Speakerphone sound - Wing, P4350 General

I have an odd question why is speakerphone on phone calls so crunchy sounding and music so clear? Same speaker isn't it?

Most logical is the radio signal quality (even with 100% signal strength)
i guess

If you check the wiki of the Universal you will find a registry edit that will allow you to edit the properties of the speakerphone. After some trial and error you should be able to find a setting that makes it easier to listen to people with the speakerphone.

Must SKYPE be on speakerphone at all times?

I notice with skype (running OMAP at 240) when i make calls it is on speaker phone....any way to have sound come out of the earpiece, or toggle between it and speaker phone when i dont have headset in?
thanks...
stumped..
anybody aware of it?
I also want to know this as well..
Regardless of which entity is responsible for this not being implemented, the absence of small yet important features such as this are what make the entire Pocket PC platform seem juvenile at times
I downloaded skype v2 for wm5 yesterday, and it actually works on the wizard... HOORAY!!! download the version for the universal
and YES... it works with the headphones, otherwise sound goes to the external speaker
The new imate rom comes with skype 1.1 and it worked....but more as a technology demo... completely unusable unless you wanted to reset every other minute to get your contacts back... memory hog yadayadayada.

so its an issue....
that skype forum proves no help, no responses! hah
it is not an issue. it is how things work. there is not way to fix it. The normal phone speaker is hardwired to the gsm radio. there is no way to get any audio that does not come off of a GSM phone call to go to that speaker.
u ever used speakerphone with gsm?
So even though your GSM calls can be routed to the external speakers, the audio port or even a bluetooth device which uses the handsfree profile, you're telling me there's no possible way to route audio into the internal handset speaker. Do you know this for a fact or are you just making assumptions based on limited knowledge of these devices?
this isn't about speakerphones and such, as you're telling the audio signal to go to different places. what eguess is saying is that the little speaker we hear from isn't connected to a simple audio solder, but straight to the radio. and that radio doesn't get input audio from anywhere else but the radio itself. get it now?

So i was just wondering with skype work with a bluetooth headset? Thanks
not true. i could listen music in the built in earpeice once before while on the phone. it doesn't seem to work now. idk weird.
i could also listen to music on the included headset before while on the phone but it doesn't seem to work anymore.
so i don't think its hardwired. it must be in the registry somewhere enabling/disabling internal earpeice.

Well, not everything is in the registry either. Ok, why does Opera for PPC leave extra spaces? Absolutely ridiculous.

Motarola S9 Headset Only Plays in One Ear During Phone Calls!

I just got these really cool new headphones. The sound quality is great. The volume is nice and loud and they dont look like Mickey Mouse ears (ala the HT820), The one very BIG issue I have with them is that when I am making a phone calls only the left ear works!
Is there some way to get this thing to play in both ears. This is such a great device but the fact that it only plays in one ear makes it unusable for me as I work in a very loud environment and need it to play in both ears!
Any Ideas?
I just got off of the phone with Motorola. Apparently when the device receives a mono sound like a phone call it only plays the sound in one ear.
What we need is a way to trick the device into thinking that it is getting a stereo sound when making voice calls. Is there a way to do this?
Same problem here (left earphone only telephone calls). I hope that one of the gurus of the forum will come up with a solution. Are you using any of the registry tweaks or patches, and if so which ones? Thanks a lot.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!
I am using a stereo bluetooth headset from Sony Ericsson, and It doesn't have your problem, when I click "turn hands-free on", both ear pieces works although it's mono sound.
But I have a question to ask, which media/MP3 player do you use to listen stereo bluetooth? I checked around Windows Media Player menu and it doesn't have a function like "switch to headset". I don't know how to link the audio to my bluetooth stereo headset for listening MP3.
Can anyone help me??
You need to enable Joint Stereo audio instead of Mono. I think you can do this in the most recent LVSW release (in the HTCtweakUI), and it can be done on any phone with a simple registry hack. Just search the forums and wiki for "joint stereo" and you should come up with something.
1. Navigate to "LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Microsoft/Bluetooth/A2DP/Settings" in the registry.
2. Use Joint Stereo to 0.
This change did not fix the problem. When I try and make a call its makes a LOUD beep in both ears then starts to play from just the left ear.
There has to be a way to make the headset think that it is getting stereo sound during voice calls.
RTFM the manual clearly states that during headset use the left ear is mono
that would because the right ear is the mic.

This makes sense. Even if the mic embedded in the right earphone is a separate unit, sound coming from an adjascent earphone would have sent some feed-back to the mike. If it is the situation then there is no hope for us I guess. In any case, instead of a microphone extending towards my mouth or dangling on a cord I much prefer this configuration. Especially when riding my motorcycle it works great in the helmet.
Hi all,
well Im also a user of the S9 und must say the music sound is fantastic, but the mono call audio is just not good enough... Did anyone come a cross a way to make that stereo too or is there a way to increase the volume ?
Otherwise: does anyone now a better in ear round the neck device that does stereo on calls ?
Generally I very much like the fit of the S9 and that its slim an not bulky round the neck
Greetings
Paddy

Speakerphone control.

Is there a way to route sounds to the speakerphone insead of stereo speakers?
Not only during a voice call as already could be done, but also just send any kind of audio to the speaker which could be music or whatever PCM audio.
This pragmatically if possible.
Thanks.
Anyone? this should be pretty simple...

make skype audio go through front speaker on vogue

is there hack or any way to make the audio from skype go through front speaker on vogue
Front speaker??Am I missing something,what front speaker?
i think he means the ear piece, i guess right now its going through the speaker phone
headset works
Not sure if this has been covered here or not but here it is on another forum on xda:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3153030&postcount=61
Start tivi, then run skype. All sound comes from the front speaker, not the back. Make sure to turn off tivi when you're done with skype, as ALL sounds will be rerouted to the front speaker, not just voice calls.

Not for me it doesn't it will only go through the speaker and I cannot find anyway to get it to go to my bluetooth headset. Is your headset bluetooth or is it wired?
I've been able to use my Jabra 8040 (mono earpiece, but A2DP-compliant) headset with Skype just fine . . . whenever my connection's decent enough anyway.

Skype speaker help

Just tried skype ver 3.0
The sound comes out the speakerphone speaker and not the earpiece. Is there a way to correct that?
I remember seeing a post not too long ago with a fix for this but I can't find it anywhere now...
Thanks!
T
I suggest you use Nimbuzz, you can make Skype calls with it and you can choose the sound output from the speakerphone speaker to the earpiece speaker, but by default it is set to the earpiece speaker.
unfortuatly nimbuzz doesnt support skype anymore.. any other solution
