I have installed the Prophet ROM on my Charmer and the camera isn't working. Any way to fix it?
Try copying camera drivers to from charmer rom. Should work.

Hi there, maybe anyone out there can help me. I did an update with the newest german Rom Update for the Prophet to the Charmer, because a read that it worked for someone. Well, update works, but after reboot there's only the startscreen of O2 with the 4 red numbers, and then nothing happens...
What can I do?

I installed camera patch signed_camerapatch_ov9650.sa.cab ,
the reg updated SensorType =dword:00000002,but i reboot the phones ,the reg become SensorType =dword:00000000

just make a hard reset and see if it works, if not, then its not software problem but hardware.
spv and imate sp3 upgrad to wm6 and then i also install htc camera software and ofter that my phone s camera is not working .is anybody there who help me please tell how i can work my camera again
Camera was working.
This is a G4 Wizard (MDA) with 2.26.001 ipl (originally)
History:
I did a hard spl on it
Then sim unlock with lokiwiz
I put on WM6 (I forget which rom I started with)
The camera worked fine still. I have since changed roms a couple of times, only using the g4 rom utility (no ipl/spl changes). Somewhere along the way, the camera stopped working. When I start the camera app, it just freezes.
Since then, I have tried a couple of more roms, with no luck. I went back to wm5se, no luck. I went ahead and did the hard spl removal, all the way back to reloading the orginal ipl/spl from tmobile w/ official rom.
Still doesn't work.
Oh, and there was a camera fix cab file floating around, but that didn't fix it, and I don't think that one was meant for this issue anyway.
Is there possibly a 3rd party camera software that might work. I wonder if the hardware is fine, but the camera software is somehow corrupted.
BTW, I think I had 2.21.001 when I started. I am unsure how to go back to 2.21.001 though.
anybody had this happen? kinda strange for it to go out suddenly. I didn't drop it or anything.
Are there any 3rd party ways to access the camera hardware?

I had a problem with my secondary (front) camera. When I switch my camera from main camera to the secondary camera of my Dopod D810, it suddenly shutdown and stated 'Unable to start Camera. Unable to initialize camera'. I had upgraded my D810 to Windows Mobile 6.0 (official ROM) from HTC. According to the HTC customer service, it might have an internal hardware problem.
So, anyone of you having similar problem like me here ? Any workaround for this ?

I had a similar problem recently on a Kaiser Device, it was easily fixed by flashing a new radio rom. Try searching for an updated radio rom (one that's suitable for WM6).

new radio ROM ?
My Dopod D810 is currently on WM6.0 (ROM version: 3.00.707.28) and my radio version is 1.46.30.11. My protocol version: 32.79.7020.19H.
Are you able to suggest me which radio ROM suitable for my unit ? I'm a bit skeptical if the new radio ROM able to solve the problem but anyway I will not know if it is really work without try it first !

Sorry I can't help any further. It's only a suggestion based on a previous problem that I had. You need to do some googling and searching on this forum. There are newer radio roms that are easy to find with a little searching.
Not working even with new radio ROM
I had upgraded my radio ROM but it doesn't fix the secondary camera problem. I suspected it is more to hardware related.
