MS Voice Command and x7501 - Advantage X7500, MDA Ameo General

Has anyone gotten the Voice Commnad 1.6 to initiate commands from the bluetooth headset with the x7501?
using the shipped wm6.

you need to edit the registry
hklm\software\oem\voicecommand\
change the path

I can use VoiceCommand 1.6 with my Jawbone and my LG Style-I without any registry changes. I just press the Send button as indicated in the manual for the BT device, here the VoiceCommand prompt, issue the command, and it executes. The process is the same as with no headset, except that I am pressing a button on the headset rather than on the x7500. I have an x7500 with WM6 and the x7501 ROM after using Olipro's SuperCID utility. You might want to take a look at Jetware extensions, which I learned about in this forum, though I don't believe that is necessary for VoiceCommand to work through a BT headset. Hope this helps.

Yes, there's a version 1.6 for the UK on Handango. It's been out for a while now and I've been using it.

Looks like all I had to do was to soft reset.
It started working after I did a softreset.
I hard reset and reinstalled it just to be certain. And sure enough it worked without having to modify the registry.

i have a little problem.....msvc 1.6 i dunno wat build but it works fine except theres no voice confirmation.anyone know how 2 fix this?thanx
edit:found the fix...i needed the latest cab found in the kaiser forum.

Did it turn on your Athena when you press the command button on your BT headset also? With the registry modification, the BT headset can turn on your Athena and listen to the voice command (Jabra BT8010)

Does this program require to record a voice tag per contact, or could you just call the name (like MS Voice Command)?

Wrong. We have this working long time ago under the Project VCABT http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=23558. We are free to use any program (MS VC,Cyberon VC, Cyberon VD, Fonix ...etc) and activate them by pressing the bluetooth headset button.

Hmm but if I remember correctly the VCABT-project meant some sort of workaround and/or changing settings/registry. With the Cyberon voicedialing-program, voicedialing-activation from bluetooth headset just works without any workaround, and works perfectly as well
xda mini + jabra bt250 headset. Works like a charm. Just press the button on the headset say the name and you are ready to go. And for the first time it actually picks up the voice through bluetooth headset. That's exactly what we were waiting for so long. Thanks so much
It also works with tomtom navigator simultaneously without any problems. Thanks again.
yes many thanks, work like a charm
Is it possible to unassign the record button to this program. With the button assingment on the settings page I can select whatever program I want, but it won't work because of this tool (which is really great.., only one disadvantage).
Is there a registry trick or something to have the record button reassigned to the program selected on the settings page?
Works like a charm
are there any plans for all sound to bletooth? (if the answer is yes can someone please post a link to it)
thanx
hi, it is a great program, but how can i stop a call? when i'm speaking if i press the button of the bluetooth it start a voice recognition again and it doesn't close the call.

Tried it on a 9100 and it works for me. Did you do a reset after you changed the settings? Also what apps are you running and I can do some work on it for you.

WM5 dialpad and smart dialler

I've got an XDA Mini, but installed using the corporate install - no O2 rubbish.
I used the registry hack to change the dialpad back to the original WM5 one, but now the smartdialler thing won't work. I've changed back to the O2 one and it works again.
Any suggestions to get smartdialler working with the WM5 dialpad?
Cheers.
The extended Rom contains additional configuration and registry settings as a CAB. I reset mine without the O2 stuff then ran Smartdialing_enable_0915_signed.CAB from the extended rom directory. Restart the device after that and you've got the smart dialler back (well thats how it worked for me anyway!).
Does not work. It is possible more in detail?
I think will not work!
I Have a T-Mobile MDA Vario, chnge registry too because don't like T-Mobile Dialer skin, and smartdialer not work anymore... same as bsterngillet.
Now I change ROM to Qtek and work dialer and smartdialer WM5 default... and is much light = speed!

When you say not working, do you mean the .CAB file is not there or that nothing happens when you run it?
If it isn't there I could post my copy to the internet but other than that I am only going on my experiences with UK ROM's I'm afraid! On another thread, user 'Plantagoo' has cleared up what the CAB files do more so it may be that your device does not have the smartdialler program (I'm just guessing here!).
Where to take Smart Dialing for Pocket PC ver. 2.2?

it is the MS VoiceCommand and with the BT Config 1.9f in one CAB.

Install then set bt 5 to MS VC, then go to prog and run BT Voice Config and set as the thread above says..then SR.
Thanks but that still does not fix it on my end for wm6 version. my 8525 doesnt even have button 5. only goes to 4. I set it to the comm manger buttin which was 4. Also what setting are you putting the vc at in under phone and then options?

I dont know if this will work if you actually use PTT button for PTT. I think you are out of luck.
You shouldn't have to use the PTT button to use VC1.6 - the only time I use the PTT button to trigger it is when I have it set to play audio files and I have the headset trigger disabled.
Instead of doing a soft reset, you have to Enable the BT Command and then POWER OFF and then back on. Otherwise the registry settings don't stick...

Hello there!
Is this an international version or just for english speaking? Does the WM6 mean it is for Windows Mobile 6? Is there a link to a german speaking version?
I know, many questions...

Where can i find Voice Command for WM5.
VC1.6 will work on WM5 or 6. VC1.5 only works on WM5.
As for languages, do a google search - handandgo.com sells VC, but not sure of languages beyond English and UK English

WM6.1 and Voice Speed Dial

Hi,
I have 2 Trinity's (from an auction) both with the same OS (WM 6.1).
On both I have installed Cybveron Voice Speed Dial 1.2. On one device it is working as aspected with a Bluetooth-Headset (voice dialing via headset). On the other device it's not working. Instead of starting the voice recognition the dialpad is shown.
I have found that there is no btagext.dll on the device that failed.
Unfortunately this file can't be copied (acces denied, I think because it's in ROM).
I have found some entries in this forum and others, but no download of btagext.dll.
For testing I have installed MS Voice Commander, but it's the same behaviour (dialpad is shown).
Now my questions:
- Can btagext.dll be the problem ? If yes, where can I download it ?
- Can anyone explain which 'modules' are involved in processing the voice dial via headset ?
Thanks
I had the same problem. Uninstall the Cyberon version you have, and try to install Cyberon Voice Speed Dialer v1.2_build_61226. After that you must repair the settings for hardware buttons, because this version mess them up. Worked for me.

This is the version I have installed. Settings for hardware buttons are ok.
Because it's the same with MS Voice Commander, I think it's not the Voice Speed Dialer.
Thanks
