Hey man, can you get one CID Unlock?

1. Execute this app.
2. Insert the HTC customized key card into SD card reader and assign the SD Drive to this app.
This key card should be customized by HTC before. It should contain following files:
a. excadiag.nbh / Artediag.nbh --> The signed NBH file of CST diagnostic image.
b. diagdata.dat --> The encrypted RSA key file.
3. Import an IMEI list and assigned an output file path for IMEI/Unlock code mappingg.
4. Input the MCCMNC code which will be assigned into those devices.
5. Press the "Generate SD Card" button to generate configuration file into SD card.
After this process, you will find a cstdata.dat file into the key card. And you can also find
an IMEI/Unlock code mapping table into the path that you assigned before.
You may insert the key card in the HTC device which you want to enable SIM lock in power off status. Enter bootloader mode. The key card will automatically start to enable SIM lock mechanism ,

ok, i took a serious look on that tool, and i am blocked at 4th step. i have to input my MCCMNC but i dont know what it is. it searche on google and find mine:
mcc = mobile country code. i'm from france so my mcc is 208.
mnc = mobile network code. mine is orange: maybe 01 or 03, dunno.
etc
can som1 would be more precise about this point plz?

Table of MCC and MNC Codes

nice. usefull.
i'll try again.

doesn't work. every time i "generate SD card" the unlock code is different. so... it sucks...

I think yor are right !!! It does not work.
Every time i generate SD card i got another unlock code.
An when i set ppc in bootloader mode to unlock nothing happens!!!

it seems like inserting the memory card with the files really is not necessary. as far as i am concerned, i just take a look on my output file to pick up the unlock code after the sd card is generated.
but as said before, the curious thing is that it always generates a different unlock code.
wtf?

What if you run the memory card with bootloader first and it creates a file on the card? Just an idea.
I would try it, but I can not get bootloader to work, it just goes to a multi-coloured screen!

did anybody get this to work?

it doesn't work like this.
try the tool and you'll understand.
http://www.mezimages.com/up/07/377588-376946-Image1.jpg

doesn't work, too bad
I also tried it and yes, it randomly generates unlock codes. and no, putting it into bootloader (record button + soft reset) doesn't do anything. it only says reading content from usb card, but it doesn't unlock it! when i put in another sim, i get an unlock screen after putting in my pin, and then when i try the unlock code provided by the unlocker, it fails.
so, the unlocker did not work for me but i might be doing something wrong... as for now, thanx for the effort of putting it up online, but we will have to wait for another solution.

Maybe try cstdata.dat as unlockfile for the software used by imei-check?
Don't know if that's gonna work cause I don't know what the unlockfile imei-check gives you looks like.

BTW, would win 98 or xp cause any problem in the installation process?
Thanks again,
OS not detected in the log doesnt appear to be a big deal. XP works fine with the SD card bootloader method with ppc2003
Dear Val,
You're my life savior, thanks again, I'll inform you what happens (hope it'll work fine, bty, I don't mind having another SD card erasure, if it is once and for all).
Are you native Thai? Your English is fantastic. I have a few Thai friends who would be very envious. Good Luck.
Hi Jeff, great job, any way you could post/email instructions about how to get our own kitchens up and running?

Yeah, but I was raised up in Oxford, UK (Looonnggg Time ago). Cheers
BTY, Val, if I choose not to install the Jeff's romkitchen through bootloader method, but rather through the .exe using my window xp, do you think it's OK? (the truth is I don't have a card reader and I'm running bootloader V5.17) I really don't want to make my like harder than it is now, so I prefer the rather-straight forward route. Thank you
You can install via .exe if you wish however if you want to downgrade your ROM you will need to use the bootloader method for best results. Bootloaders are cheap and worth every penny. In otherwords, get one soon! This will also help with backing up your ROM image which is very important in case you break something. Take Care.
Val, you are reaaaaallly responsive. Thanks again for your prompt reply. cheers.
thanks, i'm been by the computer most of today, going out to eat, back in a few hours.
Val, I guess your meal time equates my bed time, it's nearly 5 am now in Bangkok. Talk 2 you later. Thanks again
Dear Val and XDA Dev,
Just when I thought I could go to sleep, my SD card was erased again for the ......time (I lost my counting somewhere along 10s). Up to now, I do not know what causes it. BUT I DO KNOW how to check whether your SD Cards are secure from erasures. If you have the programme called "PHM Device Manager" just go to the Storage Port and check the Device ID under it. It is supposed to be pre-assigned and stay intact. If after a while of launching programs and/or soft-reseting the unit, the Device ID (SD Port ID) keeps numbering up, quickly lock your sd card before everything is erased.
If mates at XDA dev happen to know what causes changing of SD Port ID, please let me know. It looks to me as if the XDA is constantly examining the SD identification and each time it does, it recognizes the same SD card as different ones.
Please Advise, Thanks

Dear developers,
I have just also found out that the numbering up in Device ID (in Standard Disk Drive, DSK1) is 100% subject to how many times I have turned on/off the screen. Seems like the SD Card iteration is ignited each time the screen is turned off and on. ANyone, any clue to why?
on my xda currently @ dinner. Ken, I would get a card reader tomorrow and upgrade to Jeffs ROM asap. You cant downgrade right now for you upgraded via .exe. Can you get a card reader tomorrow?
Dear Val,
I'll manage to get the SD card Reader by tomorrow. Thousands of Thanks for your help
No Problem. Get the reader and we'll walk you through it. Keep in mind since you used the .exe to upgrade you will need to use the kitchen to save a rom that is based on ppc2002 if you want to go back. Talk you soon.
Please let us know the rom version etc that you have. If you already posted sorry for the double work on your part.
Dear Val,
My previous version was 3.17.03 radio stack (which is the same as now) was 4.21. The very version that one can download from o2 UK Website. I am not sure about the protocol version though.
One more thing, I've observed that all the ports (as shown in the PHM device manager programme-under "device by type" menu) have only entries in the Device ID, except for the DSK1 port that has both the Device ID and the Socket entries (the latter is set to 0 by default). Do you also use PHM device manager and if so, do you have identical settings.
Thanks in advance
good question. i have it installed but never looked at it. hold on...I dont have an entry in the ports section for a disk one. I only have:
serial cable on com1
serial cable on com2
serial on USB (com8)
serial port (com9)
I do have a standard disk drive (disk 1 under drives though. Hmmm. Any experts want to comment?
Dear Val, OOOPS it seems that I have misled you somehow. What I meant was the settings under the "Disk Drives"->"Standard Disk Drives (DSK1). I guess I must have messed things up with the port entry, sorry.
Time to get some sleep Ken. No problem at all. We are all here to help each other out. So it sound as though we have the same settings? Which type of SD Card do you have? I have a sandisk 256mb for normal use and a sandisk 64mb for flashing.
Dear Val, My device ID starts running up from 19 upto around 46 now. I guess your ID is intact, right? BTW, my SD Card is SanDisk 128Mb

Seek advice on NO BOOTLOAD Screen

My MDA was unable to get back to bootload after a unsuccessful ROM upgrading. Is it possible to replace the ROM (hardware) so that I can save my MDA?
I tried the Power on key and softreset to reset it but only return to a messive screen.
Pls help. Thanks
cris...
you dont need to replace the hardware rom!!
try runing the upgrade program again, it sometimes picks up where it left off. if that dont work, try the SD card method.
i'd go into more details, but all that info is here in these forums already.
if u still need help though, contact me, and i'll try to help you.
good luck
Dear Ntabikha,
Thanks v much!
However, I tried the upgrade program many times and the decktop just said the computer cannot recognise the device.
So, I think method 1 is not possible.
For method two, I will try to put the nk.nbf file into my SD card and put it in the device and see whether the MDA can pick up the ROM. Will let you know whether it is successful.
BTW, when the screen is on, it only appears some fuzzy horizontal lines and two small empty boxes, have you seen this before?
Chris
yes, i had the same fuzzy lines. i fixed That problem via the SD card method.
just remember that, you have to write the nbf file to SD card, not just copy it to SD card
dont laugh, i did that mistake at first
good luck
How can I "write" it to the card?
I thought I only copy the file to the card through a SD reader.
Well, I know now, use rom kitchen to cook the rom and use osimagetool to copy the nb1 file into a sd card.
All i need to do next is to insert into the MDA and press power button together with softreset key for several times until successful....
Dear ntabikha,
I am still unable to obtain the bootloading screen of my MDA after inserting the SD with nb1 file written by xdatool. I tried many times power button and soft reset simultaneously (more than 20times) and the screen are still full of messy lines and 2 big empty boxes.
Can you help please? What is the fix broken bootloader in the xdatool?
I really did search around the forum but still can't be able to get back the bootloader screen. Pls help.
Chris

I'm wondering if you could not see bootloading screen , how could you use SD card to restore OS and bootloader ?
No, there is no bootloading screen at all.
I took the MDA out to a repair shop and they said that is a hardware failure. And they don't have the stock to replace it.
But I don't believe that cause I was just downloading the OS. It shouldn't hurt the hardware that much.....

I fixed couple such phones "horizontal lines and two small empty boxes" due to failure upgrading (all flash ROM messed up).
You have to use hardware flash ROM writer to wire the flash ROM pin to write bootloader and CE directly to chip.
I can help you to fix the problem (I'm in Canada, my email is [email protected])
Hi, I have similar trouble. My boss upgrade his MDA TMO (Austria) to official TMO version of OS and now it coming only to splash screen. MDA doesn't sync through cradle, doesn't seems to be charged, and I cannot enter BOOT mode for flashing ROM from SD card.
Is there any chance to fix it by myself?
Thanx, Ivan

If you don't have a working OS and a working bootloader, the only solution is hardware solution. You have to wire the flash chip directly to the flash ROM writer ...

trying to Unlock Cingular 8125

Can some kind soul help me here?
I have bought a Cingular 8125, specifically because I read the various threads here and thought that I would be successful in unlocking it. Previously, I have been able to unlock, on my own, Treos and various Nokias.
I have downloaded machinagod’s unlocker (version 0.2b) and followed each step, but my phone stays locked (“network is locked”) and asks for the unlock code.
Here is what I have done: synch is up and running; I place the CAB file on the phone and execute successfully. I then execute BAT file and select U (in another attempt, I selected C), the DOS windows disappears and then nothing…. I have waited, and waited, thinking the unlock takes some time, but nothing happens... Looks like there is a missing step somewhere in the chain of events.
Yes I have read the thread started by machinagod, but it’s so huge and encompasses so many different flavors of the Wizard that I could not find helpful information. I am starting this thread hoping that I can focus on why this 8125 is not unlocking like so many other devices.
Please help me, I am stuck with a $400 paperweight!
when i unlocked my 8125 i used the lockwiz program
put the cab file on the phone, executed it from the phones file browser,
then opened the bat file on my computer, and first had to CARRIER UNLOCK, (c) i think, then unlock (u)
it resets your phone and stuff.
make sure no sim card is in
i did it to 4 differnt ones just like that, worked perfectly.
maybe try HARD RESETING Your device first, then trying to unlock it again with those instructions....
hard reset go to start menu, settings, system, clear storage,
or hold camera and pinhole
I must be dumb or something...
Thanks for the info, I tried again but nothing happens.
There is something I do not understand. Here is what I do:
(1) hard reset.
(2) Run EnableRapi.cab on device
(3) Execute batch file, type 'C'
(4) DOS prompt disapears
(5) Nothing happens.
(?) WTF????????
Questions:
(1) After I type 'C' what happens, usually? Do I have to sync manually?
(2) Is the programm doing something in the background? If yes, how long do I have to wait before I type 'U' ?
(3) Do I have to sync between steps?
(4) DO I have to use wizardunlock.exe?
(5) when does the phoen reset itself?
I am sooooooooo confounded?! Can you please post a step-by-step direction, including every single thing I have to do?
IM having the same problem too.
On a side note, I was able to update my 8125 to the new AKU2 rom without CID unluck
If you have AKU2 the sim unlock feature will not work. Its a known problem if you search for it since HTS has locked that portion of the memory. If you look closely you'll get an error like "ITDISKWRITE error" or something like that. As of right now there is no fix and even if you locked it prior to upgrading it will be locked if you put AKU2 on it. If you are a Cingular subscriber you can send an email containing your name, social, number and IMEI to [email protected] or call them and they'll give you the code *hopefully*.
I have gotten the unlock code for my 8125. But I have no idea how to enter it to permanently unlock my phone.
Anyone got any ideas?
figured it out
i was having the same prob i would run it and the dos window would disapear but guess what i figured it out....u have to remove all the files from the .zip file and put them on ur desktop then run the files it wont disapear and it will show you what its doing and work i've done it so that should help

This is the easiest way to flash!!!

This is how I've done it and it's my third rom in 5 days.
1. Format you micro SD to FAT32 using a USB card reader, not quick format preferably
2. Read CID from your SD with Qmat while connected with active sync
3. Get Gold Card using QMat with the CID obtained, you should have in 2 min
4. Write GoldCard image to SD using Write Image in Qmat, while connected using active sync
5. Run the stock ROM of your choice form your desktop and you're done!!!
WORKS LIKE CHARM
RKS LIKE A
MY HD2 - east european unbranded
PS you can flash both your regional rom or any other rom
...except that it's been said hundred of times in the stycky threads.

There's a difference between condensed and incomplete. The post doesn't even mention where to get QMAT, or were to apply for the actual goldcard. The least OP could've done was post a link to the sticky thread.
Aside from that, I would personally advise easily confused people to stay away from QMAT, especially if all they have is half a tutorial.
Thank you. Clear and simple. (Have to combine information from the sticky post

as well thought)
Will try it later on.
UPDATE
After trying unsuccessfully for more than two weeks to flash a different language ROM, and reading this post I have managed to flash the new 1.6x ROM in 5 minutes.
Notes
Used the same MicroSD card I have been using unsuccessfully the last two weeks, and the same goldgard I had for two weeks now.
The goldcard remains the same no matter how many times you format the SD, and immediately after the completion of the installation of the new ROM needs reformat. Can be reused as many times as we want I guess.
THANK YOU

New user dude?
It appears that we joined about the same time. It was meant to help the new people not annoy "know it all" people like you. It must have gotten to your head. Just remember you were a "new" once too.
Apparently i did something similar to your way, and it works. The way posted in the Guide is not working for many people, this might be a good option for those who are at the brink of giving up to flash their device to 1.61.
This works! I didn't even format my SD card! Thank you
does not work for me. I have tried all combination, all possible thing. still not working.
Hi wmfreak.
Worked first time and so easy. Was going to try the long winded hex editor etc way but this was much easier.
No format of SD card required either as stated above!
THANK YOU!
What i did...
1) Downloaded qmat from link at top of the page... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=591239
2) Downloaded getsdsn1_leo.zip from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=5169107&postcount=109
3) Installed qmat to PC
4) Extracted getdns_leo.zip with exe to desktop.
5) Ensure phone connected in sync mode (not drive mode) and ensure synced (with either activesync (win xp) or mobile device center (vista/win7)
6) Run exe from getdns on desktop whichs dump A txt file with CID to desktop.
7) Registered my CID and email as per top link on http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=591239
8) Recieved img file from register and saved to PC.
9) Ran Installed QMAT Program from Pc with Phone still synced to PC
10) In QMAT ran Menu >Hardware Forensics>WINCE SD Card Utils
11) Pressed button <Get SD Card Serial and Disk ID>
12) Once the ID was found I pressed button <Write ImageFile> in same dialog box.
13) Searched for my previously saved from email .img file called goldcard.img
14) BINGO! Gold IMG wrote successfully to card.
15) Downloaded 1.61 ROm from these forums and ran exe from rar from pc and off it went updated with no issue in normal rom update method!!!
P.S UK user with unlocked SIM phone.
UPDATE: Just relised u dont need the getdns_leo.zip - just run qmat to step 11 then register for the GOLDid and come back to qmat to write img!!
I too succesfully flashed to the TUR version from WWE West Europe version. I followed the guide on page 30 on the 1.61 WWE TUR thread, which essentialy is the same thing.
Thnx, I appreciate your post!

Hello, that is why I combined information from the sticky thread

Probably you have to
--a: install a regedit software on your Leo e.g. PHM regedit original PHM Site (offline at the moment)
--b: Run the regedit software
--c: Goto HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Policies\Policies
--d: Look for 00001001 double click it and change the setting from 2 to 1
--e: Reboot the HTC LEO
and from this thread
4. Write GoldCard image to SD using Write Image in Qmat, while connected using active sync
5. Run the stock ROM of your choice form your desktop and you're done!!!
This the the procedure that worked for me. (steps for obtaining a GoldCard not mentioned here).
Good Luck.

easy, using wp7 cab sender, just download the dev storage unlock cab, send it, and when your phone boots up, click on storage unlock app let it run and u should be good to go untill next reboot.
send to what and how?
since I don't know what rom you use, I can only guess. If you have XBmod-YukiXDA Back to the Future, you could use the unlock cab, just like tecle2595 wrote. But since you don't seem to be familiar with cab sending, etc., my next guess would be that you're using either HD2O's or any other DFT-like ROM, which doesn't support cab sending. You can try the following: Flash Back To the Future ROM and perform the relevant steps, see here. If you have that ROM, you have to read a bit how it works here. Didn't try it myself, so I can't help you with that. Otherwise, try Killdisk, see here and/or Panasonic SD Card Formatter, see here or, easiest, look if you have one of the devices listed here.
