I have a Mogul and I want to change the default error sound and I cannot find where in the registry the sounds that are not available to change through the GUI are located.

How do I change the Today/Taskbar menu to bold(Default)?
I've installed some software that I need but it changes the Start Menu/Softkey font to non bold.
Does anyone know which registry setting I have to change?
Thanks

change touchHD volyme control from def. ring to system

as a frequent user of mp3 player i find the touchHD volyme most annoying, cause the default volyme by hardware keys are the ring volyme, and i want to raise and lower the system (music) volyme, so i made this simple regedit hack that will fix it.
start regedit in total commander for ex. than change to this value.
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\VolumeOverlay]
"DefaultPage"=dword:00000000
the original value is 1 if you want to change it back.

tp2 slider sound

does anyone no how to get the slider sound on my touch pro2
i think i do... :
on the homescreen.. go to the setting tab.. don't use that tab cuz it's **** but tap 'more' in lower left corner.. then you get all settings.. and then you must tap 'Personal'(it think.. in dutch it's called 'Persoonlijk') and there you have an icon about the slidersound where you can select one..
is this what you meant?
how do we get custom slider sounds?
my quick guess. Find the location those particular sound files are held, put the correct file type into that directory.
this is what i did on a stock tmo rom. create the sound files you want in .wav format. create one for in and one for out. rename them to whatever.xwav. open up a mobile reg editor on your pc. navigate to hkey_local_machine\software\htc\sliding sound. create a new reg key. under value data, name it whatever you want, preferably the name of your sound file , do not put the file extension. just name it like kbin1 or kbout1. now create a new string value for that key. under value data, you must name your sound file the same as your key. example,if i named the new regkey 4, in the new string, the value data would be 4_in.xwav. and the value name would be in. create a new string for the out sound and repeat the process.
sliding
i do believe the sliding sounds from the raphael work also. they have a couple of cabs over there. use the search
Why does it take so much freaking work to do simple changes? You would think adding custom slide sounds would be as simple as ploping the new sounds in a directory and selecting it!
Im not one to go mucking around in the registry myself.. guess ill have to do without.
dude just go to the settings tab in touch flo 3d, then click all settings then hit the personal tab and then hit the icon that says keyboard sliding sounds.
Anyone have any luck with this?
I am using the "transforming" sound from Transformers. I have it where I can at least hear it under the Keyboard Slide Sound settings if I select it and Preview it. But when actually opening/closing my keyboard, I dont hear the sound. Just a default quick beep sound.
* Nevermind. Needed to restart the phone. Now it works!
While it was nice to get it to work, now I get a cprog.exe error anytime I open or close the keyboard with my custom sound activated. Damn it. Why cant things just work!
Hi,
To my opinion (that's what I did), I have placed all my sounds on my storage card (mp3 files) then transformed them in .wav (in the Windows folder) and re-transformed them in .wma files (placed in the Windows/Rings folder).
This way all the sounds I have are available whichever soft or event I nedd them for...
Hope it will help you.

Click to collapse
Thanks for this useful info. I used a desktop reg editor to navigate to the hive you specified, created key 5 and copied the contents of key 4 to it making the relevant changes to file names and names. Cracking job.
Where can I get "transforming" or other cool Slide sounds?
Can any one upload dem?

Problem: the screen doesn't lights up when i receive a text message! Pls help!

when i receive a message its just play the sound... i have made some setting but i think its somewhere in regirsty... could any one help?
Set the DisableSMSWakeUpEvent to 0. You can find it in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL .
With registry Editor:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL]
"DisableSMSWakeUpEvent"=dword:00000000
thanx, now its working.
I cannot change the value, it says Access is Denied. I am using Mobile Registry Editor.
Hmmm, strange....try with this editor....if not works we can try via desktop.....
Frank, the file is not complete. I don't see an executable. I have previously used Mobile Registry Editor to change my SMS thread to the classic style and other small settings. I don't understand why it doesn't want to accept changes.
I tried changing some values of other strings to see if the problem was with the registry editor but then I could change some, like this one:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Settings\SMSNoSentMsg
but I can't change the value of, DisableSMSWakeUpEvent.
Sorry about my dumbness. Frank, I did not realize I had to install the cab file in my mobile. I changed the value successfully.
Thanks a lot for the help.

sound check
