off only with removing battery thats stranger
I've never understood the reasoning behind it either. I suppose you have to consider that it was probably always intended for people to use these as their main phone (I don't - never have) and most people never turn their phones off. I know my main phone is never off. Still, it DOES have the option to turn it off if need be, whereas the SPV only has a sleep and flight mode.
Did you try the exe?
