Wizard WM5 (T Mobile MDA Vario) phone call audio/voice problems - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario General

I installed a few apps (including .Net Compact Framework) on my wizard and then uninstalled everything by: Settings\System\Clear Storage
Now when i get calls, i cant hear anything what the callers say.
Even worse, when i make calls i cant even hear the other phone ring!
I can hear only if i activate speaker....
There is no problem with the SIM card or the service provider.

MDA Vario: Odd call block problem

Hi,
I've got an MDA Vario that refuses to make or receive GSM calls, yet GPRS works fine. I've swapped SIM's, Flashed the firmware, and yet if I make a call I just the error tones, and if I ring the phone I get a message saying "This phone is unable to receive calls now".
Any thoughts on what I can try to fix it?
Thanks!
Steve

Help! Call logs are not being recorded on my Qtek

Hi,
For whatever reason couple of days ago my phone stopped showing any call logs (calls are coming in and getting out but call log screen say "No calls to display". Filter is set to "All calls" and still not calls are there.
What could be the reason?
I tried to uninstall eTen dialer but it's still the same problem.
I had this problem on my HTC Cingular 2125 Smartphone (not to be confused with 8125 Pocket PC) once. This phone runs the smartphone version of windows mobile 5. I didn't have any means of troubleshooting this since it's an internal Windows problem. I had to do a hard reset to fix it. I'm thinking this is probably your only choice as well.

M3100 cannot make outgoing calls

I've recently bought a SIM-free SPV M3100, however I cannot make outgoing calls using my old 2G SIM. The phone accepts incoming calls with no problem, and is able to send texts as normal. But whenever I try to make an outgoing call, it comes back with the "beep beep beep" network busy and call ended status. I've done soft and hard resets to no avail.
The phone works fine as I have tried my wife's Orange 3G sim and outgoing calls can be made okay. I've also tried my 2G SIM in my wife's M5000 and that works fine making outgoing calls okay.
I've spoken with Orange and they seem to think there shouldn't be a problem and that 2G SIMs are supported. They've reflashed my SIM but still no success.
Has anybody seen anything similar?
You can try, hardreset, then just after you setup your security stuff (eg screen where it ask you for the phone's PIN), perform a soft reset. This will prevent the EXTROM stuff to be installed. Just incase some of the settings there are messing your thing. Worth a try.
Thanks for the advice - tried that, but still no luck unfortunately

Can't make or receive calls, just get 3 beeps

The phone I have is a T-mobile MDA Compact that has been network unlocked.
The problem is that it is unable to make or receive normal calls. The symptoms vary across networks, with vodafone being the most functional. The symptoms are as follows.
----
Tesco Mobile SIM: - no service.
----
T-Mobile SIM: Connects to network and shows a signal, but no call functions work.
----
vodafone SIM (ASDA): Connects to network, shows a signal, can send and receive text messages, can make 999 calls.
Can't make or receive normal calls:
When trying to dial out the display goes from "dialing" to "call ended" and three quiet beeps can be heard, the dialed phone never rings.
If called from BT landline the caller simply hears "Error" and callers from other mobile phones hear a variety of different tones (engaged, beeps etc)
If the phone is switched off, the callers get the usual "the phone you are calling is not available" message.
------
The phone has a CheckMend certificate to show that it is not lost or stolen, and T-Mobile have confirmed that the IMEI is not barred on their network.
-----
While attempting to fix this:
I have reflashed the phone with several ROMs and updated the radio from 1.12 to 1.13, but the original problem remains unchanged.
I Have E-mailed HTC technical support with a description of the problem but as yet have had no reply.
If any one is able to shed any light on this I would be very grateful.
similar problem, but i can send or receive SMS, but when i try to call or answer after cca 10sec it cut the line and show a sign of searching for signal...
flashed new ROM, same problem, chanhge automatic to manual, same...
is it a software or hardware problem, i can try to open and clean a dust (in one service said that could be a problem) which cause a bad contact with internal antenna
hi, did you get this problem sorted? i have the same thing with my spv m700, cant believe its hardware though as all other functions ar great
thanks

MDA Vario 2 not calling or texting but doing everything else

I purchased an MDA Vario 2 off a 3rd party seller on Amazon just before christmas, when i put my T Mobile PAYG sim in it did everything except call and text, it can still connect to internet through wifi and gprs/3g and do everything else, just no calls or texts, when I try to call it from my landline I get 'calls to this number are currently not being connected'. When i try to call out, I get 'call ended' on 0:00 time when i try to text, it just wont send. I've done a hard reset, called T Mobile to check if it's blacklisted which it isn't, tried a different T Mobile sim and attempted to flash a ROM, I don't really know if it worked or not and when I've been trying to do it recently, i connect via activesync, run the program downloaded from the T mobile website, the phone goes into the 3 colour screen with USB at the bottom and then the computer tells me it's not connected. The seller has been very cooperative, and I can see it was working when she had it because there were call times to her old numbers.
I don't seem to be able to access call barring, caller id, call forwarding or call waiting settings, it tells me the setting couldn't be read from the network, if that helps at all?
Anyone suggest where I turn next?
My ROM version is 1.22.110.3
My radio version is 1.47.30.10
I'm trying on T Mobile PAYG UK
Edit: I've just tried swapping both my sims to my old phone (moto v535) to try and make some calls and they both now give me 'call failed' (including the brand new one, i've just activated and has only been in the MDA for a few hours tryna get it to work) yet still show 3-4 bars of signal. does this make any difference to diagnosing the problem?
