Go into the bootloader and, use mtty to connect to the phone (remember to disable ActiveSync through USB) and then issue the command info 2.

I've finish all the readings, what I mean is my phone is 3G Australian DOPOD, I used SSPL and flash it to a chinese ROM and When I tried to flash it back to the English version, while it flashing, something gone wrong and I was in the recovery process. The program on my PC said recovery is completed and ask me to re flash the ROM again, and I did.
But the program said invalid vendor ID. So at the moment no matter what ROMs I've tried, no luck.
also, because I can't boot into the phone, my phone doesn't have connection to the PC and I can't flash anything at all. Any idea how to fix this?

what can i do? i tried to reset it and format it
but an error shows up

Sounds like the built-in flash memory is bad. I'm not sure what you can do about that, short of replacing it.
No offense Reverend, but where did you hear that? Its just bad flash man! Simply enter the bootloader mode, and re-flash a new rom to your device. What program where you trying to install?

something from a pocket freeware site.. "XDA-Team_Manilla2D.CAB"
it's a touchflo 2d app for today screen.. after installing it, the sistem wouldn't boot up anymore. so i tried to format, soft reset, to restore the system..
the formatting started and then gave an error and shut down immediately. i didn't even catch a glimps of that error 'cause it restarted.. and then the problem. it won't go past the operator splash screen
tried to reformat.. would't start.. format failure
..simply wow.. don't get me wrong , but i didn't knew there was a bootloader screen until this happened.. i dug up about this problem on the forum, but i can't solve it.. i don't know that much about flashing.. isn't the wizard supposed to be cid-unlocked to be able to flash it with a new rom?
or there's a rom that doesn't require the pda to be unlocked?.. cause' i think mine isn't. and, since i can't get it to boot up the os, i can't cid-unlock it after the tutorials i've found here..

Oh you poor sole...that program that you tried to flash is notorious...I did the very same thing to mine just the other day. It doesnt work with the Wizard yet for some reason.
Now, onto your problem, yes-I think that your Wizard IS INDEED CID locked, and if that is the case, search for the Wizard LOVE ROM and flash it. It can be flashed with a CID unlocked device. Head into your bootloader mode, then start up the RUU flashing program on your PC that is included with the ROM. After it flashes, you can use the Wizard Service Tool, which is also availible via searching to CID and SIM unlock your device, and then you can put any ROM that you like onto it. I hope that helps somewhat!
If you can get it into bootloader mode, you can recover. If the phone is not unlocked, you will have to load the original service ROM for that phone.
You MIGHT get lucky by just flashing the IPL/SPL back though, now that I think about it...look at the "How to Remove HardSPL" thread for the most popular IPL/SPL sets. If this works, you won't have to put all of your custom settings and programs back on.

Simply,download the official stock rom of the carrier and flash it in Bootloader mode to recover back to its default status,than downgrade to IPL/SPL 1.xx to CID unlock the phone,how to CID unlock the phone, read and follow this guide carefully :-

i can't find anywhere the original one.. my wizard is in orange.ro carrier [orange spv m3000].. i tried on varios romanian discussion site's but only found radio rom's i'll keep searching...
any ideea what other kind might work with cid-locked?

If you have said the truth... you've got a G3 device cause your ipl spl are 2.27.

dude.. that's what i've been trying hard reseting it.. and i get the same error each time i try it "Format Failed"
no sd inserted.. i took it out a while ago.. cause i read on the forum to flash without it.
i begining to get desperate over here
i'll try other roms..
what else can i do than hope this works
Also take out if any sdcard or mini sd is inserted in the phone before flashing,it also causes this Format Failed problem.

I'm stuck in Bootloader SPL 1.1.
I've tried hard and soft reset but it just comes back to Bootloader (Red, Green, Blue and white screen).
Can re flash as it's not being recognised and just timesout.
On the screen it say's

IPL-v2.02
ATHE100
SPL-v1.10. RP00
Would trying to flash from SD card help, don't have a miniSD card so not tried.
Not sure how it got to this state as I purchased it from eBay as is.

Athena_WM6_TMUK_2.35.110.4
But get error Invalid Vendor ID
All other ROM's and upgrades that I've tried just timeout.

If your casing is black you may need to use these original roms
ftp://ftp.xda-developers.com/Athena/Shipped_Complete_Updates
once you have loaded a rom ,you have to unlock to accept non native roms.

i think the reply to task32 means it is not unlocked and i believe you should be able to flash a TMUK rom based on your description of the case.
Go basic and make sure you removed the sim and sd card
Use an XP machine and try a different cable.
You could try to find a TMUK wm5 rom
Flashing from sd card also removes some potential problems.
If all else fails you could try messaging cmonex who is a whiz in these situations

I've tried 2 PC's both XP and different cables still same issue.
Any idea where I could get TMUK WM5 tried looking but can't find, it's probably the only ROM I've not tried.
I've sent a message to cmonex so hopefully he will be able to help.
I've tried the TMUK WM6 and it at least starts to flash 1% then gets Invalid Vendor ID. All other ROM's just fail to communicate.

I believe I have a corrupt or Invalid Model ID which is preventing and ROM from being flashed.

I saw your multiple posts.
please don't ask the same question in 5 different threads.
The first thing to be clear about is what hardware do you have
x7500/x7501 is different to X7510
Which one do you have?
To apply any of the special ROMs you need to be unlocked and when you entered bootloader you should have seen either
athe100
IPL-v1.00
athe100
SPL-v1.20 Olipro
0r
Athe
IPL-v1.00
Athe
SPL-v3.50 Olipro
if you have an x7510 the numbers would have been different with Athe400(designating a different hardware)
If the SPL was 1.0x then you weren't unlocked and I don't think anyone knows how to fix your phone from here.
If you know what your original software is you could try flashing from bootloader.
if you don't understand the terms I have used, I suggest you read up the stickys and wiki before asking anything else as any solution will be quite complex.

I've tried using goldcard and attempting numerous .nbh files and each time the update fails on the Radio_V2 part. I've also tried updating with the standard and custom RUUs and these always fail at 91%. the RUU always says 'Error 270....update error...the image file is corrupted' no matter which ROM I use.
Updating the radio only stalls at 96% and gets stuck there.
Currently my bootloader says 'Update ROM code error Please try again. See the attached photo for a screenshot. I am able to connect to a pc ok and run updates.
Ive also tried a hard reset, which WORKS but still doesn't boot up the device.
Can anyone help here? If not it looks like my HD2 is going on eBay for spares!

I hear the hacked hardspl and sspl is nearly done so maybe this will help you to upgrade the rom?
Have you checked you have not brought some prototype or something as your spl version is way out.

i think he as used some hd stuff,not compatible with leo of course
maybe because it's a pre-release (prototype) unit you can't update it to a newer rom
it does sound like a prototype...
shouldnt need gold card.
have you tried flashing from sdcard without gold card in there?
try talking nicely to cmonex to see if she can help?

This looks like corrupted sectors in your device, try mtty, I think i seen similar problem before in herm or diamond
please searh the forum this one of them but try to find later version of mtty

try flashing without NK.nbf
Try flashing without the radio upgrade by removing the file mentioned in
the title (nk.nbf) from the folder where RUU.exe is exectuted (you might need to hunt fot the install files in the temporrary directories in your computer. The temp files are created after clicking the update.
Anyway, you're a senior You'll know what to so.
If there's no separate radio file for you, I would try taking the batt out,
then do a hard reset.

Try to flash using an official rom!! If You stil don't get through take off the battery for a couple hours then try again!! But If all this don't help, you'd better try to reflash with the rom you had previously
You used a MFG SPL = Developer SPL. Ask cmonex in the IRC for help. She works with the developer spl for hacking the spl.

Send "set 14 0" (without quotes) and then task 8 to reboot.

I'm assuming you bought the phone?... Send it for repairs, they don't ask what you did. Just say you did a hard reset and this happend.. Believe me, they don't care at the repair shop (for sure @ eurotwice.be), great service they pickit up @ your door If you lost the receipt p.m. me

Just fired up the HD2 to try out some MTTY commands and the boot screen has fired up. This is the first time it's not gone straight to bootloader.
I will await the device possibly kicking into life......fingers crossed.

I have got a bricked HTC ELF with a tri-colour screen.(red, green and blue). I did try matty.exe and found that cid is locked. g_cKeyCardSecurityLevel = FF
I dont have the original firmaware backed up. and could not find anywhere on this site and internet.

Is there any way to find the original rom or is there any way to unlock the cid and then just put any rom on it? I dont have the working pda or wm device to do goldcard method. I know there is way to do the goldcard method without the WM device but then I need a desktop or laptop with a PCI or internal cardreader installed whereas I have got a usb card reader.

All info you need is in the stickies and /or using search function. You need to unlock cid and flash custom rom. BTW tri-colour screen is called Bootloader.

Do you know the original operator for the phone? It is possible, at a push, that it may be lurking on a website still, just hard to find. That could possibly yeild a result, hopefully.

What's the damage if he tries all the roms, one after the other ? If there's none, gogagogi might get lucky
His phone is still CID locked. I guess it could potentially be a brick. I think, that or it won't let you flash the rom at all. I forget which - been a while!
gogagogi: Have you tried seeing if you can flash ipl/spl from SD card - never been in the position you're in so just curious.

yes it is cid locked. I did try to flash few stock roms which I thought similar to the rom I have got
on my device through usb data cable but no luck. after 2% or 3% is says invalid vendor ID. then I tried through micro sd card but same result.
then I tried unbricker rom through usb and micro sd card but same result.
even I tried to change the vendor id through a softerare called xvi32. that is
a hex reader. open the .nbh file and change the vendor id but the result was no good. it said " the file or image has been corrupted"
and I never tried to flash ipl and spl.

it was on T-mobile NL.(netherlands).
I did have a look at the link u sent it to me.
after reading it, I found out that Microsoft ActiveSYnc has to be green first.(connected).
whereas it can not be connected, if the device is stuck on bootloader so this option has gone too.
the only option so far is, either I find out the original rom or if I can find out some matty.exe commands which can help me unlock the CID so that I can put any rom.
matty.exe is working fine so far.
so what do u think?

When in bootloader does it say RUU at the top right? And does it pick up USB connection? Have you tried to flash via SDCARD the IPL/SPL roms?

The Elf isnt even my main device. I use a HTC Hero (Android), and have done for quite a long time now. I look in here simply to help out other people who are still using this device.

well it does say ruu text at the right top corner and it does say usb at the bottom.
as I said it does connect through Matty.exe.

OKay, as the ruu is there, you should still be able to flash a from that point - I have done this a fair few times.
Have you tried the IPL/SPL yet?
